  1. (Teradrim): Ivoln says, "Imperator, I shall need to speak with you shortly."
  2.
  3. (Teradrim): You say, "I shall await You, my Lord."
  4.
  5. You are transported by the power of the Divine. (Divine Transport)
  6. A stone passageway.
  7. The giant head of a wyrm has been carved in the rock wall at the end of the passage. A pile of rubble has fallen to the ground here, from the walls around
  8. you. Erupting from the ground and engulfed by a funnel of sand and stray earth, a lesser, clay statue of a wyrm thrusts upwards, an ebon egg clutched in its
  9. maw. There are 2 monolith sigils here. Examining the surroundings with a perpetual sneer, a callous Praenomen vampire slouches here. A massive golem made of clay stands here. Prince Infin Quintus-Lunare is here. He wields a sandstone crozier in his left hand and a black buckler of House Lunare in his right. Seething with the raw power of the earth, Ivoln, the Earthen Lord is manifest before you. Domini Shinji Bouchard, The Platinum Dragon is here. He wields an elegant crozier in his left hand and a menacing flail in his right.
  10. You see a single exit leading northeast.
  11.
  12. Domini Shinji Bouchard, The Platinum Dragon says to Prince Infin Quintus-Lunare, "We disabled the magic on that."
  13.
  14. Infin nods his head emphatically.
  15.
  16. Domini Shinji Bouchard, The Platinum Dragon says to Prince Infin Quintus-Lunare, "It is filled with lava after all."
  17.
  18. You perform a graceful curtsey towards Ivoln.
  19.
  20. He is an Immortal man of tattered flesh and weathered stone. Patches of withered flesh have peeled away from the Earthen Lord's visage, leaving the ancient bone beneath pitted and worn by the scouring sands. Sharpened, yellowed teeth are surmounted by a blunted, fleshless nose where two gashes have been
  21. incised into the very bone. A single pinpoint of blazing light, harsh and unblinking, leers outward from the left hollowed eye socket. A shattered helm
  22. of blackened iron and bone shields the head of the god, leaving the right side of his face shielded from further harm. Hammered pauldrons of bone rest heavily upon His shoulders, leaving a gaping chest cavity exposed beneath his tattered cloak and cowl. A dark heart of amber stone within pulses with the essence of the God, leaving little mystery to the source of His great power. He is wearing:
  23. a shattered bone helm
  24. a tattered cloak
  25.
  26. Ivoln nods His head at you.
  27.
  28. Ivoln, the Earthen Lord says, "With all that has occurred, it is difficult to say how the state of your current knowledge will continue to aid you as many of
  29. the Pillars have shattered."
  30.
  31. Shinji nods his head slowly, turning his crozier this way and that.
  32.
  33. Infin slowly sighs and looks up at Ivoln before nodding.
  34.
  35. Ivoln, the Earthen Lord says, "Are you prepared to forsake this knowledge and delve deeper into the teachings of the Earthen? The teachings of the Earthen are akin to My own, but there is more to the plane of earth than merely.. Me."
  36.
  37. Shinji stands straighter, "I do not fear knowledge, I will delve deeper without worry Father."
  38.
  39. Prince Infin Quintus-Lunare says to Ivoln, the Earthen Lord, "We are your loyal Sect, M'Lord we shall go where ever you take us."
  40.
  41. Shinji nods his head in agreement.
  42.
  43. You have emoted: Sarita glances briefly towards her golem and then crozier before lifting her eyes towards Ivoln once more. "If that is what You would
  44. have of us, we will follow."
  45.
  46. Ivoln, the Earthen Lord says, "Very well."
  47.
  48. Ivoln, the Earthen Lord says, "It is time you learned of the Pillars of the Earth, as best as I may teach you."
  49.
  50. Infin crouches down and looks up at Ivoln.
  51.
  52. Shinji breathes in sharply, his focus intent on Ivoln.
  53.
  54. The earth surges upwards around you, your vision blurring as you find yourseful elsewhere.
  55.
  56. Shinji looks around in wonder.
  57.
