- Re:Digitize, Techniques
- So this is what I like to speedrun Re:Digitize. You will get a tech 100% consistent in any% without any kind of manipulation and you can grind few techs for NG+ so basically we don't grind techs ever during the speedrun. However, in this section there are some optional techs you can learn and can helpful for speedrun. Since this techniques are learned from forced enemies, you won't have other chances to grind for them so don't be stressful to reset the run for specific techs. It's optional after all.
- Any% techniques
- For Any%, I divide this into Growlmon and MarineAngemon's tech, because we spend fights with them.
- Growlmon
- Growlmon's skills are tricky. You want to use specific tech in specific battle only for efficiency. Trust me, spread bomb will make battle longer in tiny area like Sewer. You can learn other techs like Muscle Charge from Greymon and Gatomon, but they are not useful for speedrun purpose.
- * Fire Breath (Fire Rank 1, Mandatory): your only skill to rely if you can't learn any skill during Growlmon phase. Still good skill but will be replaced if you can learn anything better.
- * Fire Tower (Fire Rank 2): despite rank 2, I personally call this is the best skill for Growlmon. Long range+give confusion status effect. Can be used anywhere and totally ignore Fire Breath if you learn this. Learned from Greymon fight.
- * Spin Attack (Combat Rank 3): Alternative for Fire Tower despite short range, give better damage than Fire Breath + Can Stun too. Learned from Gatomon fight.
- * Fire Wall (Fire Rank 3): Better damage than Fire Breath but shorter range. Only use this in tiny area like Sewer. Learned from Birdramon fight.
- * Spread Bomb (Fire Rank 5): AoE skill and deal most damage compared to other Growlmon's tech can be learned for speedrun. But don't use this on Birdramon and tiny area like Sewer. Learned from Vitium Champion form in Signpost Forest.
- MarineAngemon
- All MarineAngemon's optional skills are AoE, so these only useful on 2 vs 2 battles in colosseum. I won't recommend to use them outside that, for Ice Statue you can use it in last two fights before last boss (BlackWGrey and BDuke/Gallant)
- * Waterfall (Water Rank 4, Mandatory): main skills to be used from MegaSeadramon onward as your partner. Recruit MegaSeadramon to obtain this (yes, no RNG involved).
- * Thunder Storm (Air Rank 5): Basically the "Spinning Shot" for DW1 runners. Learned from Akiho's Garudamon on 2 vs 2 Colosseum.
- * Ice Statue (Water/Ice Rank 6): The improvement of Waterfall but I personally only use it on tag battles due to animation. Learned from your partner's twin MarineAngemon if you accidentally hit her in Binary Castle.
- * Holy Sunshine and Judgement (Holy Rank 6&7): Both are AoEs. Judgement is stronger one. Learned from Any Angemons and Beelzebubmon in Binary Castle.
- NG+ techniques (must have all these skills)
- * Fighting Aura (Combat Rank 7): main skills to be used in 90% battles in speedrun
- * Fire Storm (Fire Rank 7): used in powdery cliff
- * Charge Attack (Combat Rank 6): used in weak or tricky colosseum fights
- * DG Dimension V2 (Machine Rank 7): used in few fights (enemies that weak against machine or 2 vs 2)
- * Optional: Heavy Rain (Water Rank 5), save it for 100PP in future (hehehe...)
