  2. [19:17] <Radio|GM> -- Session 14 –-
  3. [19:17] <Radio|GM> Sometimes, there’s just nothing to say.
  4. [19:17] <Radio|GM> ---
  5. [19:17] <Radio|GM> Our group has escaped from Trotters Fort undetected. Where do they go now?
  6. [19:17] <Radio|GM> --- Begin Session --
  7. [19:19] * Limuko stopped being a mime awhile ago, giving a breath in relief. "Phew, Limuko thought that he would make a terrible mime." He said as he trots along with the group.
  8. [19:21] * Zemblanity looks around at the party as her disguise fades. "Bleh... Rose, less pink next time, please..."
  9. [19:21] * Chasseuse snickers. "Pink is fine wi
  10. [19:21] <Chasseuse> "wi'z me."
  11. [19:22] * Silk_Rose 's spell lasted 15 minutes -- long enough to get a good distance away from the Fort while moving at a quick pace. She smirks and replies, "I thought you'd like a nice chance to be the sexy one, for a change, Cerise~" She also pats Dumisani's side. "You make a pretty good brahmin, too! You sure you wouldn't want to take up life carrying goods from settlement to settlement?"
  12. [19:24] * Limuko nods. "Indeed, our rhino friend makes a wonderful brahmin."
  13. [19:24] * Zemblanity purses her lips. "I don't do 'sexy'."
  14. [19:26] <Radio|GM> It isn't long before the group, on their travels up their destination, suddenly come across what appears to be a giant brick sitting on the horizon.
  15. [19:27] * Silk_Rose snickers at Zemblanity's response. "You need every chance you can get to loosen up, Zemmy!"
  16. [19:28] * Zemblanity frowns slightly, squinting to get a better view of "the brick". "When all this is over, Rose, maybe. /Maybe/."
  17. [19:28] * Limuko takes notice of the brick sitting, and then looks back towards where they just left, giving a breath of relief. "Phew, Limuko had almost thought we would be caught by bad ponies."
  18. [19:28] * Chasseuse quirks her head, trying to get a good view.
  19. [19:29] <Radio|GM> As the group approaches closer, they find it is not in fact a brick, but a perfectly rectangular building of some sort, seemingly in the middle of nowhere, of deep red brick.
  20. [19:29] * Limuko places a hoof on his chin as he looked at the building. "Hmm, Limuko believes that there may be loot to sell in here." Cap symbols could be seen gleaming from his eyes.
  21. [19:30] * Zemblanity is reminded of the old Fire Stations of her home... It's not a very pleasant reminder. She draws her crossbow.
  22. [19:30] <Zemblanity> "Do you assume that about everything, Limuko?"
  23. [19:30] * Chasseuse draws her sickle, holding its handle tight in her muzzle.
  24. [19:30] * Limuko shrugs. "You'd be surprised at how there would be someponies who would be willing to buy scrap that appears useless."
  25. [19:32] <Radio|GM> As you approach yet closer the only sounds and sights you can detect those of the empty desertlike land, one thing becomes apparent: This structure is enormous!
  26. [19:32] * Limuko a happy grin appeared on Limuko's face. Big buildings mean more loot to sell!
  27. [19:33] * Silk_Rose eyes the building curiously. "It's awfully... rectangular." She follows everypony's leads and draws her energy pistol. "Anypony wouldn't happen to know what's here, would they?"
  28. [19:35] * Zemblanity looks up at size of the structure, brow arching. "I wouldn't..." Is there an entrance?
  29. [19:39] * Limuko smiled even more. "Ahhh! Limuko knows what this is! Mister Dusty showed Limuko on the map that this is a factory!" And factories meant loot to sell!
  30. [19:40] * Silk_Rose may just like the sound of that. "...A factory, huh? What kind of factory?"
  31. [19:40] <Limuko> "..." Limuko shrugs. "Limuko is not sure. He just knows that it is a factory."
  32. [19:41] * Zemblanity 's brow remains arhced. "Wonderful... I'll take point." She says, pulling up her hood and stealthing up, looking for that entrance.
  33. [19:42] <Radio|GM> Zemblanity will find a large steel door entrance in the wall closest to the group. Strangely, the great steel entryway has been blasted off its hinges and lies around the shattered brick below.
  34. [19:42] * Chasseuse follows a distance away so she won't disrupt Zemblanity's sneakings.
  35. [19:42] * Limuko follows as well, mostly since everypony else in the group is far more competent in fighting than him.
  36. [19:44] * Zemblanity examines the doorway, for a moment, and then slips inside.
  37. [19:46] <Radio|GM> Zemblanity's first impression...is a simple foyer, where a few steps will take her to a set of double doors. Try her hoof though she will at those doors, they will prove locked.
  38. [19:47] * Zemblanity looks for another way through. It'd be a massive safety hazard to have only a single entrance and exit like that.
