OPFEEDTHEHOMELESS

#OpFeedTheHomeless needs to continue.  We had a great coordinated effort earlier this year, and it needs longevity.  As our economy continues to spiral out of control we see a huge increase in our homeless population.  Some of these people are in dire need of things we take for granted, such as a hot meal, a warm blanket, or even simple kindness and compassionate interaction with others.

bit.ly/14ScI3F this link will expose our governments view on the subject of citizens trying to do their part to help.  It sickens me to see well meaning people afraid to help their fellow man because of fear from government reprisal.  I am proposing a day of feeding the homeless across this nation in a show of solidarity, and civil disobedience (for areas banning this action).

It takes very little overhead and time to make a difference for someone much less fortunate than yourself.  In the past we have seen people set up in a public location and cook banquet style, we have seen people make food ahead of time and hand it out in a park setting, we have seen people order pizzas and drive around handing them out.  The point is there are many ways to help out that can be tailored to your circumstance.

Everyday is a great day to extend a hand and help someone, and i encourage anyone who cares to help out whenever they can.  With that said, I would like to see another #OpFeedTheHomeless event take place.  On Sat. October 12, 2013 I will be catering an #OpFeedTheHomeless event in my hometown.  I urge you to join me in whatever capacity you can!
