- In the beginning, there was something.
- Nothing comes from nothing.
- Something from something.
- In the beginning there was energy. Deep, powerful, primal energy. Energy so seemingly endless it could be described as "infinite". But that was not true.
- This energy condensed and melded, into a single spot, creating an egg. Arceus hatched from this egg, each shard of his shell representing an element he created. The further he cracked his shell, the further the energies divided. Arceus took each piece of shell and brought it within himself. These became his plates from which all elements originate from.
- Then, however, there was no Arceus, there was no universe, for then they were one and the same.
- Arceus looked and saw nothing, for he was everything, and longed for one thing. Something beyond himself, for he saw comfort in things that were not himself.
- Thus Arceus birthed two sons, Time and Space, or Dialga and Palkia, respectively. They, however, did not come from nothing. Nothing comes from nothing. They were born from Arceus's body and Arceus's mind. They were a part of him.
- And set his sons to create, for he had to rest.
- Once Arceus had awoken, however, he saw nothing, only his sons. Arceus, at that moment, could have struck down both of them in one blow, but he did not, for to strike his sons would be to strike his own body.
- Arceus discovered that everything they made merely fell into entropy, back into the nothingness. There was no balance. For there to be a place with time and space, there had to be one of no time and no space. So Arceus birthed a third son, taking more from himself. This son was one of distortion, one of contrary, one of the reverse. This son was Giratina.
- With Giratina, came birth to a world beyond sight, the Reverse World. Then came the birth of Time and Space.
- Arceus gazed upon this new world, proud of what he had created, but he soon found it cold, dark, and lifeless. He, along with his eldest son, Palkia, set out to fill this new "universe" with something. But nothing comes from nothing. Something only comes from something. Taking more from Arceus's own body they filled the heavens with countless stars and the forming planets.
- But while the stars were very beautiful and the planet's orbit very extrinsic, it did not fill Arceus's desire. No planet itself was beautiful. No rock with any life. So Arceus found a Planet. This planet, named "Earth" was also cold, dark, and lifeless, like the universe before. So Arceus birthed three more sons. One to raise great oceans to supply life, Kyogre. One to expand great lands for life to live upon, Groudon. And a final one to guard the great skies and keep the other two in balance, Rayquaza.
- From these three came a beautiful place, filled with deep oceans, maze like canyons, and endless skies; But from it was no life.
- Arceus looked upon the world in anger. He moved to throw the world into the very star is orbited, but he stopped. For to throw the earth into the sun would be to throw himself in, for the earth was a part of him.
- He moved to birth one more child, this time a daughter. Taking more from his mind than his body, he created Mew.
- Though smaller and weaker than her brothers, Mew was infinitely more creative. She saw the world in ways that the others could only dream of, and in ways that Arceus himself could no longer see, for to create a being with infinite imagination, one must lose their infinite imagination.
- Mew looked upon the world and painted the empty lines she saw. The oceans flooded with fish, the lands with great creatures of the earth, and the skies with birds of a great wingspans. She named these creatures "Pokemon".
- Each Pokemon held energy. This energy coming back to each shard of shell that Arceus held. There were 18 energies created with the birth of Arceus, and each Pokemon contained part of it. However, while the shards became elements all Pokemon are typed by, the original Primal Energy still existed. It existed in all of Arceus's creations, and it now lived in each and every Pokemon that Mew created. This energy was "Potentia" or "Potential". It was the energy of "Mega Evolution".
