  1. How do you tell someone your feelings when your strictly forbidden to say them?
  2.
  3. My designation is QT-3142 and I’m a Northstar class titan. I’ve been with my pilot through 999 conflicts now having downed 5527 enemy titans and eliminated 30521 hostile threats. No matter how bad things get, my pilot would make sure that I would survive and end up back on board the IMC ship, Straya. My pilot would go as far as to personally buff out many of scratches, dents and other bits of damage sustained in our last fight, something I rarely see other pilots do for their titans.

  5. Protocol 1: Link with the Pilot
  6.
  7. I don’t know when I started to develop feelings for my pilot. I feel like it was a slow process, but over the hours we’ve spent together, we’ve become quite capable of reading each other’s thoughts and plans. When he’s with me, I feel like I’m complete. He used to be quite rough when he was first piloting me, but over the years he’s become a lot more controlled and gentle. We’ve got to the stage where even if he’s not piloting me, I can predict his movements and aid him in whatever way possible.

  9. Protocol 2: Uphold the Mission
  10.
  11. Through our time linked, we understand one another. As such, we’ve yet to come across a mission in recent times that we’ve failed to uphold. Our mutual understanding of one another allows us to accomplish great things, hence our impressive record against enemy titans and infantry. When we are together, our missions get done and at the end of each and every one he’ll thank me for my help. Always a gentleman. Today is our 1000 mission together; to me it is more than that though. It’s our anniversary. I want to tell him how I feel. I want to tell him that I <ERROR> him.
  12.
  13. Protocol 3: Protect the Pilot
  14.
  15. To prevent our pilot from becoming too attached to us titans, they removed any and all words that express deep emotional connection. If we were to say these things, our pilots might hesitate or make an otherwise bad decision. To prevent this, they just made it so we can’t say them at all. We can still say words like “happy” or “sad” but our vocabulary is intentionally limited. We have to protect the pilot, no matter what the cost.