  58. Beneath the gaze of the Earthen Lords.
  59. Spanning high above into the abyssal firmament, a chthonic prison of the eldritch sorcerer-kings looms here as if an island amidst the ever-present darkness. Its very bones and rock-shod flesh have been bound to the unyielding earth, stripped away by the gnawing bite of time itself. The stone is akin to a dark, yellowed crystal found deep within the earth, and its once pristine face has been hewn with an ancient binding writ of blood and bone. Odd glimmer-lights flicker in and out of reality around the colossal pillar, shifting with each passing moment as if in eternal watch of the dead kings. The hard earth surrounding the pillar has been stamped flat and etched with imagery of the great earthen wyrms that fly amidst the Pillars of the Earth, while yet other images show the Earthen astride them in ancient battles long since passed. Earthwarden Uzgrol stands before the vast pillar here, its great hands outstretched before it in binding rite. A pillar of the Earthen sorcerer-kings looms high and spans far above into the vast abyss, casting a glooming luminescence upon the hallowed earth.
  60.
  61. Uzgrol gives a slight incline of his head to Ivoln. "Lord. It is good to see you are still walking amongst us," the Earthwarden intones in a low,
  62. reverberating rumble. "These are the Teradrim, then?"
  63.
  64. You have emoted: Sarita's eyes move slowly and cautiously around, taking in things at the ground level first, then rising high along the pillar.
  65.
  66. Shinji bows respectfully to Uzgrol.
  67.
  68. A monstrous priest of the Earthen, the Earthcaller Uzgrol looms high above its kindred as they only seem to meet the crystalline-shod shoulder. Timeworn hides hang in loose shreds from its hunched back; they were perhaps once prized, sought trophies of the great wyrms slain in Azvosh long ago with their yellowed bones sharply contrasting against the darkened stone. His eyes glow with a flickering golden light and within its body the great, crystalline heart pulses with life beneath the slab-like stones that create the Earthen's body. Uzgrol's body is otherwise unadorned, leaving only the hides as the shreds of clothing that bears as a mark of its strength and power amongst the priesthoods.
  69. Uzgrol is not one to be trifled with.
  70. He weighs about 1250 pound(s).
  71.
  72. Infin bows respectfully.
  73.
  74. You say to Uzgrol, "'tis a pleasure to meet you."
  75.
  76. Ivoln, the Earthen Lord says, "They are, Earthwarden. With the damage done to the Pillars, it is difficult to say how far My teachings shall go."
  77.
  78. Uzgrol gives a rumbling chuckle. "Your teachings, Lord, are interesting--but limited in their manner." The Earthwarden gives another respectful bow of his
  79. head. "What would you have me do? Teach them the ways of our order? The task that lies before them shall be vast."
  80. t
  81. Domini Shinji Bouchard, The Platinum Dragon says to Uzgrol, "Please do not doubt us, mortal we might be, but we have given all of ourselves to this."
  82.
  83. In a low voice, Ivoln, the Earthen Lord says, "The task of which he speaks is your binding to the Pillars. The binding that no Teradrim may escape."
  84.
  85. Infin nods to Ivoln, "Lord we have heard stories of the Pillars all of our life, stories of great strength...strength of the earth. We are your loyal
  86. servants and vow our lives to you and the Pillars."
  87.
  88. Domini Shinji Bouchard, The Platinum Dragon says to Ivoln, the Earthen Lord, "Father, we have already given ourselves to this fate, we cannot serve you or
  89. protect anything if our very powers betray us. If we must do this, then so be it.. so be it."
  90.
  91. Uzgrol says, in Earthen, "Would you take upon our teachings, then, Imperator?"
  92.
  93. Shinji digs in hand-like paws into the earth, lifting his muzzle showing no signs of fear.
  94.
  95. You have emoted: Sarita remains quiet, but nods slowly as the others speak. At Uzgrol's question, however, she directs her gaze towards him, changing her
  96. voice abruptly in her answer.
  97.
  98. You say, in Earthen, "I...We all shall."
  99.
