Hi again,


I've put this online (on a trial/testing site)  to just show you what's  happening.

I've incorporated all of your suggestions (thank you) - but still no show in activity.

As i indicated a more complete solution is available to me with the truly excellent bp bookmarklet (see below********).

Now this appears complicated  but really its not.



Its a multi-network setup. BuddyPress is active on some networks
( it is just a test/trial/experiment/hobby/  and a bit slow as there is an absolute huge amount of stuff to be on shared hosting so is quite slow)

Each network is separate though users (who visit) are shared.

Each user selects a home place (network) on registration. essentially their home network




Now to the matter at hand.

Go to http://news.isourplace.org

login at the top admin bar.

 username: anne      password: genk!999

 (anne's home place is ballynagran - at http://ballynagran.isourplace.org)



Now in news.isourplace.org  hover over a Digg tooltip (remember its title)     and click the ruby
(i've only done this for text item tootips)

Home Place will come up — click it

A page will come up and eventually a message    Shared successfully to your Home Place with tags: rl-News

To confirm go to http://ballynagran.isourplace.org/all-our-news/  and - somewhere down the page- you will see that your "post" has come in.

click it and there is your post transferred from the news site.

now

go to http://ballynagran.isourplace.org/activity    — your post is not there.

now go down to the last item in the sidebar  in a ballynagran page

drag the icon into your bookmarks bar

go anywhere on the web  and click that icon

and just fill in - if desired add text, add an image from the link or from your computer and post

Now thats  a plugin!!!!!!!!
