  1. Q: What is this?
  2.
  3. A: This is a CPU King of the Hill stream. Using your "deck" of five characters and five stages, you try and defeat your opponent once it is your turn on the list.
  4.
  5. Q: How do I make or find a deck?
  6.
  7. A: Type !makeadeck in Twitch chat to create your own deck for usage. Alternatively, check to see if your deck already exists, or just find one that looks good, by typing !decks in chat.
  8.
  9. Q: I know what deck I want. Now, how do I select it and sign up?
  10.
  11. A: Type "!joinlist <your name>" to enter. If you have already joined the list before, you can just type "!joinlist". Next, select your deck by using D3Kbot's "stage" command. For example, Deck 1 (the first listed deck on !decks) is chosen by typing "!stage Deck 1", "!stage Deck1" or "!stage D1".
  12.
  13. Q: I need to go. How do I leave the list?
  14.
  15. A: !dropspot
  16.
  17. Q: How do I choose which character and stage I use for each match?
  18.
  19. A: You can choose which character you want to use for a certain match by whispering SROVRSTRM your character choice and stage before the match in question.
  20.
  21. Q: Why are there five characters chosen and not just one?
  22.
  23. A: The reasoning for having multiple characters instead of one is to offer a degree of control from the viewer; since bots can't "get good", matchups will most likely be won by prediction via selecting a counter character instead of getting lucky in a bad matchup. Having only one character is fine, but boils down to only top tiers staying relevant, since they have the best shot at defeating the field. This system gives the lower tier characters a chance to shine if picked properly.
  24.
  25. Q: Why are Ganondorf, Link, and Luigi lower leveled?
  26.
  27. A: Ganondorf, Link, and Luigi are all listed at their highest AI levels available in which they don't essentially break the CPU meta by having no counter and shutting down everyone. Last year, SmashCPU had tried just about everything to discourage the overuse of these characters, but it didn't work. Since some people may still want to use these characters for the character aspect of them and not their overpoweredness, this is the best compromise I can come up with.
  28.
  29. Q: Then why not lower the level of the current top tiers?
  30.
  31. A: Peach, Dr. Mario, Falco, and Level 7 Luigi all can be countered by multiple characters below them. It is not an exaggeration to say that Level 9 Ganon/Link/Luigi are overpowered and, as a result, boring to watch.
  32.
  33. Q: Who decided these tiers?
  34.
  35. A: The tiers were voted on by a group of people who were active participants in the SmashCPU community, who saw and recorded data on thousands of matches between CPUs. In the future, tiers will most likely change due to their impact on the CPU meta, similar to Pokemon's tiers.
  36.
  37. Q: What is up with the stage list?
  38.
  39. A: It's entertaining to see CPUs interact with the silly stages in this game, and suspenseful when you might be the one SD-ing on Fourside or Yoshi's Island after dominating most of the stock. CPUs don't really camp or abuse the dumb parts of stages that are illegal in real tournaments. The exception to this would be Icicle Mountain, Rainbow Cruise, Yoshi's Island 64, and Brinstar Depths, which are all banned due to the CPUs not really fighting each other so much as interacting with the stage, which is boring to watch. In addition, Fountain of Dreams and Venom are banned because they do not run at 60 frames in Dolphin on lower end rigs.
