  5. General Notes:

  7. - Taking damage isn't taken into consideration in this route, but since you only lose 1 point, it shouldn't really matter
  8. - Keep in mind that killing most enemies in 1 hit will give you an additional 30 points (or 60 with a powerup)
  9. - The HD version cannot make use of the Menu Breakout Glitch to dupe score, so keep in mind that excecuting this route
  10. properly is alot harder than on the GameCube-version

  14. - This route does not use Start-of-Level PCM in a level that's not the first level of a world. If you trigger Start-of-Level
  15. PCM in these levels, the score won't be counted towards the total since you most likely will get less score than what your
  16. total was before you entered said level
  17. - Green Gems don't give you points if you get them in a x4 or x5 combo multiplier if you are using a can (12,000 or 15,000
  18. combo)
  19. - Score combos that give around 100 points or less are usually simply there because the area you go through has gems in the
  20. way, so you end up just collecting them, but they are usually by no means required
  21. - Please do note that not every backup will be listed in this route. Only the fast backups are being listed. If you're really
  22. low on points, you should make up your own backups for this, as there are too many backups to list you could do in several
  23. ways
  24. - Your point amount will most likely be off by some amount as you do the run, but as long as you do everything according to
  25. the route (and make use of backups if needed), you should get the Murfy Stamps
  26. - If you're running this and learning based on these notes and the route, please make note of the backups as well. These are
  27. important and vital to keeping your run alive. The backups can also act as safe strats to get extra score.

  33. FC 2 : Get the first 3 Yellow Gems in a combo that are along the path (50 points)

  35. There are Yellow Gems that are on the bridge. Collect the Yellow Gems on the bridge and make sure to get the Yellow
  36. Gem in front last. Then afterwards get the Yellow Gems in the corner of the room and then the Red Gems on the red
  37. mushrooms in a combo (480 points - 530 total)

  39. Perform an SJ on the red mushroom and get the Yellow Gem directly above (10 points - 540 total)

  41. Collect the Yellow Gems in the small passageway in a combo (50 points - 590 total)

  48. fact that you have to get them all since it's not necessary, but for the sake of consistency in score, they are here

  51. Grab the third-highest ledge early and get the 2 Yellow Gems before the locked door in a combo (30 points - 710 total)

  53. Perform an ESJ in the piggybank room and fly towards the mushrooms. Then kill the Slapdash and get the Matuvu there in
  54. a combo and go for the exit (530 points - 1,240 total)

  58. FC 4 : Perform an SJ to get up the mushrooms early. Then collect the Yellow Gems on the mushrooms (70 points - 1,310 total)

  62. Strafe towards the Tribelle so it doesn't wake up and don't collect it yet. Go into first-person mode and aim the
  63. camera directly up to get the Matuvu, then get the Tribelle and the Yellow Gems in a combo (840 points - 2,160 total)

  65. After the combo from above, let's assume the Green Can ran out. In the next room, you do a Moonbounce to skip the
  66. fairy cutscene. Once you're in the fairy room, kill the Slapdash and grab a ledge (30 points - 2,190 total)

  68. Let's assume the Green Can ran out now. Now do a Moonbounce to get out of the room and collect the Yellow Gems by
  69. climbing up the walls (70 points - 2,260 total)

  71. Go into the room with the Ninja Crabs, ignore both of them for now. Get the Green Can, ingore the Yellow Gem on your
  72. right and roll off of the ledge where the Green Can was on (since that's faster). Grab the Yellow Gems at the
  73. climbable wall and on the higher ledge you get to with it, then hit the mushroom, get the gem on top of it, roll off
  74. of the mushroom's ledge and collect the gems where there's a red gem in the middle of it, then kill the Ninja Crab
  75. that's left and walk to the Tribelle behind the platform where the climbable wall was, all in one combo

