start out prison 1984-ish dull white, but fake happy personality almost like hunger games. There's the posters so its kind of like trust the system kind of thing. brainwashing.

chance looks at things, he is main character we realize, his emotion shows detactment from this system. how long has he been here? How long has everyone been here? He just shows up and now he's getting married? Little quick there? Sounds like something more established growing up?

Whats a wunderkind?

We don't know anything about chance and now he's in love with a girl we don't know. I feel like we should get to know him first before introducing more people into the story. So far chance has been sitting around and hasn't said a word.

This place seems really happy, fake happy, so why would victre's photo be emotionless, esp if our introduction to him is nice guy?

He was released from what? Is he back in the real world is this some other kind of world he's in? Again hunger games feeling "whatever the supreme desires". Was chance always in this "system"?

We now learn chance's life depends on hacking into a government database. Why is he here? It's not from punishment since he was released, but what is his other option? Normal life? Is everyone here here because they are good at hacking? Is this an army of hackers? Why does no one else talk about hacking?

Tyson: When is his pairing day again? Sounded like everyone gets paired the same day? Is that an odd question to ask?

Chance meets eyes with the green eyes girl. Is he allowed to go help her pick up items? He has an ankle bracelet, sounds more like a brainwashed prison that would not let guys and girls interact with one another. maybe he tries to go help her but a guard gently pushes him back in line? This also reminds me of "The Giver" where everyone is brainwashed but people are more fake with their emotions and have restrictions. They are all in fear. Some of this seems too light-hearted for this type of world.

Tyson now explains how everything works and the reason they are all there. Again im curious to why people are here. Do they have to be? Do they believe in this system?

Chance tries to talk to the girl, works for me

Chance waits for his injection, We now know why because we were told. I'm still weird about Tyson explaining to the audience exactly what's happening. Maybe chance hears this second hand from someone else in secret like a cell mate or while in line etc.

Why is there a toy machine in this dull white world?

After this I get a little lost. I think it's because I don't know what kind of world this is. Its dull and white but they all have freedom to hangout and party? Chance isn't mad at the system so much as he wants a girl.

Two men kissing? But Victre caught nods at Chance? why? How does this advance chance's story?

Chance put into this brain washed world wants to destory it because he likes Mary? This originally seemed like Chance vs the system but now it's Chance wants a girl.

Id say describe more up front about the place and why people are there. Do they want to be there? If it's dull and 1984 white why are there laughs, toy machines?
