Get past youtube age restriction using Chrome

I am a grown up. I like watching videos for grown ups but I don't like being logged in to youtube. Especially not since google have clusterfucked their account handling to the point where it is wholly unusable at points.

Below is an semi-elegant solution to getting past youtube's age and login restriction.

1 Use Chrome web browser.
2 In "Settings" find "Manage search engines..."
3 At the bottom of the list add "youtube for grown ups;yu;https://youtube.googleapis.com/v/%s" in the respective fields.
4 From now on each time you reach a restricted video copy the hash to your video, ie the string after https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=STRINGTOCOPY
5 Write "yu" in the address bar, press tab and paste your string.
6 ???
7 Profit

Another solution is to install the extension Youtube Age Bypass, alas it wont work with SSL enforcing, hence my solution.