  78. Then do an RSJ off of the Green Can platform and go to the exit

  84. FC 6 : Get all the gems in a combo. As an important note, the platform that has a Green Gem on it, make sure you actually
  85. land on the front side of it by jumping off of the previous platform early. If you let Rayman jump off of it by
  86. himself, he'll miss the first Yellow Gem and loses 1,500 points from the Green Gem due to the combo multiplier not
  87. going up to x2 (7,520 points - 21,140 total)

  89. FC Backups:

  91. In FC 2, you can start the combo on the bridge and the mushrooms by standing on the bridge and make sure to not collect any of the gems yet. Then you go into first-person mode to get the Matuvu directly above you and then proceed with the normal combo

  93. In FC 4, in the first room with the Hoodblaster, you can kill him, get it's Green Can and get the Matuvu in that room in a combo. Additionally you can also proceed to hit the mushrooms for a slightly higher score.

  95. In FC 4, you can also use the Green Can you get from the Slapdash and hit the mushrooms, get the gems and kill the Podocrocks in one combo. Warning!: If you do both of the FC 4 backups, you HAVE to watch the fairy cutscene. The reason for this is because for whatever reason, the trigger for the Slapdash giving you the Green Can doesn't work if you killed the Hoodblaster beforehand. You can however still do the second backup while avoiding the fairy cutscene. It just means you can't get the point sources with the Green Can and you can't hit the mushrooms.

  97. In the Teensie Highway, you can make yourself drop early to let the last combo kick in. This is always very recommended if you're unsure if you're going to hit the required 20,821 points.

  103. CF 1 : Ignore the Hoodlums and do Laser Skip and break the cage for the Green Can
  104.  
  105. Then you collect the Yellow Gems in the hallway in a combo (180 points)

  107. Then you kill the Hoodblaster, get the Matuvu and hit the mushroom in a combo (1,300 points - 1,480 total)

  109. Collect the Yellow Gems on the bridge until the cutscene occurs (60 points - 1,540 total)

  111. Now let's assume the Green Can ran out. Now don't kill the Hoodlum that appears before you. Go past him and break the
  112. cage on the right, then kill the Hoodblaster holding the Red Can and get it. After the cutscene, you start the combo
  113. by getting the gems the cage left behind, then kill the Hoodblaster you ignored earlier, then go back and refresh the
  114. Red Can to go to the wooden door containing piggybanks and get all the points in this section in one combo

  186. In CF 1, you can obviously get the gems behind the wooden door in a combo. The route just doesn't have them in for the sake of consistency. But you can just get them as an extra without wasting time.

  188. In CF 2, after you killed the 5 Hoodblasters you ignored previously, there will be 3 more appearing. You can break the piggybanks in that room and kill the Hoodblasters in a combo (make sure to have hit the wooden door already so you don't need to get the Red Can again)

  190. In CF 3, when you're breaking the doors at the end of the level, there's 2 Hoodblasters there still that can be killed. Kill one of them and get the Matuvu in that room in a combo, or just kill the 2 Hoodblasters without getting the Matuvu. The Hoodblaster in front of the second last door deems to be in your way, so you can easily just kill it for 280 extra points without wasting any time.

  192. In the Teensie Highway (CF 6), it is assumed that you lose your combo upon collecting the group of gems by like a frame. There is however a chance that you won't lose your combo and get a bit more score out of it. If you lose your combo, it doesn't actually reset the combo multiplier because like in the video, you get a x3 multiplier on the Green Gem.

  254. Unfortunately, there aren't really any good backups I can recommend here, but the score is alot more lenient than the others, so you shouldn't need them if you practiced the route a fair bit.

  256. I would sooner recommend to take out a strat from the route if you want to aim for a good time. What you can do is just not bother with the routed combo on BoM 2, so you basically just kill the Hoodblaster giving you the Green Can, kill the Stumbleboom, lower the 2 mushrooms and kill the 2 Slapdashes and break the cage. This loses 4,550 points putting your total at the end at around 26,680 points. Or if you want to save time and put less risk into it, you could just add the Matuvu to this combo, giving you 1,500 extra points.
