- Hey Guys
- I'm one of those old LAS converts who's been trying to learn FreeBSD. I've installed FreeNAS and PC-BSD a few times on old XP desktops and laptops at work but the damn things refuse to break so I could work on them. So I figured it was time to get TrueOS on a nice laptop.
- But with hardware compatibility accelerating the way it is now, I'm not able to find real data on laptops that are supported. So I figured I'd just be nosy and ask you guys what laptops you used. What currently works and doesn't with them. And what tweaks, if any, you had to make to get them working. I've heard you guys say that laptop manufacturers swap parts without changing model numbers so I know that I'm gambling no matter what I get. But any information you can give me will be much appreciated.
