So, my nemesis was my friend who introduced me to this game. He doesn't play it as much as I do, but his gameplay is very witty and sly, always hearing my buttons, and just plays very turtle-like. He mains Blanka, which is an annoying match up for Ryu (in my opinion) since I cant punish his rolling attacks unless he is in the corner. However, I started playing very seriously about this game, and I decided to start learning frames, all the punishes for blanka's down forward, learn to save super to punish rolling attacks after block. I still can't figure a safe setup against his ultra 1, but Its easily baitable.

Anyways in my process of training, my friend just constantly teased and bullied me about this... "YOU ARE MENTALLY SICK TO BE COMMITTED TO THIS GAME" "YOU ARE WASTING YOUR LIFE ON THIS GAME" "YOU DONT KNOW WHAT FUN IS" "YOU JUST HATE LOSING THATS WHY YOU ARE LEARNING BLANKA MATCH UP" "YOU ARE PATHETIC"

All this and that, it can get pretty annoying when I put a lot of effort learning the game and still lose, then have him rub it in my nose, "WITH ALL THAT TRAINING, YOU STILL GOT RAPED!"

This guy can't even do a 2 hit combo, for real... but because he doesn't crouch tech he's immune to frame traps, and at the same time he frame traps me because he presses a lot of buttons. It's also hard to throw him. He always react to my buttons and because he spams electricity on wake up, it's hard for to go aggressive or land a safe jump (thank god I finally mastered my meaty attacks).

Anyways, so then with all that hardwork I put on the lab - learning to do meaty attacks properly, learn whats punishable and which button I should use, learn to whiff punish and all that - I finally put my demons to REST! I won 8-1... and it is that when he ALT+F4, and un-installed the game... saying "THIS GAME IS FKING STUPID, UNBALANCED AND HAS GLITCHES" "CROSS UPS ARE BUGS AND KARAS ARE ALSO BUGS" it is that when I explained to him that most fighting games have karas and cross ups "FUCK THAT I AINT PLAYING FIGHTING GAMES THEN"

I remember it was him who introduced me to the game, he said he loved it a lot... UNTIL... I showed him all tech in this game.. the hardship, and the execution skills you need... (option selects, 1-frame links, karas, proxamity option select etc...)

I guess he dislikes challenges..

Am I happy about this? just a bit... but then... He's the only player that was willing to play with me.. our community here is small, and even though i did meet others who play the game, I just can't click with those players just because you play street fighter doesn't make you everything, I've met alot of assholes in this community, and even though i want to compete, I still want to make friends playing the game.
