  1. It's supposed to be a rant, but it turns out it's a guide. What a Misleading lol
  2.
  3. Dude, Nihilego is such a good pokemon if you have the good coverage. And in this meta, people usually expect it to have power gem + sludge wave. So this thing called toxapex can fcking wall it outright, yea? Yes but not if you have Thunderbolt. While the specially defensive set is a 3 Hit KO clean, the defensive set has the chance of 2 Hit KO by tbolt. But like if you only use those 2 moves being power gem and sludge wave, you can't handle garchomp, that you outspeed but no HP ice. Also if enemy has something like Mudsdale, you need grass knot. Now.. I believe a good nihilego set is actually the Sash Lead kinda suicide lead thingy. The 2 must have moves in this set are stealth rock and sludge wave, while the other 2 can be changed depending on what you need for your team.
  4.
  5. There are 5 good moves of choice for the remaining 2
  6.
  7. - Toxic Spikes
  8. If your team is kinda bulkier team that can sometimes take some hits and recover as well, consider toxic spikes as this will make enemy to have a timer on their heads. Though, it would be bad if they have toxapex or any poison type that can hit the ground as the toxic spikes can be absorbed to their body heuhue. Also it hits so much non-poison type opponent as there are not that many flying type or levitate mons they run. The one that are common are usually Celesteela and gyarados (usually mega)
  9. - Thunderbolt
  10. This move can hit pelipper(, also can hit mantine and such in pokebank ou), celesteela and toxapex. Simple
  11. - Power Gem
  12. Even this is the other stab of nihilego, without this you can't really deal well with alolan marowak or even pelipper in this gen. But like, other than marowak in this gen, it doesn't really cover up some of your weakness. Tho pokemon like charizard Y/X or Volcarona can get rekt when got hit by this move which is after pokebank.
  13. - Grass Knot
  14. Can hit stuff like gastrodon which in some rare cases people will run this in the ladder, but also for mudsdale. Yea... but after pokebank, this move can effectively hit swampert, hippowdown or even seismitoad.
  15. - HP Ice
  16. This is crucial after pre pokebank as Lando-I will be almost everywhere. And also being faster than both Lando-I and Garchomp, this thing can effectively 2 Hit KO both and 100% OHKO with rocks up with no item. But for now, it won't really hit anything but garchomp 4x super effectively. I guess Salamence but like, why salamence if hydreigon is there lol
  17.
  18. So yea
  19. The set I'm running for now is this
  20. Nihilego @ Focus Sash
  21. Ability: Beast Boost
  22. EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
  23. Timid Nature
  24. IVs: 0 Atk
  25. - Stealth Rock
  26. - Toxic Spikes
  27. - Sludge Wave
  28. - Thunderbolt
  29. It's pretty good tbh
  30.
  31. You can actually run life orb and dont put any hazard on this thing as all out attacker. Probably with Sludge Wave, Power Gem, Grass Knot and Thunderbolt
