To our heroes, though the Equestrian Wasteland has been known to be brutal throughout most of their lives, many of them, regardless of their disposition for it, were quite familiar with it, always knowing what kind of threats they may face eventually and how they could survive for the next day.
  4. [3/5/2014 6:50:52 PM] TheWanderingZebra: Here, here in the land they are in now however will our heroes realize just how alien and unfamiliar Zebrica is to them that they may wish to head back to the familiar wasteland they know.
  5. [3/5/2014 6:51:47 PM] TheWanderingZebra: It is now that our heroes will begin to learn the perials that they will be facing. The question is though: will they manage to survive? That's something we're going to find out soon enough.

  9. [3/5/2014 6:55:47 PM] Dusk: Dirge rolls his eyes as he follows the alicorn. Seriously, did she even try to figure out where we were going? "Hey, hold up! We need to find out which way you're headed!" Doesn't she...he...it...know the basics of traveling?
  10. [3/5/2014 6:55:47 PM] TheWanderingZebra: It felt pretty strange, perhaps neither of you have ever seen this much green before in your lives. The jungle our heroes were transversing through contained many moss infested trees, with the occasional noise of an unknown animal seeming to be the only thing heard.
  11. [3/5/2014 6:56:26 PM] Fordregha: Kivuli looks up, seeing people leaving. He moves to follow the both of them. "I don't think splitting up is smart."
  12. [3/5/2014 6:58:53 PM] The Custodian: "Then follow. " she says, no longer content with just sitting around "I plan to travel a couple leagues in each direction to get an idea about our surroundings"
  13. [3/5/2014 6:59:36 PM] Schorcht: Cherry hovers behind the Alicorn as she clears the way. She observes her surroundings with "Ooh"s and "awe"s.
  14. [3/5/2014 7:00:19 PM] TheWanderingZebra: Sprocket follows Cherry without showing any reaction at the new and alien scenery.
  15. [3/5/2014 7:01:27 PM] HoloDiskJockey F.: Amber looks ahead at the jungle with a wary glance. "Times like these I wish I had map." she mutters before she feels an idea coming on. "Actually that's not a bad idea, if I don't have a map, I could make one!"
  16. [3/5/2014 7:02:24 PM] The Custodian: "You can be our cartographer then. Now try and keep up" she says, setting a rather brisk pace and using one of the swords to cut away brush when needed
  17. [3/5/2014 7:04:04 PM] Solid Snake: Aark takes the rear, following behind from a distance, keeping Darling at his side.
  18. [3/5/2014 7:04:44 PM] Fordregha: Kivuli keeps himself to the side of the forming train. "It'll be a good thing to have."
  19. [3/5/2014 7:06:38 PM] Dusk: The griffon frowns as he is still right behind 'Prince' Valliant. He wanted to say something, but decides that it would be best to just keep his beak shut, for now.
  20. [3/5/2014 7:09:59 PM] HoloDiskJockey F.: Amber takes a roll of parchment, a pencil and her compass and floats the objects infront. She takes the pencil and labels the map according to the compass coordinates. She draws a star on the west side of the parchment to signify the ship whilst tracing their steps into the jungle as they go. She'd go over the finer details in ink once she was able to. "I'll be the first equestrian in over 200 years or more to create and own a map of zebrica."

  23. [3/5/2014 7:11:52 PM] HoloDiskJockey F.: "Don't touch the flora, no knowing whether they're safe to touch or what not."
  24. [3/5/2014 7:11:59 PM] TheWanderingZebra: Minutes appeared to pass as our heroes as they continued their trek in the jungle. The flowers Cherry could see weren't something you'd commonly see in the Equestrian Wasteland now and then.

  27. "I'll be fine, Aark.." She says, looking about curiously.
  28. [3/5/2014 7:14:41 PM] The Custodian: The alicorn isnt really paying much mind to the flora. Mostly shes just trying to keep track of the distance covered so far
  29. [3/5/2014 7:15:53 PM] Schorcht: Cherry rolls her eyes. "Fine" she just looks at the pretty flowers.
  30. [3/5/2014 7:16:22 PM] HoloDiskJockey F.: "Oh I wish I had proper lab equipment," she said looking at the colorful plant life surrounding the area."So I could study them, not even the old books mentioned plants like these."
  31. [3/5/2014 7:17:16 PM] Dusk: Dirge smirks as he listens for any animals nearby. Maybe he can come across something tasty; that would be nice. "You think the natives eat meat, too? Or they just eat grass and flowers?"
  32. [3/5/2014 7:18:05 PM] Fordregha: "Well, I can eat meat so it's anyone's guess." Kivuli eyed the plants, falling somewhere between curious and afraid they're going to eat him.
  33. [3/5/2014 7:18:24 PM] The Custodian: The alicorn cringes "Hopefully weve left the barbaric carnivores of the wastes behind"
  34. [3/5/2014 7:18:43 PM] TheWanderingZebra: The plants that Kivuli were looking at didn't appear to be zebra eating ones ... 'appear' being a key word.
  35. [3/5/2014 7:19:45 PM] Dusk: "Yeah, screw you, too." Dirge snorts at the alicorn. Barbarians...
  36. [3/5/2014 7:21:22 PM] HoloDiskJockey F.: "Oh, I should definetly take notes on that." she exclaimed excitedly. "The plant life, the natives, the culture, their eating habits...I could EVEN make a book!"
  37. [3/5/2014 7:21:52 PM] The Custodian: "I meant mostly the ponies who have forsaken their usual diet..." she adds forgetting about the griffons tastes
  38. [3/5/2014 7:22:40 PM] Fordregha: "I really wouldn't have minded if there was a book circulating." Kivuli decides the plants are alright...for now.
  39. [3/5/2014 7:25:07 PM] HoloDiskJockey F.: "I can see it now, 'The Jungles of Zebrica: An Expedition to the Unknown' by Amber Sun!" her eyes had that sparkle again. "My findings will make me a hero amongst the great-minds of equestria and even the younger generations to come!"