  100. (Teradrim): Shinji says, "What is being said?"
  101.
  102. (Teradrim): You say, "A personal question."
  103.
  104. Uzgrol gives a rumbling laugh. "So be it. Blood shall be shed for us, and the Pillars shall become all the stronger because of it."
  105.
  106. You say, "We have all seen the damage wrought by their weakening now. I believe I speak for us all when I say that we will do all that is within our power to
  107. strengthen them once more."
  108.
  109. Infin looks over at Uzgrol and nods, "A stronger pure earth is the goal of every Teradrim."
  110.
  111. Shinji nods his head in agreement.
  112.
  113. Uzgrol flings his great arms outward to the Pillar. The Earthen Lord within groans as if in agony, its bindings aglow with a terrible power that leeches
  114. outward into Grumagh's crag-like hands. "We are the Masters of the Earth. We are the Wardens of the Abyss. The Earth calls to us, and so we call unto it.
  115. Azvosh calls to us!" Uzgrol slams a fist against his chest, giving a warcry of unending fury that reverberates across the abyssal expanse. One by one, in the
  116. distance, all the Pillars flare in power and a keening dirge issues forth from the depths.
  117.
  118. Looking slightly stunned, Shinji seems to be overcome with awe.
  119.
  120. A surge of eldritch magic erupts from the Earthen Grotto, sweeping outwards to descend upon all those touched by the power of the Earth.
  121.
  122. You have gained 3753 lessons as a result of losing the Teradrim class.
  123. Your active class has been switched to Newteradrim.
  124.
  125. Uzgrol rumbles unknown phrases that resonate with earthen power.
  126.
  127. You have emoted: Sarita looks shaken, but only for a moment. Steadying herself again, she says in a low, quiet voice, "Strength in Earth."
  128.
  129. Uzgrol gives a rumbling chuckle, his eyes flickering across the gathered audience. "You may learn from me, Earthen-kin."
  130.
  131. learn 60 terramancy from uzgrol
  132.
  133. The ground beneath Uzgrol begins to rumble as he prepares your lesson in Earth.
  134.
  135. Hand outstretched, Uzgrol demonstrates his mastery over Earth as he draws forth a flail made from stone. He slams the flail mightily into the ground, splitting the earth with the blow.
  136.
  137. "The Earth requires great strength to control and master," he explains, "And the flail is one of the few weapons brutal enough to hew apart stone with a
  138. practiced swing."
  139.
  140. Uzgrol lashes out at training dummy with several powerful blows, each one leaving its wooden limbs splintered and broken. "Blows from a flail are
  141. powerful enough to leave a foe's limbs easily broken and traumatized," he says, continuing to demonstate his proficiency with the weapon.
  142.
  143. "Masters can hew stone apart as if it were mere flesh and bone. It is hardly a wonder that the earth itself echoes with our strength." Uzgrol proceeds to
  144. demonstrate by slamming his hands in the ground; the strength of his blow sending a shockwave of power through the ground in a fretful quake.
  145.
  146. Uzgrol paints an intricate rune upon herself in gold ink, the rune glowing softly with ancient power. "These are runes of power, devised by the
  147. Earthcallers to link their strength ever closer to the Pillars of the Earth."
  148.
  149. Uzgrol kneels and places his hands upon the ground. As if on the command, the earth shifts and begins to travel up his arms to settle comfortably upon his
  150. body. He stands, his new Earthen form towering over you.
  151.
  152. "We stand as Earthen to increase our link with our creations, the golems, and to draw upon the strength of the Pillars of the Earth," Uzgrol's voice is a
  153. gravelly rumble that reverberates to your very core. "We are the jailers of the sorcerer-kings who once ruled over the Earthen. Now, their undying strength is our own."
  154.
  155. Uzgrol clenches a fist, his eyes alight as energy ripples across his stone-shod body with a crack of power. "The kings whisper to us for freedom, but they
  156. shall never know it."
  157.
  158. The stone rapidly separates from Uzgrol's body as he brings the lesson in Earth to an end.
