Bio: Pelageya Popov was born into a pirate crew (that of Captain Thomas Sharp), of which her father was the first mate and her mother the second mate. This crew was very successful, and for many years made a life of plundering and then leaving before they were ever caught. For the first fifteen years of her life, Pelageya grew up to this, at first watching and then later participating in the piracy.

Cheymough has one of the strongest navies in the world, and even though Sharp's crew was expert and evaded detection for many years, it could not do so forever. The navy boarded the ship, attacked it, killed Captain Sharp, and imprisoned each and every one of the survivors, including the then 15 Pelageya and her parents.

For a year they were imprisoned (at the end of which they were inevitably scheduled to be executed), until a successful prison break led by Pelageya's parents freed almost all of the crew. But the prison guards would not let them off easily, and in the ensuing fighting, Pelageya was wounded and separated from her family. She took to being a mercenary, something she's been doing for the past year.
