  1. CSGO Economy:
  2. Guns:
  3. Rifles, Pistols and the P90 always give a $300 kill reward. SMGs gain you $600 and Shotguns give you $900. The awp gives you $100. This means that it's best to buy shotguns and submachine guns against eco opponents, because you kill them easily and gain extra money. This also means that once you buy an awp, it's important not to lose it, because you won't gain much money from killing people with it.
  4.
  5. Winning rounds gets you $3250, or $3500 if the bomb you planted explodes/you defuse the bomb. Losing the round first gains you $1400, then $1900, then $2400, then $2900, then $3400. This changes how you play the game. If you have lost 5 rounds in a row, there is no point in going eco, as you will get $3400 next round, so you can buy a Galil/Famas + armour. Knowing when to eco is difficult, but in general, it's best to eco when your team has no money, and you're not going to get more than $1900 next round. The goal is to always have a team with at least 2 or 3 AK/M4s and armour.
  6.
  7. The game starts with the pistol round, and this decides how you should play for the rest of the next 15 rounds. There are two outcomes: You win the pistol round or you lose the pistol round. If you win the pistol round, you gain $3400 and you are expected to win the second round. If you lose the pistol round you gain $1400 and you are expected to lose the second round.
  8.
  9. Round 2
  10. Scenario 1: You win the pistol round. You now have $3250, and any money you didn't spend last round. The smart thing to do now is to buy armour+a helmet and a cheap weapon that deals high damage to targets with no armour, because your should be spending no money and so will only have a pistol+no armour. It isn't wise to buy an AK-47 or M4, because if you die and you opponent takes the gun, they might win the round, and they now have taken $2700-3100 from your team.
  11.
  12. Scenario 2: You lose the pistol round. Depending on how much money you spent, you will now have $1400 and any money left over. The wise thing to do now is to eco. You spend no money and try to get as many kills as you can. Remember, you are EXPECTING to lose this round. If you are T, the important thing to do is try and get the bomb planted, because this will give you extra money for the next round.
  13.
  14. Round 3
  15. Scenario 1: You won the first and second rounds. If your opponent didn't plant a bomb or get many kills, they will probably eco again. It's best not to buy if this is the case. If you opponent went eco round 2 and got a bomb plant or a lot of kills, it's possible they will buy guns. In that case, you will want to buy as well, because you don't want to use weapons which do low armour damage against an armoured opponent. If they haven't got any bomb plant or kills, it's best to keep using any SMGs or cheap weapons you already bought.
  16.
  17. Scenario 2: You lost the first round and ecod the second round. You should now have $1400+the $1900 you gained from losing the second round, meaning you now have $3300. Now you have three options. If you were terrorists and you planted the bomb, you will have an extra $300, bringing your total to $3600. This means you could buy armour+helmet and a rifle + flashbang/smoke. If you want to save again, you can eco round 3 to have enough money for an awp/full ak/m4 buy in round 4. Or, uncommonly, you can decide to "forced buy" or "surprise buy". In this scenario, you buy armour+helmet and weapons such as the p250, grenades, ump45, mag7 and general high armour damage weapons to quickly kill your opponent. You will need to be smart for this to work, however, if it does, the enemy is greatly punished and their economy gets much worse.
