- Hi:
- This is a small tutorial so people close to me connect to furnet/anthrochat. I'll try to babble the less I am able, but remember that I have problems concentrating.
- Ok. To begin, look for a client for your chat. All you need is a client, you don't need to know advanced stuff.
- When you have downloaded and installed your client, open the client and maximize it. Then type this:
- /server furnet.org
- It will show a long welcoming message and then it means you are connected.
- Then it is important you register your nick, so it won't get used by any one but you. All you need to do is this command:
- /msg nickserv register yourpassword youremail@someemailserver.com
- Then a message from furnet will pop up in your inbox. Follow instructions and remember that password. If you want you can save it on a piece of paper and put it on your wallet or in your purse.
- If you disconnect, you will have to identify yourself to the server again. The string command is:
- /msg nickserv identify yourpassword
- Now that we got that covered, we need to join rooms. Type this into the console:
- /list
- That way the console will list all public channels and their descriptions.
- So, that is basically all there is to it.
- Hopefully you enjoy furnet or anthrochat.
- Christel