  39. [19:48] * Limuko just stays silent and on the alert, a bit afraid that perhaps there was something scary in there already looting the place.
  40. [19:51] <Radio|GM> Zemblanity finds a similar, albeit intact, entrance on the other side of the building, as well as a number of side entrances.
  41. [19:51] * Zemblanity slips in through that smaller, intact entrance, then. Begin the process of elimination, she supposes.
  42. [19:52] * Silk_Rose follows suit, keeping hidden as they explore the building.
  43. [19:52] * Limuko follows behind, shaking a bit as he kept himself alert.
  44. [19:53] <Radio|GM> The first of three side entrances proves locked, as does the second. The third door is entirely missing, but the entryway is blocked with rubble and all but inaccessible. The fourth side entrance is sealed with a door whose knob has been broken away, but that too is sealed with rubble.
  45. [19:53] * Chasseuse follows, but trails behind.
  46. [19:55] * Zemblanity motions for Limuko with her tail. "Limuko, can you pick locks?" She asks, standing at the first side entrance.
  47. [19:55] <Limuko> "Ehh." Limuko said as he tapped his hooves. "Limuko is not very good with picking locks he is afriad." He said with a nervous smile.
  48. [19:56] * Zemblanity turns to the other ponies. "Any of you?"
  49. [19:57] * Dumisani shrugs her shoulders. "Could try hitting it."
  50. [19:57] * Silk_Rose gives a quiet hum, and asks, "Well, how hard can it be?" After a moment, she adds, "What do you need to pick a lock anyway?"
  51. [19:58] * Zemblanity lids her eyes at Rose. "To get /inside/ perhaps? I'd rather try to be stealthy about entering, Dumisani."
  52. [19:59] <Limuko> "Perhaps there is another route we can take?" Limuko suggests?
  53. [19:59] * Silk_Rose nudges Zemblanity. "Nooo, Zemmy, not /why/, /what/! How does it work?"
  54. [19:59] <Limuko> suggests.*
  55. [20:00] * Zemblanity has apparently been to all of the entrances. "What are you suggesting, Limuko?"
  56. [20:01] * Limuko taps his hoof. "Well, perhaps there may be different ways of entering other than through doors."
  57. [20:02] * Zemblanity has apparently been to all of /entrances/. She looks around at the lack of wings around them. "If you're hiding some wings under that tribal armor, I think we're stuck on the ground level."
  58. [20:03] <Zemblanity> Unless*
  59. [20:04] * Limuko looks at his back. "... Not that Limuko is aware."
  60. [20:04] * Silk_Rose eyes the door for a few more moments before smirking. She nudges her way toward it and takes out her mirror! "Ha! More than a fashion tool!" She slips it in under a door and uses it to look inside! Specifically, she wants to see the lock from the other side.
  61. [20:09] <Radio|GM> Or rather, she tries. The mirror can't seem to fit under the door.
  62. [20:10] * Silk_Rose huffs in annoyance. "Oh come on! It HAS to work! This is the kind of stuff they do in spy movies!"
  63. [20:11] <Dumisani> "Key word there is movie."
  64. [20:12] * Limuko nods in agreement. "Movies are not known to be very realistic. Limuko knows from experience."
  65. [20:12] * Chasseuse chuckles. "It was a good try."
  66. [20:13] * Zemblanity chuckles idly. "You watch a lot of movies, Limuko?" She tries some magic on the lock!
  67. [20:13] <Limuko> "Eh, not much. Limuko could never find many good film projecters in his travles.
  68. [20:23] * Silk_Rose is very disappointed. There's not much else they can do. Except maybe hope somepony would be dumb enough to leave a spare key under a bush or something. She looks around anyway, because you never know with some ponies.
  69. [20:24] <Radio|GM> Funny hoe a pony's intuition can work sometimes. SIlk_Rose kicks over what must have been a doormat a long, long time ago, and beneath it is...a key.
  70. [20:25] * Silk_Rose smirks and holds it up in her magic. "Well! Some ponies never learn." She brings it over and slips the key into the lock!
  71. [20:25] <Limuko> "Huh, it seems the text in the sky is being nice to us." Limuko said.
  72. [20:26] <Radio|GM> The door opens with little difficulty and opens to reveal a darkened interior, the ground below them a mesh grate, the walls lined with various pipes and guages long broken.
  73. [20:27] * Zemblanity isn't sure which she's more astounded by, Limuko preaching about text in the sky, or Rose's dumb luck. With a shake of her head, she slips inside. "Stack up."
  74. [20:28] * Limuko gulps. Crouching down to get into a sneaking position ... because that's apparently what you do when sneaking.
  75. [20:29] * Zemblanity is so good at stealthing, she doesn't need to crouch. Simply acting like shadows is good enough.
  76. [20:30] * Silk_Rose is the sneakiest of all. She keeps an eye out for anything that looks worth taking as they explore the interior.
