  417. The stars twinkle in the clear night sky. It is almost a joy to be travelling this road. Wide and smooth and well maintained, it is a far cry from the rough dirt tracks in less travelled areas. The air has a pleasant feel to it, even a bit of sea air tang, and occasionally you can see seabirds wheeling in the air above. Fellow travellers pass by and your eye can follow them to the south or up Ashtan way northeast. An obsidian eye sigil is here. Skuld, the Eternal Maiden is here, mischief in her eyes. A hole has been dug into the road. Sybilla is here. She wields a hefty shovel in her left hand.
