Unattached Exchange Students Scene

Dahlia: “Did they see us?”
Eric: “They definitely saw us! They’re still coming!”
Shirley: “Oh jeez…”
Piper: “That door is NOT gonna stop them…”
Dahlia: "Okay, okay, I got an idea. Call me names."
Eric: "Huh?"
Dahlia: "My forcefield likes to stay close to my skin. I can pump it up a little on my own- mainly it gets bigger when I'm uncomfortable. If I'm gonna cover this whole doorway so they can't get past, I need it to be BIG. So come on! All that stuff you're always complaining about- show me!"
Eric: "Uh. Okay. Um. Black kids score lower on standardized tests because they're dumb! Autism Speaks is a worthwhile charity! Other people’s health insurance is a waste of tax money! Having a mailbox on an island somewhere totally entitles you to not pay taxes!"
Joey: "Those guys out there don't believe in climate change!"
Eric: "Yeah! There’s a conspiracy! And they brought someone with a mail-order degree to tell you how fake it is! You can trust him ‘cause all the big publications have been trying to keep him quiet!"
Shirley: "People in developing countries would be fine if they just applied themselves!"
Enrico: "Girls shouldn't play football!"
Shirley: "America is the GREATEST NATION-"
Dahlia: "No, back up- that’s not it. I need flight, not fight! Creep me out!"
Eric: “Ohhhh."
Eric: “..."
Eric: “I, uh… I don’t think I know that one.”
[Piper clears her throat]
“In the event of a legitimate rape, the body has ways of shutting that down.”
[Dahlia tenses up]
Piper: “The school can’t afford to take sides in this little disagreement. You kids will have to resolve it yourselves.”
Hisashi: “Mandatory vaccinations are like, Auschwitz. We need to have the right to choose. If your child gets the measles and dies- maybe it was just their time, you know?”
Owen: “You’re at a very sensitive age right now. You’ll understand when you’re older.”