  77. [20:33] * Chasseuse follows behind.
  78. [18:38] <~Radio|GM> Into the factory the group has gone, past the side entrance onto a pathway, the floor beneath them made of metal grating, rusted pipes and valves lining the walls.
  79. [18:40] * Limuko tries his best to remain as small and unnoticable throughout coming into the factory. The idea of random loot to sell (at prices he likes) gave him motivation to not run away like the wind out of the place. Though, he was beginning to feel a bit claustrophobic ... especially with all the mares around him right now.
  80. [18:42] * Silk_Rose is definitely a little excited. This place must be /brimming/ with loot! Locked up factory, left for who knows how long...
  81. [18:42] * Chasseuse keeps her sickle ready, following her companions.
  82. [18:43] * Zemblanity has her crossbow ready, on point as she slinks further and further into the factory's depths. She looks at the pipes, seeing if she can follow them to some sort of end.
  83. [18:50] <~Radio|GM> As the group travels onwards, there is a sudden loud groaning of metal from the pipes lining the walls. From the left, a broken pipe suddenly issues a short burst of painfully hot steam, jetting strait against Chasseuse's side. Ouch!
  84. [18:51] <~Radio|GM> *straight
  85. [18:52] * Chasseuse yelps, leaping forward to escape the stinging steam. She quickly reorients herself to discover the attacker... and it receives a glare.
  86. [18:52] <~Radio|GM> Chasseuse faces a rusty, broken, leaking pipe.
  87. [18:52] * Zemblanity whirls around to fire on their attacker, until she sees it's just a pipe. With a frown, she trots over to Chasseuse, examining the injury. "Are you all right? Is it burned?"
  88. [18:53] * Limuko nearly panics, almost making a run for it as he heard the hot steam coming from the pipe. But eventually calms down when he realizes his life isn't endangered, giving a sigh of relief. "Are you alright Miss Chasseuse?"
  89. [18:53] * Chasseuse nods with a sigh. "It stings a little, but is no'zing to be worried about."
  90. [18:54] * Zemblanity nods, patting her on the shoulder. "Keep your heads down and eyes peeled... Don't want any of that hitting any of you in the face." She's still seeing if these pipes will lead her to a boiler room, of some sort. "It's also troubling... There's no way any of this machinery should be running... Right?"
  91. [18:55] * Silk_Rose jumps when Chasseuse yelps, turning to look and see what happened. She snickers only a little bit. "Keep an eye on where you're going, there's more in a factory that can hurt you worse."
  92. [18:56] <~Radio|GM> The pipes lead onwards down the hallway. A solitary lightbulb above flickers, strangely still alit even after all this time. At the end is a single doorway.
  93. [18:56] * Limuko nods, keeping himself low on the ground as he continued to be a sneaky zebra. His hormones were somewhat getting to his mind, but right now his thoughts on survivial override his shyness towards mares. He looked around, looking around for anything that may be a threat.
  94. [18:57] * Chasseuse nods, making sure to continue along with pipes in mind...
  95. [18:58] * Zemblanity slinks up to the doorway and examines it for traps, or any sort of locks.
  96. [18:58] * Silk_Rose keeps behind Zemblanity, looking around for anything worth scavenging as they go!
  97. [18:59] <~Radio|GM> On either side of the door are also two passageways. Signs shaped like yellow arrows helpfully inform that one passageway leads to the generator room, and that the other leads to "Chemical Storage".
  98. [18:59] <~Radio|GM> Zemblanity sees absolutely nothing. The door seems innocuous enough.
  99. [19:00] * Zemblanity raises a brow. "Rose and I will check out the storeroom... You two see what's going on in the generator area. Come find us if you see something but /do not/ engage anything hostile.
  100. [19:00] <Zemblanity> "
  101. [19:01] <~Radio|GM> Limuko, likewise, sees nothing of note, save for the stale, cold air and the flickering light.
  102. [19:01] * Limuko takes notice of the sign, nervously tapping his hooves together. "Umm ... Limuko is starting to think that perhaps it is not very safe for us with "Chemical Storage" and what not. Perhaps we could ... errr ..." He then blinks when he hears Zemblanity's idea. "That is a good idea! Generator sounds less threatening."
  103. [19:01] * Silk_Rose gives Zemblanity a pout. "I was gonna say we should check out the generator! There might be something there worth salvaging for my guns! Batteries are always needed, you know."
  104. [19:02] <~Radio|GM> With another groaning of metal and a deep hiss, another burst of steam issues from one of the pipes directly ahead of the group.
  105. [19:03] * Zemblanity sighs. "Fine then, you can go with Limuko. Ms. Chasseuse, would you?" She says, ducking her head as the pipes burst. "And let's be quick about this!" She says, dashing off down the hall.
  106. [19:03] * Chasseuse nods, trotting down the passageway leading to the chemical room after Zemblanity.
