- [05:21] <Jamster> -----START-----
- [05:22] <Orea> I continue walking up the hill
- [05:22] <Jamster> You have just climbed over the gate guarding this large hill. To your right lies one of those portal that you assume will take you back to your house. In front of you is pathway leading up into the hill.
- [05:23] <Orea> I follow the pathway
- [05:24] <Jamster> The pathway seems to run up along the side of the hill. The pathway is quite narrow and requires caution walking up it.
- [05:25] <Jamster> After a few minutes of walking, you eventually come across a stone bridge. Beneath the stone bridge is a steep drop. You can't seem to see the bottom of it.
- [05:25] <Orea> "Well, good thing there is a bridge :!"
- [05:26] <Jamster> Apart from having several cracks in it, the bridge appears to be quite sturdy.
- [05:26] <Orea> I hold my grappling knife just in case and walk across the bridge
- [05:26] <Jamster> Roll for Dex
- [05:26] <Orea> !Roll 1d20+4
- [05:26] <Tyche[Dice]> Orea rolled : 1d20+4 --> [ 1d20=6 ]{10}
- [05:26] <Jamster> Actually roll for perception.
- [05:27] <Orea> !roll 1d20+4
- [05:27] <Tyche[Dice]> Orea rolled : 1d20+4 --> [ 1d20=17 ]{21}
- [05:27] <Jamster> As you are passing over the bridge, you notice a thin tripwire lays in the middle of it!
- [05:28] <Jamster> It appears to be rigged up to 2 small explosives.
- [05:29] <Orea> I attempt to remove the explosives from the trap
- [05:29] <Orea> (can i just captcha them or shall I roll for engineering?)
- [05:29] <Jamster> Roll for Engineering.
- [05:30] <Orea> !roll 2#1d20+2
- [05:30] <Tyche[Dice]> Orea rolled : 2#1d20+2 --> [ 1d20=15 ]{17}, [ 1d20=18 ]{20}
- [05:30] <Orea> (yellowbloods have advantage)
- [05:31] <Jamster> You manage to disarm both of the explosives qutie easily. It appears that whoever set this up only had a basic understanding of trapsetting.
- [05:31] <Jamster> Add 2 small bombs to your inventory.
- [05:31] <Orea> I also captcha the tripwire mechanism
- [05:32] <Orea> well, along with the tripwire
- [05:32] <Orea> I then continue on the bridge
- [05:34] <Jamster> You continue along the bridge, and eventually walk off the bridge and back onto the pathway. You continue along the pathway for about a half hour, before coming to a bend in the road. While the pathway still continues forward, there is a break off to the right.
- [05:35] <Jamster> The path you have been walking along has been a dirt path, but the one to the right appears to be made of cobblestone.
- [05:35] <Orea> What material was the wall and bridge made of?
- [05:36] <Jamster> The bridge was made of stone. What wall are you talking about?
- [05:36] <Orea> the one i climbed over
- [05:36] <Orea> eh anyway
- [05:37] <Orea> I walk along the cobblestone path
- [05:37] <Jamster> Oh, the gate. It appeared to be made out of some kind of wood.
- [05:38] <Jamster> You turn unto the cobblestone pathway. The hill begins to close in around you. It seems to be that you are now inside the hill itself.
- [05:38] <Jamster> The cobblestone pathway begins to lead upwards.
- [05:39] <Jamster> ((Drawing a map, hold on.))
- [05:43] <Jamster> Eventually, the pathway opens up to a large cavernous area. You are suddenly assaulted with a blazing heat! Off in the distance, you see a river of lava flowing about.
- [05:43] <Jamster> Several large boulders dot this area.
- [05:43] <Jamster> http://i.imgur.com/El4DfAz.png
- [05:45] <Jamster> Roll for Perception.
- [05:47] <Orea> !roll 1d20+4
- [05:47] <Tyche[Dice]> Orea rolled : 1d20+4 --> [ 1d20=4 ]{8}
- [05:49] <Jamster> You don't seem to notice anything odd about the area currently.
- [05:50] <Orea> I look for the source of the lava, it must be an active source otherwise the lava would have solidified
- [05:51] <Orea> And its possible that this hill is infact a shield volcano, which means that the lava will be very hot and very runny, yet there will be little pressure or risk of gas
- [05:52] <Jamster> The lava appears to be coming from a hole in the wall to the right.
- [05:52] <Jamster> The hole is about 7 ft above the ground.
- [05:52] <Orea> interesting..
- [05:52] <Orea> I examine the boulders
- [05:52] <Orea> and also look for where they came from
- [05:53] <Orea> they either are remains from the cavern getting eroded, in which case they will be an interesting material, or they are rubble which means that there is somewhere they came from
- [05:54] <Jamster> Roll for investigation.
- [05:55] <Orea> !roll 1d20+3
- [05:55] <Tyche[Dice]> Orea rolled : 1d20+3 --> [ 1d20=12 ]{15}
- [05:55] <Jamster> The boulders appear to have come from the ceiling. You note that ceiling isn't that high up either; it appears to only be 20 or so feet high.
- [05:56] <Jamster> However, the ceiling doesn't really look unstable, so the boulders shouldn't have just fallen off.
- [05:57] <Orea> I contemplate what caused them. Maybe an earthquake? Its possible that currently we are on a constructive plate margin
- [05:57] <Orea> In that case there must be a lot of geothermal energy that could be used to power something.. maybe thats why the hill is used?
- [05:58] <Orea> I look for any mushrooms in the cave, maybe there are some extremophile mushrooms, but I should be careful as extremophiles are normally very dangerous
- [05:59] <Orea> Or they can be very healthy if their environment is purely naturally dangerous
- [06:00] <Jamster> Roll for Nature.
- [06:02] <Orea> you mean survival?
- [06:02] <Jamster> Pfftt, same thing.
- [06:02] <Jamster> Roll for Survival.

