Medium Sized Homebrew Batfolk Race

a Humanoid Race exhibiting bat-like appearances and traits. They are often shunned from towns for being falsely associated with vampires. They find solace in their camaraderie with Tieflings, Strix and Dhampirs who share their same ostracized fate.

Racial Ability Scores:
Camazotz are deft, intelligent creatures of the night, but their lithe aerodynamic bodies leaves little to muscular growth. They gain a +2 to both Dexterity and Intelligence, but a -2 to Strength.

Base Speed: Camazotz have a base speed of 30 feet on land. They also possess a fly speed of 60 feet (average).

Feats and Skill Racial Traits
Nocturnal: Camazotz gain a +2 racial bonus on Perception and Stealth checks in dim light or darkness.
Agile Flyer: Camazotz are graceful hunters in the sky. They have a +4 racial bonus to fly.

Senses Racial Traits
Blindsight 60ft: Camazotz's eyesight are particularly bad that they automatically fail any Perception checks made to identify visual cues such as writing, light and colors. However, they possess exceptional hearing and echolocation which allows them to automatically pass any Perception checks to pinpoint the location of a creature within range of its blindsense ability, rendering invisibility, darkness, and most kinds of concealment irrelevant provided that it has line of effect to that creature.

Offensive Racial Traits
Vampire Bat: Though Camazotz are not associated with vampires, their bat-like features still grants them a bite attack that deals 1d4 damage.

Alternate Racial Traits
Fruit Bat: Some Camazotz adopt a more omnivorous diet which includes fruits and berries. They gain the Scent Racial ability. This racial trait replaces Vampire Bat.

Frightening: Camazotz, with their often mistaken association with vampires, impose a particularly menacing visage and use this to their advantage, gaining a +2 racial bonus on Intimidate checks. This racial trait replaces Agile Flyer.

Night Hunter: Camazotz are nocturnal hunters. They gain +2 attack and damage rolls made against creatures in dim-light or darkness. This racial trait replaces Vampire Bat.

Favored Class Bonuses
Antipaladin - Increase the penalty caused by the antipaladin’s aura of cowardice and aura of despair special abilities by 1/4.
Vigilante - Add a 1/2 bonus on Intimidate and Fly checks.
Inquisitor - Increase the effective level of the Revelation inquisitions by 1/4.
Cleric - Increase the effective level of the Darkness domain cleric powers by 1/4.
Ranger - Add 1/2 bonus on wild empathy checks to influence bats, snakes and other nocturnal creatures.
Hunter - Add 1/4 to the natural armor bonus of animal companions that are nocturnal creatures.
Magus - Add 1/4 bonus on Stealth and Fly checks.