  107. [19:04] * Limuko nods, following along side Silk_Rose, though he's more looking at her hooves in an attempt to avoid gazing at her flank.
  108. [19:05] * Silk_Rose smirks and grabs Limuko around the shoulders with a foreleg and tugs him closer. "Looks like it's us together! Won't it be fun?" She keeps it up for a moment or so before she lets him go and starts trotting down the generator hallway.
  109. [19:05] * Zemblanity keeps that crossbow at the ready as she approaches. She drops into a more stealthy stance.
  110. [19:06] <~Radio|GM> More flickering lights along the ceiling shine down upon the two groups headed in both directions. It isn't long before Limuko and Silk_Rose find their way into a room dominated by an enormous steel machine of some sort, a low rumbling sounding from within. On the far end are a number of lockers lined against the wall. To the corner lies a single desk atop which various materials are scattered.
  111. [19:07] * Limuko was instantly shocked at Silk_Rose grabbing him, his tail rising upward. A blush appeared on his surprised face, but he tries to appear normal, but speaks nervoulsy. "U-u-uh of course! Limuko is willing to travel with Rose Mare to find loot to sell."
  112. [19:07] * Chasseuse is not stealthy! She trottrots with her sickle.
  113. [19:07] <~Radio|GM> Zemblanity and Chasseuse continue on and find...barrels. Enormous quanities of large colored barrels, some colored blue and some colored black. In the distant left hand corner is a small pile of yellow barrels.
  114. [19:07] * Zemblanity closely inspects a blue barrel. Were they labelled?
  115. [19:07] * Limuko gives a sigh of relief as he was let go. As he followed did he look around the place. He takes notice of the desk, trotting towards it.
  116. [19:07] * Chasseuse frowns, looking about the room for something less... chemical.
  117. [19:08] * Silk_Rose gets looking through the stuff on the table first. "Hey, make sure you keep an eye out especially for batteries, alright? And anything else that looks worth taking."
  118. [19:09] <Limuko> "Do not worry. Limuko never misses chance to take anything that is useful." He said as he allowed Silk_Rose to look through the table instead, going over to the lockers instead.
  119. [19:09] <~Radio|GM> Chasseuse sees what appears to be a safe along the far corner opposite the yellow barrels. Zemblanity finds the contents of the blue barrels contain elemental iodine.
  120. [19:10] * Chasseuse trots over to the safe, checking if it's locked.
  121. [19:10] * Zemblanity frowns a little, going over to examine the contents of the black containers, next, then the yellow ones.
  122. [19:11] <~Radio|GM> Zemblanity finds that the black containers seem to contain a number of chemicals ranging from benzene to styrene, none of them particularly benign. Zemblanity needs only edge a bit closer to the yellow barrels to notice that they are stamped with the trefoil symbol indicating radioactive contents.
  123. [19:12] * Zemblanity blinks a little at the barrels. "What the... Chass... These barrels are Radioactive... Best get what we can and hurry out of here."
  124. [19:15] <~Radio|GM> Searching the table in the generator room yields two packs of cigarettes, a screwdriver, and three sets of scrap electronics.
  125. [19:16] <Limuko> "Soooo ... Limuko does not really know much about you Rose Mare." He said as he continued to search through the lockers, seeing if there was anything useful in them.
  126. [19:18] <~Radio|GM> Limuko finds, in each locker, a single gas mask for a total of three. In the center one, he also finds a rare treat - two unpoened, glowing bottles of Sparkle~Cola RAD.
  127. [19:18] <~Radio|GM> Chassesue finds that the safe, alas, is indeed locked.
  128. [19:18] * Silk_Rose stashes all of it in her saddlebags. Not much so far... but there could always be a big stash still to be found! "Not much to tell, little Limuko! Me and Zemmy have been traveling together for absolutely ages!"
  129. [19:20] * Chasseuse huffs, looking over to Zemblanity. "We 'ave no way to open zis safe, do we?"
  130. [19:21] * Limuko licks his lips at the Sparkle~Cola RAD bottles. He takes that along with the three gas masks, they could come in handy. "Ah, Limuko sees now. Well as for this zebra he has been mostly traveling alone in the Wasteland for quite a time. He came to Coltifornia seeking fortune, caps, and to live better life than the one he lived in other parts of Wasteland."
  131. [19:22] * Limuko said to Silk_Rose.
  132. [19:22] <~Radio|GM> Zemblanity shakes her head at Chasseuse. "Not yet. But we best get out soon, before we're exposed to too much radiation." She gestures at the yellow barrels.
  133. [19:23] * Silk_Rose smirks. "Fortune and caps, huh? Well, you should stick with us for good, then! We're always looking for something fun and profitable to get our hooves into, you know?"
  134. [19:25] * Chasseuse nods, trotting towards the exit. "Zen perhaps we may come back to zem later."