- [06:04] <Tyche[Dice]> Jamster rolled : 1d15 --> [ 1d15=13 ]{13}
- [06:05] <Jamster> You find a mushroom laying a few feet away from the lava stream. It is compeltely grey.
- [06:08] <Orea> hmm.. a deprive mushroom
- [06:08] <Orea> I decide that leaving it alone might be the better course of action
- [06:09] <Orea> I look past the lava stream deeper into the cavern
- [06:10] <Jamster> There appears to be a pathway on the otherside of the lava stream. The pathway appears to be dirt like the one before.
- [06:12] <Orea> is it possible for me to traverse the lava?
- [06:13] <Jamster> You can, but it is unlikely that your legs will survive the crossing.
- [06:14] <Orea> I decide that with the lava warming the cave, and with a while to kill I could read my journal a bit and find out what is at the top of the hill
- [06:14] <Orea> !roll 1d20+3
- [06:14] <Tyche[Dice]> Orea rolled : 1d20+3 --> [ 1d20=19 ]{22}
- [06:15] <Orea> I decide to wait as lava cools and solidifies fairly quickly - at least enough that it would be safe to jump over and walk lightly on as the surface would crust back into rock. and the hole would plug itself fairly quickly
- [06:15] <Orea> Even the runniest of lava cools its surface in seconds and solidifies well in minutes
- [06:25] <Jamster> You open the journal up. Words begin forming before your eyes. "Finally made it to the top of the mountain :! The guardians gave me quite a bit of trouble, but Jean apologized and patched me up :! He's quite the crafter, but I'm still not sure where he even got the materials to make this stuff :? He keeps dodging the question whenever I ask hi
- [06:25] <Jamster> m :/ Anyways, I can see an incredibly large mushroom from up here, and Jean tells me that's where the capital city is :! The path still looks rather... long :/ I wonder if there's an easier way to get there :?"
- [06:28] <Orea> Hmm.. interesting
- [06:28] <Orea> I close my journal again and check the lava
- [06:28] <Orea> I the contemplate if it is lava or magma
- [06:28] <Orea> as it is technically underground still
- [06:29] <Orea> but its come out from further under the ground
- [06:31] <Jamster> The stream of lava (or possibly magma) does not seem to be cooling down at all.
- [06:31] <Orea> Thats... odd

- [06:33] <Jamster> You hear movement coming from behind you. You turn around swiftly, and notice an Ogre with a boulder in its hands!
- [06:34] <Jamster> The Ogre appears to be of the GunBot variety, but he also has the numbers 1-12 adjourning his body in random places.

