Chat Closure

Nothing lasts forever, as the saying goes. It was not an easy decision, but after over two and a half years, the chat has finally come to a closure. Despite encountering an extensive range of obstacles, it has fulfilled its purpose as a chat room for the entire community and its useful life is nearing saturation. Two years ago or so, this chat was a welcome addition to the various community sites and, arguably served as the sole medium for members of the community to interact in real-time; however, as of today, the community has evolved beyond a single chat room and as we got to know one another, there are now countless sites where members of the community can interact with each other. The idea of a unified community chat room was beneficial, but as time has proved, is no longer suitable. It's been a good run while it lasted and we owe our gratitude to all who have participated in good faith.
