I call them as such cause there are instances where the game disc is not read porperly, causing some interesting issues, one moment it happened was here [http://www.twitch.tv/narbevoguel/c/4637739], see how it didnt load the door, although I hadn't noticed at the time; my theory is that if I went on the next room might have not loaded properly, and might have caused later an issue I'm gonna explain in the next example.

Years ago this area in DarkIce Mines (the one where you need to collect the cogs), the game didnt load properly, because of that, the doors to the base in the middle were open, I could retrieve the cog there without having to do anything else, however shortly after as I was leaving the base, I fell through the ground, being now under the map, and shortly after the game softlocked. I managed to find a similar situation that happened to someone else online (too lazy to look for the forum thread atm), he could perform actions in the middle of a cutscene, but once it ended and he tried to leave, the same thing happened (falling through the ground and softlocking the game). I tried to recreate this by taking off the disc and inserting it again, but to no avail (plus for speedrunning this would be banned anyway). Which leads me to a possible theory:

Hard unloadings (I'm gonna call them as such cause I cant think of anything else): if you do the airswim glitch to head over to cape claw, it causes lightfoot village to not load properly, and it stays that way forever, even if you turn off the console. If we can find ways to clip through walls, access areas unconventionally like that glitch, we can make the game not load the areas properly, therefore obtaining things faster (like the cogs in DarkIce mines for example).

  11. Aside from skipping the Krazoa 2 quest completely, there are other things that can be done but up to this point, lead to nowhere. One of them is get to DarkIce mines early without the need to get the lantern nor anything [http://youtu.be/pJeRICgF5JU]. Problem with this is that the gate remains closed and unless theres a door/gate door clip glitch found, this one is rendered useless. You can also get the 3rd krazoa spirit on the way to cape claw, thing is, that you get locked in that room no matter what you do, so unless a clip is found, this is another useless thing.

  15. I have a theory that some maps are a whole different map the second time they're visited, but are still connected somehow. One of them would be Walled City, the second time you visit this map some things are in their place even though you didnt do anything on the first trip (the statues being lifted even though you didnt retrieve the fangs). Either that or maybe delivering key items (such as the last spellstone) makes the map behave differently (volcano force point temple 2). However, I can say I'm almost positive that the spellstone room is not one room but in fact, 4 different rooms, connected somehow. When you skip a spellstone and deliver the next, it will show regardless that you delivered the previous one [http://puu.sh/ewULV/7010932b23.jpg]. I did massive testing by not delivering the first spellstone and keeping it the entire game; this saved a lot of cutscenes and time, however, not getting the Krystal sos cutscene means not getting the quake staff spell, so when you get the super quake upgrade, the game will not let you use it, for some reason key items do overwrite each other, but staff spells dont.

  19. Some cutscenes are useless, but cant be skipped, if a way to skip a trigger was found, it would save time on certain parts. I tried dying while triggering the cutscene but I cant get it to work, I'll have to tas that later, but it would be insanely precise. One example where this could be useful would be on the second trip to cape claw, and get the second krazoa gem by not triggering the flame cutscene, since those flames need to be doused in order to get the gem. THe only thhing getting in the way from avoiding the first trip to volcano force point completely is that flame, since you need the freezer blast.

Some notes, if a door clipping glitch is found, then we can do the darkice mines early glitch, get the cogs in that map, as well as avoid the cutscenes from first visit to volcano temple 1 and clip to get the quake spell, get the 3rd krazoa spirit on whichever trip to cape claw, that would avoid the lightfoot trials as well as the first visit to ocean temple 1 completely, and only delivering the last 2 spellstones would be required, since delivering the last spellstone is more than enough for the game to continue the sequence.