  135. [19:26] * Limuko claps his hooves together as he replied to Silk_Rose. It should be noted that he wasn't even looking at her. "Exactly what Limuko needs. Companions to assist in his aid for fortune! And once Limuko has made enough caps will he live out rest of life without worry of raiders, or mutant monsters, or dangerous places, or anything dangerous to Limuko."
  136. [19:26] <~Radio|GM> Zemblanity nods, trotting closely alongside Chasseuse.
  137. [19:26] * Chasseuse continues down the generator hallway.
  138. [19:29] <~Radio|GM> Chasseuse and Zemblanity find themelves standing at the entrance to the generator room, where Limuko and Silk_Rose can see them. Zemblanity speaks. "Have you discovered anything?"
  139. [19:29] * Silk_Rose gives the room another examination, especially looking for things like batteries, or useful loot in general. "Not too much... Nothing I was really hoping for, at least."
  140. [19:29] * Limuko turns to Zemblanity ... well, speaks to her at least. "Indeed! Limuko has found three gas masks if any of you mares are in need of them."
  141. [19:31] <~Radio|GM> Silk_Rose finds nothing further here.
  142. [19:35] * Silk_Rose is very disappointed. "Some generator room this was!" She turns to Zemmy and Chasseuse. "What about you? You find some awesome stuff?"
  143. [19:37] * Chasseuse nods her head at Zemblanity. "She found a few trinkets... and z'ere was a safe in ze room as well." Chasseuse sighs. "Locked, of course."
  144. [19:39] * Limuko sighes as well. "Locked? Sigh, if only Limuko knew how to lockpick he would happily open safe for you."
  145. [19:41] <~Radio|GM> That door looks awfully lonely.
  146. [19:43] * Silk_Rose frowns. "Ugh. Figures. Just once can't we have a place with ponies considerate enough to leave their valuables unlocked!?"
  147. [19:43] * Limuko looks up to the text in the sky. He hadn't noticed that door til now. But he was nervous, as there could be anything behind it that could be threatening. "Hmm ... Limuko thinks that door looks lonely." He says as he points to the door. "Perhaps you could find the battery you need?"
  148. [19:47] * Silk_Rose glances over and smirks. "Good thinking, Limuko! Come on, let's check it out." She heads on over to open the door and check inside.
  149. [19:47] <Limuko> Of course, ladies first in Limuko's mind as he waits for everypony else to go through the door first.
  150. [19:48] * Chasseuse follows behind Silk_Rose.
  151. [19:49] <~Radio|GM> The door opens cleanly, without any fuss, to reveal a series of catwalks leading out about 20 hooves above what seem to be large chemical vats. Pipes and valves line the walls here too, extending around the windows through which the sun shines into the darkened recesses of the main factory.
  152. [19:49] <~Radio|GM> Many of the vats are exposed, filled to the brim with a strange, faintly glowing violet liquid.
  153. [19:50] * Limuko looked wide eyed at the vats. "Umm ... Limuko thinks he will stay behind." He said with a nervous smile.
  154. [19:51] * Silk_Rose does not like the look of that at all. "Uhhh. I don't see any batteries. Nope, none at all!" She gives a sheepish sort of grin. "I'm satisfied with this inspection, what about you guys?"
  155. [19:51] * Limuko rapidly nods to Silk_Rose.
  156. [19:52] <~Radio|GM> The catwalk creaks perilously beneath your hooves. On the other side, you can see a number of doorways leading into various other parts of the factory.
  157. [19:53] * Silk_Rose glances around after just a moment's thought, from the doorway, looking for a not-dangerous-to-get-to stairway that will get them safely to the factory floor.
  158. [19:55] * Chasseuse frowns. "We should turn back... it is not wor'z ze risk."
  159. [19:55] * Silk_Rose wasn't even entertaining the idea of walking out over those vats of Celestia-knows-what!
  160. [20:00] <~Radio|GM> Silk_Rose and Silk_Rose alone spots what appears to be a lift off to the left at the end of the catwalk. The construction seems sturdy enough, and will allow them to walk along the factory floor to the rooms on the other side.
  161. [20:04] <~Radio|GM> To clarify, the catwalk leading to the lift is not above any of the vats. It lines the perimeter of the factory.
  162. [20:07] * Silk_Rose smirks and points off to the left to show the others. "There! You see it? We can get down from there. Come on! Just take it slow, and watch your step." She very carefully heads off toward the lift, beckoning the others to follow!
  163. [20:07] * Limuko sighes in relief upon seeing a much more safer passage. "Ah, Limuko was worried that he wouldn't be able to find more stuff to find here if it had ended here."
  164. [20:07] * Chasseuse nods, carefully following Silk_Rose!
  165. [20:12] <~Radio|GM> The catwalk creaks with every step, but they reach the lift with little problems. A lever lies inside that will take them to the floor.
  166. [20:13] * Silk_Rose steps inside and makes space for the others to join her. Only once everypony is settled does she pull the lever. "Going down!"