- [06:35] <Jamster> You manage to dodge out of the way in time to dodge it though!
- [06:35] <Jamster> *move out of the way
- [06:36] <Jamster> The boulder settles into the lava with a SPLASH.
- [06:36] <Jamster> You manage to narrowly avoid the droplets of lava it sends flying through the air.
- [06:36] <Jamster> Your turn!
- [06:38] <Orea> I equip my bow and fire a basic shot at the ogre

- [06:39] <Jamster> It stumbles backwards, roaring.
- [06:39] <Jamster> ((End of your turn?))
- [06:41] <Orea> I run to behind another boulder
- [06:41] <Orea> and then end my turn

- [06:43] <Jamster> Your turn!
- [06:44] <Orea> I run from my current boulder to outside the boulder, shoot at the ogre and finish behind the next boulder

- [06:46] <Jamster> Ohhh, that's right.
- [06:46] <Jamster> What did we decide for ignite chance? 25%?
- [06:46] <Orea> 18-20
- [06:47] <Jamster> Ah, that's right.
- [06:47] <Orea> 1d4 damage for 1d4 turns iirc?
- [06:47] <Orea> lemmie check
- [06:47] <Jamster> Yup

- [06:50] <Orea> I pick up the grist and look for the boulder that he threw in the lava
- [06:50] <Orea> Before it heats up I jump onto the boulder and use it to get across the lava
- [06:50] <Jamster> The Boulder has settled down in the lava, making the stream now crossable!
- [06:53] <Orea> I continue crossing the stream
- [06:55] <Jamster> You cross the stream. The boulder is rather unsteady and unstable, but you manage to walk across without falling in.
- [06:55] <Jamster> You're now on the other side. You see a hole in the wall that continues the pathway again. You see light coming out from it, so you assume that this will take you outside again.
- [06:59] <Orea> I go through the hole
- [07:01] <Jamster> You walk through the hole. After a couple of mintues, you come out on the other side. Looking around, you realize that you're nearly at the top!
- [07:01] <Jamster> You look around. You notice that there are stairs to the left of the hole you just came out of.
- [07:01] <Jamster> The stairs appear to be made of... marble?
- [07:02] <Jamster> There's no sign of erosion or anything on them. They appear to be in pristine condition.
- [07:04] <Orea> I walk up the stairs. Clearly its some sort of sign that this is created?
- [07:04] <Jamster> Roll for Perception.
- [07:05] <Orea> !roll 1d20+4
- [07:05] <Tyche[Dice]> Orea rolled : 1d20+4 --> [ 1d20=13 ]{17}
- [07:06] <Jamster> As you walk up the stairs, you think you hear a small 'click' sound come from one of the steps.
- [07:07] <Orea> thoughts rush through my head
- [07:07] <Orea> It is either a pressure mine, in which case I need to keep pressure on it, or in about 0.1 seconds I am about to get exploded, from the trap being triggered. From seeing the bridge its probably explosives
- [07:08] <Orea> I keep pressure on the step
- [07:08] <Orea> I then look for what caused the click
- [07:09] <Jamster> You appear to have stepped on a contraption of sorts with your left foot. The step is very slightly pressed down.
- [07:10] <Orea> I remember the journal entry
- [07:11] <Orea> This must be some kind of trap which was made by that crafter guy
- [07:11] <Orea> and this must be a trap of the guardians
- [07:11] <Orea> Where DID he get these materials from
- [07:11] <Orea> From what entry.. its probably made of something hard to get
- [07:11] <Orea> I check my inventory for something of use
- [07:12] <Orea> IF ONLY I HAD TAKEN THE ROCK WITH ME! OH WOE I KNEW I SHOULD HAVE LISTENED TO HER
- [07:12] <Orea> instead I dump several fish on the step after shuffling through my sylladex
- [07:12] <Orea> 4 fish infact
- [07:13] <Orea> Having put enough pressure on the step, I continue walking up, trying to skip as many steps as possible
- [07:13] <Jamster> Roll for Perform

