...Wakaba has closed the diary after she read it.
Her hands were trembling. Anger and helplessness were all jumbled together in her heart.
The rest of the girls gathered around Wakaba and tried to look into the diary. Sorrow, terror, anger, anxiety... a lot of different feelings were reflected on their faces.
'Wakaba-chan...' said Hinata, worryingly looking into her face.
'It's alright, Hinata,' Wakaba replied and shook her head trying to calm Hinata down. However, she wasn't sure if she managed to behave as her usual self.
Wakaba has gently put the diary in front of the fountain. Then she quietly joined her hands, thinking over the contents of it...

Year 2015, a certain day.
How many days have passed since we hid underground? Our smartphone batteries have run down long ago and we have no means to figure out what date it is. All the battery chargers here in the mall were monopolized by some people and we can't use them. But even if we could, there's no signal and we couldn't use our phones for anything but to know the date and time.
Anyway, at this point we are starting to lose the track of time. So, in order for this not to happen, I'm gonna keep a diary. Besides, the information on our time here may have some importance when we'll be rescued.

Year 2015, a certain day.
For the present, I want to clear the situation up.
By the end of July, because of the monsters that have appeared from the sky, our town was destroyed. A lot of people died, including my parents...
Me and my sister have somehow survived and escaped to the underground mall in Umeda together with lots of other people. We have barricaded all the exits so the monsters couldn't come in.
Since then we've always been hiding here in the mall, not knowing what's going on on the surface. I'm afraid to even think what has happened to my school friends...