  167. [20:53] <~Radio|GM> The lift makes a screechingly loud metallic creak as it slowly lowers itself to the floor. It comes to a halt, the gates opening, revealing the factry floor and the vats of purple liquid.
  168. [20:55] * Limuko almost squealed as he heard the screeching creak, but then relaxes a bit ... and then gulps at the vats of purple liquid.
  169. [20:56] * Silk_Rose motions for the others to follow as she steps out of the lift, looking around for anything worthwhile down here.
  170. [20:57] * Limuko slowly follows Silk_Rose and prays that his new friends would protect him against anything dangerous. He does take a look around to see if there's anything of value to take.
  171. [20:58] <~Radio|GM> Nothing, save for the occasional bubbling sound from the vats.
  172. [20:59] <Limuko> "Limuko is not sure what is purpose of large vats of dangerous liquids was supposed to be for."
  173. [21:00] * Silk_Rose frowns. "I don't know if I want to find out." She quickly makes her way across the factory floor toward the rooms on the other side.
  174. [21:00] * Chasseuse continues to follow Silk.
  175. [21:00] * Limuko does as well!
  176. [21:01] <~Radio|GM> A loud, sudden splashing noise emerges from one of the vats in the factory floor.
  177. [21:03] * Limuko becomes startled by the noise, instantly turning to it's source. Please let it not be some mutant abomination that's coming out of that vat!!!
  178. [21:05] * Silk_Rose does NOT like the sound of that. "Ponies? We should keep moving!" The sooner they get away from these vats, the better!
  179. [21:06] <Limuko> "Agreed!" Limuko nearly yelled as he swiftly follows Silk_Rose.
  180. [21:08] <~Radio|GM> Out of the closest vat, something roughly the size of a pony emerges...some sort of rodentlike creature with sharp claws and fangs the size of combat knives. What fur it must have had is gone, replaced by eerily glowing skin the same color as the liquid in the vat. The purple skin is transparent, revealing the still-wriggling, blackened organs and skeleton beneath wrapped in glowing flesh. Three more soon follow from the other vats, all staring hungrily at the group.
  181. [21:30] * Limuko had to curse at the text in the sky for bringing mutated abominations when his player typed that he hoped it wasn't the case! But right now, he did what any conzebra like him would do - He ran screaming for his life, towards the offices, where he desperatly looked for a hiding spot.
  182. [21:32] * Zemblanity turns her head, confusion spreading across her face. "Limuko?! Where the hell are you going?"
  183. [21:32] <Limuko> "Running for Limuko's life!"
  184. [21:37] <~Radio|GM> The rodents growl, scratching at the ground, leaving puddles of the nasty purple fluid where they trod.
  185. [21:38] * Zemblanity looks between him and the rats, letting out a soft breath. "We'll talk later..." She mutters, turning her crossbow on these mutants. She takes aim at the first one to crawl out of the vent and fires thrice.
  186. [21:42] <~Radio|GM> The rat hisses, screeching in pain as the bolts pierce its glowing flesh. One of the glowing things lunges at Zemblanity to rake twice at her flesh with razor-sharp claws.
  187. [21:43] <~Radio|GM> Fortunately, the rat must be disoriented from being pickled in that vat for so long, its first attack missing wide and the second landing upon its wounded comrade, who screeches loudly.
  188. [21:51] * Chasseuse frowns at the rat as it attacks Zemblanity and charges in! As she reaches Zemblanity's side, she swings her head with purpose, sickle slashing at the rat's flesh.
  189. [21:53] * Zemblanity is sure to duck out of Chasseuse's way!
  190. [21:54] <~Radio|GM> The rat screeches as the slashes of Chasseuse's sickle tear it a new one, growling and gnashing its fangs at her.
  191. [21:58] * Silk_Rose quickly draws her energy pistol in her telekinesis, and joins in the fray! She fires three shots at the rat that Zemblanity first shot at, hoping to take it out before it decides to join in the fight.
  192. [22:04] <~Radio|GM> Silk_Rose's first two shots go wide, but the third shot lands squarely on the strange rodent as it simply disintegrates into glowing powder.
  193. [22:05] * Limuko is currently hiding someplace in the offices, preferably under a desk if he could.
  194. [22:06] * Silk_Rose smirks. "Ha! Take that!" She makes a show of taking a breath and blowing at the end of her pistol.
  195. [22:07] * Zemblanity smirks a little. "Nice shot, Rose... Think you can do it again?"
  196. [22:07] <~Radio|GM> The other three rodents in sight chitter viciously as their companion falls. The wounded one snarls, clicking its teeth, its body glowing brighter and brighter as its wounds disappear, body unscathed once again. As one, they snarl at once as two swipe viciously at Zemblanity, as the third launches its own swipes against Chasseuse. Suddenly, with a loud chattering and the sound of clicking teeth, Silk-Rose is blindsided by a fift
  197. [22:08] <~Radio|GM> teeth, Silk-Rose is blindsided by a fifth rodent who slashes viciously as well.