- [07:14] <Orea> ughh
- [07:14] <Orea> I repeat the same process
- [07:14] <Jamster> At this point, you can see over the top of the steps.
- [07:15] <Orea> I realise that I am quickly running out of fish
- [07:15] <Orea> I run up to the top of the steps
- [07:15] <Orea> but make sure that there isn't another tripwire at the top
- [07:16] <Jamster> You find that there is, in fact, a tripwire at the top.
- [07:17] <Jamster> You're able to bypass it easily though.
- [07:18] <Orea> i once again try to take the explosives
- [07:18] <Orea> !roll 2#1d20+2
- [07:18] <Tyche[Dice]> Orea rolled : 2#1d20+2 --> [ 1d20=20 ]{22}, [ 1d20=4 ]{6}
- [07:19] <Jamster> You find that there isn't an explosion attached to the tripwires, but two bells.
- [07:19] <Jamster> Hitting the tripwire would've caused the bells to go off.
- [07:20] <Orea> I decide that leaving the bells there is for the best
- [07:20] <Jamster> You realize that you are now on top of the hill. In front of you is a rather small Marble Temple. It appears to be made with Greek influences in mind.
- [07:21] <Orea> I check for more traps
- [07:23] <Jamster> The front entrance seems to be blocked by two stone statues. Both of them are quite appealing to the eye. Both statues have the head of what you think is a Japanese demon. Each one has a single wing on their back; the left has a wing on its left side, and the right has a wing on its right side. The one on the left is completely blue, and the one
- [07:23] <Jamster> of the right is completely red. In each of their hands is a spear. The spears are crossed in an X in front of the entrance.
- [07:23] <Jamster> There doesn't appear to be anymore traps in the near vicintity.
- [07:25] <Orea> I look away and then look back at the statues
- [07:26] <Jamster> The statues do not appear to be weeping angels.
- [07:26] <Orea> that is a good start
- [07:26] <Orea> I inspect the spears of the statues
- [07:26] <Orea> What are they made of
- [07:28] <Jamster> They appear to made out of some sort of metal. Possibly steel?
- [07:29] <Orea> I attempt to just slip through the spears
- [07:29] <Orea> "G'day sirs"
- [07:29] <Jamster> As soon as you slip under the spears, a loud beeping assaults your ears.
- [07:30] <Orea> "ffs.. Can one of you two turn that beeping off?"
- [07:30] <Jamster> The statues begin to slowly but surely.... creak to life!
- [07:30] <Orea> "I guess thats an alarm clock then?"
- [07:30] <Jamster> The Red Statues pushes you back.
- [07:30] <Orea> "Good morning!"
- [07:30] <Jamster> *statue
- [07:30] <Orea> "hey :!"
- [07:30] <Jamster> "IN TRU DER"
- [07:31] <Orea> "Ok fine i geddit you didn't like me walking past you without asking..."
- [07:31] <Jamster> "ST ATE YO UR BUS IN ESS"

- [07:32] <Orea> "I'll let you stretch or something dw :!"
- [07:32] <Jamster> The Statues begin moving their limbs more and more. The movements are getting more fluid. The motions look almost human after a little while.
- [07:33] <Orea> "There :! isn't that better :!"
- [07:33] <Jamster> "ENE MY UNK NOWN TY PE OF CREAT URE. EMPLO YING MAX IMUM STRE NGTH DUE TO UNK NOWN PO WER LEV EL"

- [07:39] <Jamster> "RES PONSE 2: NO"
- [07:39] <Orea> "Good :! good start :!"
- [07:39] <Orea> I pat the statue on the shoulder

- [07:40] <Jamster> "RES PONSE 3: THE AV ERA GE WE IGHT OF A CAT IS 7.9-9.9 LBS"
- [07:40] <Jamster> The Red Statue seems to be preocuppied with his responses, but the Blue Statue does not seem to be bothered.
- [07:40] <Orea> I give the statue a thumbs up as I take a step closer towards the entrance
- [07:41] <Jamster> The Blue Statue twirls his spear in its hand, and points it at you.
- [07:41] <Orea> "What about you saphire :? What are your responses :?"
- [07:41] <Jamster> Sapphire shakes his head slowly.
- [07:41] <Orea> "Oh I know :! You should do a full check with each other to verify how many of your responces are the same :?"
- [07:41] <Jamster> He LUNGES at you with his spear!

