- . As part of IIIT-H's rigorous curriculum and my own self interest, I have amassed experience in technical development. I have been into web development and application development, Algorithmic Coding and Software Engineering. As a part of ITWS-2 course, I developed “YearBook” on web2py platform , that allows users to upload photos and the application syncs with facebook on appropriate tagging.
- My curiosity for developing application has incresed as time passed. I have an andriod application which allows the users to track their friends(if they have their friends username).
- Now, i am into developing an windows application that is facility management application for an IT company. This is a part of my SSAD course project. Through this project I am exposed real world software development, the life cycle that goes into the development of a software.
- My research experience is not much, but yes I am very much interested to pursuing it . I have even mentioned my research interests above. To gain some experience , I am association with my Senior fellow in his research to gain experience and hoping to find a way to go forward with my interests. The project is about crowdsourcing through gamification. The real aspect that is assciated with it is immersion
- I am involved in a project which aims to create a gamified MOOC to crowd source knowledge from users. The objective is to not restrict the learning to the user only, but expands horizons of the machine to co-learn with the user. This idea can be applied in clearing the disambiguation we face while POS tagging of a word corpus.
- On the user side, the project intends to use gamification to get the users more involved in the MOOC. We plan to build an immersive world around the MOOC (for example – A jigsaw puzzle where the user fills the blanks using appropriate adverbs/verbs), such that the user applies semantic attributes to the virtual objects in the MOOC along with the semantic attributes of the language creating a two tier immersion process
