A Ditzy Day(One)(Derpy)

>Its been a few weeks since you've arrived here. While it was a bit rough getting used to everything, you managed.
>The p0nies seemed fairly willing to accept you into their town, too. As such, you became integrated pretty quickly.
>You worked random jobs. Since you didn't have a 'cutie mark', you weren't limited to only one thing.
>You worked on a schedule though, working at some places for a week, at others for a day, and so on.
>This week, AppleJack had hired you to help around the farm. You liked the task, and it was pretty pleasant to work with AJ.
>She had given you today off, but you were still on her schedule, so you didn't try to find another job for today.
>You didn't have any plans so you settled for just walking around P0nyville, seeing what it had to offer when you weren't working.
>You leave your house and head to the market, maybe you could buy yourself a small treat? Who knows?
>Approaching the market, you see a small booth. Behind it, a gray mare with a blonde mane. Huh. You hadn't seen her before!
>As you're pondering whether to go speak to her or not, you can't help but notice that she looked a little down.
>Meh, what's the worse that could happen.
>Now that you're closer to the booth, you can read that the sign says 'Free Hugs'. That's cute, you fight to suppress a "d'aww".
>You'd gotten used to the fact that these p0nies were cute as hell. You try not to make it too noticable, but it slips out sometimes.
>You walk up to her. Hearing your footfalls, she looks up. Then you notice her eyes.
>She's wall-eyed. You try not to stare, instead opting to give an awkward half-smile.
>She seems happy to have someone approach her stand.
>"Hi! I'm Ditzy, want a hug?"
>Before you can really answer, she rushes at you. You can tell she's a pegasus now, something you didn't really notice when you first saw her.
>If it weren't for your job at Sweet Apple Acres, you're sure this p0ny might have knocked you down with her tackle-hug.
>"Hey, you didn't fall! Yay!"
>She looks up at your face with one eye, the other looking elsewhere. You can't contain the power-packed d'aww that appears.
>She gives you a curious look.
>"So Mister, what are you anyway?"
>Rather blunt, but you can kinda see where she's coming from. The pegasus p0nies didn't really hear much about your arrival, due to you having been found in the forest.
>She's still giving you that look, expecting an answer any moment now.
"Oh, well, I'm a human. I'm not from around here, heh."
>You try to awkwardly scratch the back of your head, but she still has her hooves wrapped around you. You try not to think about how.
>"Wow, I've never seen anything like you! Did you like my free hug?"
>She removes herself from your body and flutters back a bit to stand a reasonable distance away.
"Well I only got here a few weeks ago, so I would think there are plenty of p0nies that haven't heard of my arrival. And er...yes, your hug was, um, nice?"
>Your such a mess. You were never one for physical contact, hugs esspecially. You prefer to keep your distance, but now we're getting off topic.
>"Yay! Anyway, wanna know what I'm doing here?"
>Wow, she seems to change topics pretty quickly.
"Uh, sure?"
>She quickly tells you about how she set up her booth in hopes of getting to know P0nyvilles p0nies.
>Apparently though, she's been giving those tackle-hugs to every p0ny that went to the stand.
"Well, I don't think p0nies like your hu-"
>Her eyes start to tear up.
"I mean, maybe you should try again, giving hugs that aren't tackles?"
>She snaps out of her sadness and starts hovering in the air a bit. You take that as a sign of excitement or something.
>"That's a great idea Mister! And you can help me!"
>You still hadn't- huh?
"Me? Help? How?"
>"You can teach me how to hug p0nies! It works for both of us 'cause I get to learn, and you get hugs! I mean, who doesn't like hugs?"
>You. But, you can't just say no...
"I...I'll try it. But how are we gonna get p0nies to your booth?"
>"You can tell them! Ohh! Maybe we could offer your hugs too! Oh, it'd be so much fun!!"
>Dear God, what have you unleashed upon yourself.
>Your going to be hugged all day. Fuck. Might as well start getting used to it...
>You flash a look at Ditzy and quickly wrap her up in a hug. You don't know how, you just do.
>*eep* Oh god, she squeaked. This p0ny is too cute for her own good.
>You tell Ditzy your name and the two of you get started on her 'hug lessons'.

>Once you think she got a hang of it, you go around town telling about Ditzy's booth. How she's giving 'new and improved' hugs, how you're going to be giving hugs.
>They seem a little more eager when you mention that you'll be giving hugs. Welp.
>Word starts to spread amongst the p0nies, so you quickly head back to Ditzy's booth.
>You had set up another sign next to her 'Free Hugs' sign. It read "Only if you tell us a little about yourself."
>It added to the 'Get to know P0nyville's p0nies' thing. When you arrived, you went up to Ditzy and went to go behind the booth.
>"Wait! Hug and detail first!"
>You smile, how can you not?
"I'm starting to really like hugs, that good enough?"
>She smiles back, and you both hug.
>Soon enough the p0nies start lining up, just to get some hugs! It was a pretty good idea really.
>Well, in a place like P0nyville it makes sense.
>The day passes by smoothly, you and Ditzy getting to know the townfolk a bit more. Some p0nies even got in line twice!
>A minty green one, called Lyra, seemed to like your hugs alot more than any other p0ny did. You shook it off though.
>By the time the line of p0nies diminished, you and Ditzy had learned a lot about the p0nies. You turn to her with a smile.
"Great job today, Ditzy."
>She gives you a huge, silly grin.
>"Thanks! You too, Anon!"
>Ditzy Do used Tackle-Hug.
>Its super effective!
>Not being as prepared for it, that was the excuse at least, you fall to the ground. Ditzy used her wings so the landing wouldn't be as rough.
>"Whoops! Heh, sorry Anon."
>You like this mare. She's fun. You two could be great friends.
"Its allright Ditzy, I don't mind."
>You return the hug.
"Now, lets go get a snack or something!"
>"Oh boy! We should get MUFFINS!"
>You and your new friend head to Sugarcube Corner for some snacks.
