  1. [Overview]
  2. A specially based wallbreaker that can get past some common special walls.
  3. Decent Movepool, along with good mixed attacking stats.
  4. Less than stellar speed and bad defenses makes taking on offensive teams difficult.
  5. Has the right moves to threaten many Pokemon, but lackluster overall offenses make it a little on the weak side.
  6. [SET]
  7. name: Wallbreaker
  8. move 1: Hyper Voice
  9. move 2: Surf
  10. move 3: Fire Blast
  11. move 4: Low Kick
  12. item: Life Orb
  13. ability: Scrappy
  14. nature: Naive
  15. evs: 68 Atk / 252 SpA / 188 Spe
  16.
  17. [SET COMMENTS]
  18. Good coverage allows it to break past most defensive Pokemon.
  19. Surf hits Rock- and Ground-types harder
  20. Fire Blast hits steel-, grass-, and Ice-types hardest
  21. Low Kick is used mainly for Normal and dark-types
  22. Life orb is best to give freedom to switch moves and power Low Kick.
  23. EVs allow Exploud to outspeed Modest Ludicolo. SpA is maxed out for maximum power and the rest is put in Atk to guarantee a 2HKO on Lickilicky and Regice with Low Kick.
  24. [ADDITIONAL COMMENTS]
  25. Hammer Arm is viable over Low Kick if you want to hit Zweilous, Miltank, and Audino harder, but Speed drop means that it loses to Miltank regardless.
  26. Good teammates are ones that appreciate the removal of physical walls, so pokemon like Primape, Golurk, and Samurott are good choices. Fighting-types such as Sawk enjoy the removal of physical walls such as misdreavus and weezing.
  27. Something to take on Fighting-types is very helpful, especially the likes of Musharna and Gardevoir. Musharna can also provide useful paralysis support.
  28. Misdreavus is another good partner, as it can switch in on fighting-type attacks aimed at Exploud, and can burn them. Misdreavus can also spinblock, so that spikes and SR aren't spun away.
  29. Exploud really apreciates entry hazards to score some extra kills. Spikes is arguably more useful thank SR, as it lets Exploud score KO's on Golurk, Bastiodon, Alomomola, and others on the switch in. SR is still useful for taking out Misdreavus, Lickilicky, and Torkoal. Scoliopede and Roselia are good Spikers, while bulky pokemon such as Golurk and Seismitoad are good for setting up SR. Scoliopede in particular appreciates Exploud's wallbreaking skills.
  30. [Other Options]
  31. Fairly decent movepool, with stuff like Shadow Ball, Extrasensory, Icy Wind, but options listed are usually the best.
  32. Expert Belt could be used to bluff choice, but the power drop is highly noticeable
  33. Soundproof gives it a great place on baton pass teams, as it can't be stopped by roar or perish song, but otherwise Exploud really doesn't have to worry about these moves.
  34. Taunt can be used to stop pokemon from setting up on Exploud and makes Exploud useable as an anti-lead.
  35. [Checks and Counters]
  36. Fast, strong pokemon such as Primeape, Braviary, and Jynx can easily revenge kill it.
  37. Fighting-types in general are great checks, although they can't always switch in easily.
  38. Gurdurr is bulky enough to tank hits from Hyper Voiceand Drain Punch/Mach Punch back.
  39. Specially Defensive Altaria can take multiple hits and Toxic or Dragon Pulse it.
  40. It is relatively frail and gets destroyed by most offensive Pokemon
  41. Exploud is not that powerful, so many Pokemon can simply take a hit and retaliate back.