- [07:43] <Orea> "Do you have no responses then :?"
- [07:43] <Jamster> He shakes his head slowly.
- [07:43] <Orea> "So you do have responses then :!"
- [07:44] <Jamster> Sapphire appears to sigh, even though he is simply a machine.
- [07:45] <Orea> "Alright then..."
- [07:45] <Orea> "So you can't speak :?"
- [07:46] <Jamster> He shakes his head.
- [07:46] <Jamster> He raises his head and points to his neck.
- [07:46] <Jamster> A significant chunk of his neck appears to be missing!
- [07:46] <Orea> "wow that really sucks :!"
- [07:46] <Orea> "Do you want me to try to fix that?"
- [07:47] <Orea> "I can try maybe :?"
- [07:47] <Jamster> He shakes his head, and points his spear at you again.
- [07:47] <Orea> "What do you want then :?"
- [07:49] <Jamster> "RE SPONSE 26: WE ARE OUT OF MAR BLE SIR"
- [07:49] <Jamster> Ruby stops listing off her responses, and turns towards you.
- [07:49] <Orea> "You want marble :?"
- [07:50] <Jamster> "SAPP HIRE IS UN ABLE TO TA LK, BUT HE IS STILL SM ART. SMAR TER THAN MY SELF."

- [07:58] <Orea> "There is no mystery there :! He has contacted me, which is how I know :!"
- [07:58] <Orea> "If you compute that logic you will easily find that it makes perfect sense :!"
- [08:00] <Jamster> Roll for Persuasion.
- [08:00] <Orea> !roll 1d20
- [08:00] <Tyche[Dice]> Orea rolled : 1d20 --> [ 1d20=14 ]{14}
- [08:02] <Jamster> !roll 1d20-2
- [08:02] <Tyche[Dice]> Jamster rolled : 1d20-2 --> [ 1d20=3 ]{1}
- [08:02] <Jamster> Ruby stops and begins thinking to herself.
- [08:02] <Jamster> It seems that she's computing the logic.
- [08:03] <Orea> I attempt to walk past them again
- [08:05] <Jamster> While you seem to have distracted Ruby, Sapphire has not been decieved.
- [08:05] <Jamster> He's blocking the entrance again, waiting for you to attack him.
- [08:07] <Orea> I attempt to get under or around sapphire in any way I can
- [08:07] <Jamster> Sapphire nudges you with his spear everytime you try to make it around you.
- [08:12] <Orea> I attempt to simply push past him, in full knowledge that he cannot assault me
- [08:13] <Jamster> Roll for Acrobatics
- [08:13] <Orea> !roll 1d20+5
- [08:13] <Tyche[Dice]> Orea rolled : 1d20+5 --> [ 1d20=5 ]{10}
- [08:15] <Jamster> !roll 1d20+3
- [08:15] <Tyche[Dice]> Jamster rolled : 1d20+3 --> [ 1d20=2 ]{5}
- [08:15] <Jamster> You fake Sapphire out by pretending to enter from the right, but you actually go in from the left!
- [08:15] <Jamster> You manage to weazel your way past him, and into the temple.
- [08:17] <Jamster> You look behind you. Sapphire is figeting around, but he isn't coming through the entrance after you for some reason.
- [08:17] <Orea> I look around the temple
- [08:18] <Jamster> You look around the temple. The Temple appears to be just one large room. Several torches light the place up, and large chunks of marble lay about the floor.
- [08:18] <Jamster> You can see something laying down in the top right corner of the temple.
- [08:18] <Jamster> It appears to be... sleeping.
- [08:19] <Orea> I head over to it and sit down beside it
- [08:19] <Orea> "Hey :?"
