  147. Selection Rule Summary:
  148.
  149. * Brood Progenitor: All Termagants in units within 12" of the Tervigon have the Counter-attack special rule. (Codex: Tyranids p52)
  150. * Brotherhood of Psykers (Warhammer 40k rulebook)
  151. * Fearless (Warhammer 40k rulebook p35)
  152. * Instinctive Behaviour - Feed (Codex: Tyranids p33)
  153. * Instinctive Behaviour - Hunt (Codex: Tyranids)
  154. * Instinctive Behaviour - Lurk (Codex: Tyranids p33)
  155. * Living Bomb (Spore Mines Only): Each Spore Mine model is treated as an individual unit. Spore Mines are always ignored for the purposes of any and all mission objectives. Spore Mines are not subject to Instinctive Behaviour, never go to ground (voluntarily or otherwise), run or fall back. At the beginning of the Tyranid Movement phase, each Spore Mine moves D6" in a direction determined by rolling the scatter dice (Tyranid player chooses the direction if a hit is rolled). If a Spore Mine suffers a wound, touches an enemy model, impassable terrain, or it ends any Movement phase within 2" of an enemy unit, it immediately explodes. Place the central hole of the large blast marker over the Spore Mine and resolve any hits at a Strength 4 and AP of 4. Spore Mines that drift off the table or into a friendly unit are immediately removed from play. (Codex: Tyranids p48)
  156. * Psychic Brood: A Zoanthrope brood follows all the rules for Brotherhood of Psykers except that the unit
  157. has a Mastery Level of 2. In addition, if a brood of Zoanthropes uses the Warp Blast
  158. power, the number of shots fired is equal to the number of Zoanthropes in that brood. (Codex: Tyranids)
  159. * Psyker (Mastery Level 1) () (Warhammer 40k rulebook p41)
  160. * Psyker (Mastery Level 2) () (Warhammer 40k rulebook p41)
  161. * Raking Strike: A Hive Crone’s Vector Strike is resolved at Strength 8.
  162. * Shadow in the Warp: All enemy units and models with the Psyker, Psychic Pilot or Brotherhood of Psykers
  163. special rules suffer a -3 penalty to their Leadership whilst they are within 12" of one or
  164. more models with the Shadow in the Warp special rule. (Codex: Tyranids p33)
  165. * Sonic Screech: When a Harpy charges into combat, all enemy models in the combat suffer -5 to their
  166. Initiative (to a minimum of 1) until the end of that Assault phase. (Codex: Tyranids p43)
  167. * Spawn Termagants: At the end of your Movement phase, a Tervigon can spawn Termagants, even if it is
  168. locked in close combat. If it does so, roll 3D6 – this is the number of models spawned.
  169. Place the new unit of Termagants on the table so that it is wholly within 6" of the
  170. Tervigon. Models in this new unit cannot be placed in impassable terrain or within 1" of
  171. enemy models. If you cannot place some of the models due to the restrictions above or
  172. because you have run out of Termagant models, the excess is discarded.
  173.
  174. The spawned unit cannot move during the Movement phase in which it is spawned, nor
  175. can it charge this turn, but it is free to shoot or Run as normal. A unit spawned by a
  176. Tervigon is identical in every way to a Termagant unit chosen from the Troops section of
  177. the army list, and is treated as such for all mission special rules. Models in a spawned
  178. unit are armed with fleshborers and may not purchase options.
  179.
  180. If any double is rolled when determining the size of a spawned unit, the Tervigon has
  181. temporarily exhausted its supply of larvae – the Termagant unit is created as normal, but
  182. the Tervigon cannot spawn any further units for the rest of the game. (Codex: Tyranids p52)
  183. * Symbiotic Targeting: If an Exocrine does not move in its Movement phase, it gains a +1 bonus to its Ballistic
  184. Skill until the end of its turn. An Exocrine cannot declare a charge during the same turn
  185. that it uses this special rule. (Codex: Tyranids)
  186. * Synapse Creature: Models with the Synapse Creature special rule have a synapse range of 12". Friendly
  187. Codex: Tyranids models within this synapse range, including the Synapse Creatures
  188. themselves, have the Fearless special rule. If a unit from Codex: Tyranids is falling back
  189. and at least one of the unit’s models is within a friendly Synapse Creature’s synapse range
  190. before the unit moves, the unit automatically Regroups. (Codex: Tyranids p33)
  191. * Very Bulky (Warhammer 40k rulebook p35)
  192. * Warp Field: Zoanthropes have a 3+ invulnerable save. (Codex: Tyranids p44)
