  9. 1. You are REQUIRED to at LEAST be 15 years of age to be in this chat. If you are found to be under the age limit, you will be banned until you are of the correct age, regardless of your behaviour.

  11. 2. No excessive use of vulgar language/expletives. This ESPECIALLY applies to the use of derogatory terms, whether they are directed at chat members or not. Warnings will be given, and in the event you still refuse to comply, you will be kicked.

Given that this is an OOC channel for a ROLEPLAY group, we would very much appreciate it if discussions were generally aimed at plot/characters etc. We understand that some days RP talk won't be as prevalent and regular discussion is allowed, but should anything RP related arise it will be prioritised.

  15. 4. Be RESPECTFUL to both chat members AND operators. Each individual is entitled to their own opinion on a matter, and we are under no obligation to have our opinions coincide with yours.

  17. 5. If a chat member says something offensive, CALMLY address a CHAT OPERATOR. If you think a chat op is being unfair, contact a DIFFERENT operator. Do NOT try to fix EITHER situation by yourself or with the aid of other members. Chat ops are here for a reason, and we ask that you contact us when you need us, either via PM or the 'ops' ping.

  19. 6. Do NOT spam the chat.This is a highly annoying act and it is incredibly problematic for those trying to have a conversation. The channel DOES have the capability to kick those who post a minimum of 14 consecutive messages inside of a 10 second window (if memory serves), however operators will manually kick those found to be spamming as well.
  20. 6.1. Also, please do NOT spam the BOT (Gordon)! This goes for tells, youtube/image link requests, etc.

  22. 7. If an operator requests a certain conversation topic be dropped, either of their own accord or by proxy of a chat member, please do so. We understand that there are certain topics which may make some people uncomfortable, and to avoid causing discomfort as much as possible we suggest you listen when an operator calls for a halt on a discussion.
  23. 7.1. This also applies for certain jokes that may be regarded as inappropriate.

  25. ---ETIQUETTE FOR ADMINS, OPS, HALFOPS AND VOICED MEMBERS---

  27. 1. VOICED MEMBERS, chances are you have been given +v for a reason. This is NOT a privilege that should be abused, ESPECIALLY in the case that a channel has to be muted. Staff hold the right to revoke this privilege at any given time.

  29. 2. HALFOP AND ABOVE, I implore you refrain from needlessly awarding +v or +o to a member on the grounds that they made a witty quip or anything else that is just plain pointless.
  30. 2.1. This also applies to 'lulzkicks' or 'lulzbans'.
  31. 2.2. No, this is not grounds for muting the channel 'for the lulz' either.

  33. 3. Please change the channel topic in moderation!

  35. 4. Weekly/Monthly site password changes should be mandatory.