  42. [3/5/2014 7:26:47 PM] Dusk: Dirge nods in agreement with Cherry. "Yeah. And I have more faith in the meat being good than the plants. the animals have to know what's good to eat, right?"

  48. [3/5/2014 7:30:23 PM] The Custodian: Valliant just makes a note to fix this once she rulles equestria, and then proceeds to mumble silently to herself

  52. [3/5/2014 7:34:15 PM] TheWanderingZebra: It appears an hour has passed as our heroes contine to trek through the jungle. So far, they haven't really gone through much trouble ... other than a few annoying insects flying in a group, but that wasn't much of a problem. They've oddly have had to easy so far ... perhaps too easy? Sprocket appears to be just hovering near Cherry as usual.

  55. [3/5/2014 7:40:11 PM] HoloDiskJockey F.: "Hmm, these insects look fairly common to species you'd find in pre-war biology books." she commented looking at some of the insects flying by, it lands on a leaf. "This, for instance, is a prime example of a Culicomorpha."

  59. [3/5/2014 7:42:43 PM] HoloDiskJockey F.: "These are commonly known as the Mosquito." she says. "Also, I wouldn't advise it since they drink blood from other ponies, or zebras in this case, and are known to carry blood diseases."

  75. [3/5/2014 8:05:08 PM] Schorcht: Cherry sighs. "Fine. But if we scare them off cause we are toting around guns..." She leaves that sentence open and draws Zaps. The guns wines as the batteries bring it to life.

  77. [3/5/2014 8:16:24 PM] The Custodian: And the alicorn continues to remain oblivious. GOod thing her swords already out
  78. [3/5/2014 8:18:14 PM] Dusk: Dirge is still unaware of the incoming...whatever it was. But he did start to listen in on the others talking.

[3/5/2014 8:21:38 PM] TheWanderingZebra: More leaves could be heard rustling as what appeared to be a pipe riffle coming out as a zebra stallion in a tribal outfit looked at the group with narrowed eyes as he spoke (which Cherry, not having her translation talisman on, could barely, though somewhat, comprehend what he was saying). "Ponies? Are you with the Children of the Night?" The zebra stallion says with contempt in his voice.

No fight we. Umm... Vegetables of Night... er..." Her speech trailing off as she tries her best to remeber her teachings that she ignored.

"Your Zebrican isn't really that good." He said to the zebrasus. He then turned to the rest of the group. "And that was my first guess. Ponies aren't exactly common around these areas, and the Children are usually known to have ponies in their tribes. But that doesn't change anything else, who are you, and what are you doing here?"

  120. [3/5/2014 8:44:35 PM] TheWanderingZebra: The zebra appears to put his riffle away, appearing disgusted at the attitude that Aark was giving him. Turning to the Zebrasus, which, he did take a minute to realize she had wings, and replied to her. "I asked if you were out to harm my family and if you were with the slavers. But your friends seem quite hostile so far regardless if they are or not."

The zebra said, appearing to be more calm, but appeared to give Aark a distrustful glance once in awhile, almost expecting him to make an assault. "How did you come to know of it?"

  136. [3/5/2014 8:55:29 PM] TheWanderingZebra: The zebra appeared to be thinking of something, taking a look at the weapons that the group had. "... I'm afraid all I, and my tribe knows, is about the legend of the Hunter and the Shamaness ... though, there may be a trading settlement that may pertain the lore you seek more on it's whereabouts."

  151. [3/5/2014 9:07:15 PM] TheWanderingZebra: "Our village elder, Imanu, could tell you more about it ... but how will I know he won't do anything he might regret?" The zebra stallion said referring to Aark.

A few other zebras, some of whom appear injured, appeared to look in surprise at the group, and were almost about to flee in terror until Marjani spoke. "Relax, they're here to help. Where's Imanu?"

Though, what trials will they face when they accept the offer to protect the tribe against slaver?