  198. [22:12] <~Radio|GM> Zemblanity feels the sting of vicious swipes against her coat, as does Chasseuse, but poor Silk_Rose gets a particularly deep, painful cut to her side. Ouch!
  199. [22:14] <~Radio|GM> Nix that. Silk_Rose doesn't get a cut that deep.
  200. [22:19] * Silk_Rose gives a pained shout in surprise, not expecting to be ambushed! "Ow! Hey! Sorry, but I don't do the whole pain and blood thing!" For all her objection, she's quite roughed up.
  201. [22:21] <~Radio|GM> Limuko finds himself under a desk in the closest office.
  202. [22:21] * Limuko is whimpering as he hid under the desk, hyperventilating.
  203. [22:25] * Zemblanity grunts in pain, swivelling back from her attacker to post up by Silk_Rose. Her horn lights, and a luminous teal glow surrounds Chasseuse, quickening her further attacks!
  204. [22:26] * Zemblanity then turns her crossbow on Silk_Rose's attacker.
  205. [22:28] <~Radio|GM> The rodent growls in pain, flashing its translucent fangs at Zemblanity. The one closes to Zemblanity unleashes its swipes upon her once again.
  206. [22:28] <~Radio|GM> Both hits land painfully upon Zemblanity.
  207. [22:29] * Zemblanity growls in pain. "Grah!"
  208. [22:42] * Chasseuse growls, trying to ignore the pain from the many slashes. She turns her sickle to the nearest rat, which had just attacked her, and swipes two times.
  209. [22:43] <~Radio|GM> The rat hisses as Chasseuse's fury manages to land once squarely across its chest, purple fluid issuing from the wound.
  210. [22:43] * Chasseuse continues to swing, seeing as it's not dead!
  211. [22:45] <~Radio|GM> The rat reels, on its last legs, close to death.
  212. [22:48] * Silk_Rose is quite a bit hurt, so she prepares a healing spell, and casts it on herself. The effort is starting to make her feel pretty bad, and she's starting to get tired from overuse of her magic. Once she finishes the spell, she turns on the rat that Zemblanity just attacked, and fires at it two times!
  213. [22:55] <~Radio|GM> The rat falls, wobbling on its back legs for a moment before collapsing, dead. The three remaining rats growl as one, the most wounded one glowing brightly to heal itself, as they all launch upon different targets! Two latch upon Chasseuse, the closest pony, to claw at her coat, the third upon Zemblanity.
  214. [23:03] <~Radio|GM> Every single hit lands as a painful slash.
  215. [23:03] * Zemblanity cries out in pain, clutching her wounds. She's losing blood quickly...
  216. [23:06] <~Radio|GM> Limuko, in the meantime, might find it worthwhile to explore the room he is hiding in. He will find that a terminal sits atop the desk he's hiding under, as well as a footlocker and several filing cabinets.
  217. [23:07] * Zemblanity coughs up a little blood before levitating out a healing potion and downing it quickly. "Luna... Dammit... Limuko..." She sputters, firing off the last of her crossbow bolts at her attacker.
  218. [23:10] <~Radio|GM> Neither bolt hits.
  219. [23:11] <~Radio|GM> Strangely, the rodents seem to shitter nervously amongst themselves. Two appear to be losing their shape, less a rodent than a misshapen clay figure meant to look like a rodent.
  220. [23:12] * Limuko however was too shooken up to really feel like exploring for the moment.
  221. [23:13] * Chasseuse huffs. This is going no where! She takes out her anger on the two rats in front of her, delivering two blows to each.
  222. [23:17] <~Radio|GM> Chasseuse seems to take it somewhere where the battle seemed to be losing steam. With each landing stroke, she fells both rats at once, where they simply seem to disintegrate into piles of purple goo and blackened viscera at her feet.
  223. [23:20] * Silk_Rose gives the final rat a glare, aiming her pistol right at it and firing until it splats!
  224. [23:22] <~Radio|GM> Silk_Rose's shots all scorch the factory floor, but none hit the rodent.
  225. [23:23] <~Radio|GM> In spite of the lost shots, the rat lets out a loud screeching noise as its shapes deforms from rodent to vaguely rodent-shaped blob, before it simply melts in a puddle upon the ground like its companions.
  226. [23:24] * Zemblanity stumbles away from the blobs, dragging Chasseuse and Silk_Rose back to the lift with her. "Limuko! Get your flank down here, now!" She shouts.
  227. [23:25] * Silk_Rose gives a relieved sigh, and immediately turns to look Zemblanity over. "You're hurt! Do you need help now? I don't know how much magic I've got left in me..."
  228. [23:25] * Zemblanity shakes her head. "Not now, Rose. You've spent enough today... If we can get to a relatively safe place, I'll patch everypony up myself."
