Don't buy it and bitch if there's not a lot to do and there's bugs all the time.
It's your money, you do what you want. Research to see if it's worth for YOU to buy it right now. Don't get angry as fuck with buyers remorse if this isn't up to expectations, this won't reach the Beta stage of development for at least a year.
Price will increase in the long run, don't worry about it increasing in a few weeks time.

So far it seems to be running much more smoothly than the mod for most people, with much more consistent and higher frame rates.
Don't get asshurt if you dropped something and it vanishes, this is still buggy.

If you see him, you should pester him gently. We don't want to scare him off by sounding overly edgy.

FIND SERVERS TO PLAY ON

Start up the game, pick out your character.
Connect
Internet (upper left)
Filter (bottom left)
Set filters, setting ping to 0 shows all servers
Refresh as needed

All servers originaly ran in synch with the same daytime cycle (24h) on an unspecified European time (best guess is on the Czech time, wich is GMT+1). But preety much all servers are now run on different timezones with different time cycle durations. You can blame casual server admins for setting servers to 24/7 daytime with no clouds or rain.
Current maximum player capacity is 40.
There are 2 seperate hives, Regular and Hardcore.  Regular is for casuals who need the 3rd person perspective crutch while Hardcore is 1st person only.
Private Hives like BMRF are allready setting up servers for testing, private hive support is confirmed for sometime in the future.

Don't server hop, because you will get fucked in the ass for it.

BLOOD TRANSFUSION MANUAL (made by someone who does this for a living)

Make sure you test blood types before doing a blood transfusion, otherwise shit will get real fast from systemic imunological response, wich will lead to death within minutes.
Try to use the most aseptic technique possible, by using desinfectant items whenever possible, so that the risk of infection diminishes.
You can't just use a bloodbag to do a transfusion. You normally need to collect blood from players, setup an IV saline kit and then do the transfusion.

If you have a blood testing kit, use it. It will determine the blood type (A, B, AB, 0) and Rh factor (+ or -).
Put the bloodbag in your hands and select the option from the Scroll Wheel to draw blood from a player. You need a syringe to do this.
After the blood bag is filled, equip it and right click on the IV kit to attach it.
Then do the transfusion.

(Still no news if this is how it in, but this is how it work IRL)
Rh- people can't receive blood from Rh+ donors, but it's safe to do it the other way around.
0- is the universal donor, while AB+ is the universal receptor.
Other than this, you can donate within the same letters (A with A, B with B, AB with A or B) if you don't violate the Rh factor rule mentioned above.

BALLISTIC HELMET GUNSHOT TEST

7.62x54mm
Subjects 1 & 2 are equipped with a Ballistic Helmet
Subject 1 is shot in back of the head at close range
Subject 1 dies instantly
Quality of helmet degrades from Pristine to Ruined
Subject 2 is shot in the face at close range
Subject 2 dies instantly

Conclusion: A pristine Ballistic helmet will not protect a wearer from a 7.62x54mm round, regardless of the place of impact.

5.56x45mm
Subjects 1 & 2 are equipped with a Ballistic Helmet
Subject 1 is shot in back of the head at close range
Subject 1 is unaffected
Quality of helmet degrades from Pristine to Badly Damaged
Subject 2 is shot in the face at close range
Subject 2 dies instantly

Quality of helmet degrades from Badly Damaged to Ruined

Conclusion: A pristine Ballistic helmet will protect the visibly covered area from a single 5.56x45mm round, before becoming ruined and completely ineffective.

For other weapons, currently .375 mag. functions exactly as .45acp.

OTHER ADVICES & TIPS

The time you remain unconscious depends on your blood level at the moment you got KO'd and the amount of damage you took. You can be knocked out from 2 seconds to 15min.
You can be revived with a defibrilator, epinephrine and a saline IV.

You need to put bateries into flashlights for them to work. Click Space-bar to point it forward and then turn it on.

UI is allmost completely gone. Look at the bottom left in the chat to see indications on your character's status (i.e. thirst, hunger, bleeding, etc.). The messages also appear now in the inventory menu.
The messages will turn red before shit hits the fan. Take care of your character so shit doesn't get out of control.

You get hungry, thirsty and tired MUCH more frequently now.
You start off very thirsty and will hungry soon afterwards. Find a well and drink until your stomach is completly full. Then find food and eat as much as you can, then collect the rest.
You need a can opener, knife or another sharp object to open canned stuff. Remember that you need to purify water before drinking it to prevent infections, so be careful.
Sit down to rest so you don't cough out your lungs from running a marathon.
You need to be energized and hydrated aswell as rested to start healing (regenerating blood).

You can rip shirts and bandanas into rags and use them to bandage yourself.

You can punch now. Unequip what you are currently holding in your hands and press the Space-bar. One punch to the head can knock a zombie to the floor or KO someone.
To get more resistance to getting KO'd by wannabe Muhamad Ali's, get a motorbike helmet. It protects your head greatly.

You need magazines to load. Weapons with internal magazines can be loaded without any extra tool, but pistols or rifles with detachable magazines can only be chamber loaded if you don't have magazines to load ammo into so you can load your weapon.

To use the bipod attachment on your M4A1 and Nugget, deploy it on your inventory by right clicking it and selecting the option. You only get an accuracy bonus while prone.

You can costumize the fuck ton out of characters and weapons now. Payday masks are solely used by Bandits and faggots, so take that in consideration if the need for PvP arises. Using the Gas Mask + Ballistic Helmet combo also is considered Bandit uniform.

EVERYTHING has a durability now. The worse it is, the higher is the chance of it not working properly. You can NOT use Ruined items.

Infection chance seems to be greatly increased.

Zombies are much harder to loose. They sometimes run trough walls or get stuck motionless making aggro noises. They currently don't respawn so you can clear out an area fairly easily. It takes multiple punches to kill one, but a hatchet/fireaxe can kill one with 1 swing.

Use the Scroll Wheel to do actions. System is still implemented until it is completely redone.

You can use the Scroll Wheel menu or TAB to pickup shit. If you open your inventory (G), you can drag and drop stuff into the place you desire on your character.

You can't acess peoples backpacks, so you'll have to risk the item dissapearing by dropping it on the floor. Items that you drop take a few seconds to appear on the floor.

The map is the same size, despite what idiots will spout. Towns got expanded and more towns where added so there is less "open" space. You can't seem to be able to put together the several maps you can find in-game yet.

You can rebind all your controls, tweak mouse smoothing, FoV, etc. in the Options menu.

To do emotes, you need to bind them. Check your Options menu.

There's LOADS of books now, from Darwin's "Origin of Species" to Russian learning books. To read them, put them in your hands.

You can write notes if you have a pen and a piece of paper.

You can mute people in the exact same way you did in ArmA II. There seems to be a bug that people can use VON on global chat without using radios.
