  47. 1) Following: It was a girl's voice that woke you. She offered to take you back to her tribe. You could have followed your tracks back to where you came from, but you did not. She said it would be useless. When you asked why, she said that if you were lucky, you would have learned the hard way after a few hours. If you were not so lucky, a few days. Nature will not long abide an unbroken trail.
  48. 2) Uncomfortable Truths: Gain knowledge and share it, that seemed simple enough. The more you know, the more you can do, and the more danger you can avoid. Who could have known that tugging on that particular thread would have dug up something... embarrassing. You tried to say nothing, give an excuse to leave before you had to say anything and then you felt a tingle on your head. You started to spill everything. The only thing that saved you from her anger was probably the unrelenting tide of truth that came pouring out. If you tried to hold it back, it burned in your lungs, your throat, your mouth, your mind.
  49. You ran to the shaman, Valentina, answers splashing onto any passerby until you got out of the village. When you reached the shaman, she listened calmly, then with a mischevious smile she proceeded to ask you questions. Even if it had nothing to do with your problem or the spirits, she asked and you could do naught but answer. After she a bit of fun extracting gossip from you, she told you that this would pass and you could stay with her outside the village until this curse had passed. Valentina's not one for lectures but she did tell you you were fortunate that you only accidentally broke the pact of a very benign spirit.
  50. 3) Price of Power: You decided to invoke the power of your new pact almost immediately. Perhaps not the wisest idea as you didn't actually get any of the hunters to go and kill whatever beast it may be. Fortunately for you, the girl who first found you, Sandra, was willing to hunt it down. It was a rather disgusting beast that stank of rot but it fortunately didn't pose too much difficulty for the two of you. While you were fulfilling the requirements of your pact, you saw what Sandra's required of her. The girl was visibly ill as she partook of the noxious creature's flesh. You couldn't bear to watch it but just the sound of what aiding you cost her was making your stomach churn.

  61. Truth: The spirit says it recognizes a kindred soul, you can receive glimpses of illuminating truth as it passes, though trying to catch it all can cost peace of mind. When such knowledge is given, it must be shared and cannot be delivered falsely. To withhold the knowledge is to lose your voice to the whims of truth.