  229. [23:25] * Limuko is just a frightened heap right now. His forehooves covering the back of his head.
  230. [23:26] * Zemblanity keeps calling for Limuko. "Luna dammit, Zebra! We are /LEAVING/!"
  231. [23:27] * Limuko eventually gets up, finally having the courage to look around out of the office. "... I-i-is the fighting over?" He said with his head low, feeling sick.
  232. [23:27] * Zemblanity slumps down in the lift. "N-No thanks to you..." She groans, floating out a fresh roll of bandages.
  233. [23:28] * Silk_Rose gives Zemblanity a slow nod. If Zemmy says she doesn't need help, then she trusts that she can handle herself. She gives Limuko a scowl. "What happened to you!? We were pretty badly hurt!"
  234. [23:30] * Zemblanity coils it around the most offending of her injuries, grunting from the exertion. She tends to Chasseuse's wounds next.
  235. [23:30] <Limuko> "L-l-l ..." Limuko was at a lost of words, his eyes widening as he saw his friends in terrible condition. He appeared to stare off for a moment before reality kicked back in the conzebra, who shook his head. "... Limuko ... isn't ... can't ..." He's completely doesn't know how to respond.
  236. [23:31] * Zemblanity looks down at the ground, tying her headwrap around a cut in her forehoof. "Just... get... in... the lift..."
  237. [23:32] * Limuko just nods, still appearing very shaken as he trots toward the lift.
  238. [23:34] * Silk_Rose frowns. "Zemmy... shouldn't we at least take a quick look around now? At the least we know we can run and let them... uh, fall apart? If there are any more, that is..."
  239. [23:35] * Zemblanity looks up at Rose, wiping some blood from the corner of her mouth. "I'm not going anywhere..."
  240. [23:37] * Silk_Rose gives a little sigh. "We kinda need to find /something/ to sell... or we won't even have enough to patch ourselves up." She gives a weak little smile. "I mean, my looks can't get us a free clinic treatment /all/ the time."
  241. [23:38] * Zemblanity frowns as a little. "Just... go... I'll stay here and... bleed some more."
  242. [23:41] * Silk_Rose frowns at Zemblanity, and gives her a stern look. She calls up her magic and touches her horn to her as she casts her healing spell. She feels very dizzy and drained afterward, but she can't stand to see Zemmy hurting. "That..." She pauses and shakes her head a bit to clear away some of the fuzzyness. "That should hold you over. No more bleeding. Okay?" She steadies herself using Zemblanity and trots out to have a quick look around.
  243. [23:42] * Limuko just stands silent, looking down on the floor as he breathes through his mouth.
  244. [23:43] * Zemblanity grunts a little, rising after Rose, slinging the mare's leg over her shoulder to walk. "You're in no condition to walk unassisted..."
  245. [23:45] * Silk_Rose smiles and leans against Zemblanity for support. "You're a good friend, Zemmy. But if we see anything else mean looking, we run, okay?"
  246. [23:45] * Zemblanity has a wry smile on her face. "Reminds me of that time in Salt Lick Lake... with those cacti?"
  247. [23:48] * Silk_Rose gives Zemblanity a funny look. "I don't... think I remember that one?" She pauses for a moment before adding, "Unless you mean that one with the mare and her harem? What was her name..." She smirks. "I was pretty out of it after I got her to share."
  248. [23:49] * Zemblanity snorts a little. "Salt Lick Lake... When /you/ had too much tequila and those banditos tied use both to cactuses... You were so hungover..." She chuckles.
  249. [23:50] <~Radio|GM> The offices above await.
  250. [23:52] * Silk_Rose has realization dawn! "Ohhhhh. That uh..." She winces just at the thought. "That wasn't fun. I had spines in my butt for a week..." She keeps on going toward the offices, with Zemblanity's help.
  251. [23:53] * Zemblanity grins the whole way. "That's... That's kind of how I feel right now." She mutters, finally limping into the offices.
  252. [23:53] * Limuko appeared to have calmed down even more, but doesn't move from the lift he was standing on. His wanderlust for loot now dead after what happened.
  253. [23:59] <~Radio|GM> THe first office they enter, the one in which Limuko had taken hiding, is a simple one. A single footlocker lies in the back, a terminal atop the desk. There are three filing cabinets beside the desk, and two drawers on the desk itself.
  254. [00:00] * Zemblanity heads for the footlocker. "Think you can work that terminal, Rose?"
  255. [00:01] * Silk_Rose scrunches her nose a bit. "Uh... not unless they left the password sitting out. I know my magic guns... not really other tech." She takes a quick look anyway, to see if it's accessible.
  256. [00:02] * Zemblanity scrunches too. "Hey... You're better than me... I had trouble with a cash register..."
  257. [00:11] <~Radio|GM> Silk_Rose finds the terminal refreshingly unlocked! What secrets does it hold...?
