Chapter 1, The fox and the Dragon
A navy wyvern wearing jeans and a dark green sweater is walking down the street on a cloudless summer night. He hears the sounds of three people fighting, two men and one woman. "Leave me alone!" The woman shrieks. "Hehyah, lookit her, she can't do a thing about us!" One brute laughs. "Why not play a little, foxy?" The other brute says while grinning evilly. A shadowy figure appears out of nowhere and delivers swift punches square in the head of the criminals, knocking them out quickly. The figure turns around to the woman. The woman happy that she was saved says, "T-thank you so much! I wouldn't have ever been able to fight them off. My name's Shara. What's yours?" The wyvern quietly says one word, "...Surge..." And then he walks away. "H-hey! Wait up!" Shara quickly follows behind Surge. "I want to get you something for getting me out of that mess. Why don't I get you a coffee?" Surge quietly declines, "Sorry, but no.." Shara offers something a little bigger, "At least let me buy you dinner." Surge shrugs, "I prefer my own cooking. Not someone else's." Surge walks a little faster. The pink fox isn't going to back down on getting something to thank Surge, "A new smart phone just came out, I'll get that for you!" Surge declines again. "I like the phone I have." Shara, finally having enough of Surge's shenanigans, offers something Surge wasn't expecting. "You know what, I'll sleep with you tonight!" Surge stops walking and turns around, his eye colour change's from a green to a blue, and quietly talks, "I-I'm not interested in sleeping with women. But I appreciate everything you're offering me." Shara stares at Surge with disbelief from learning that the wyvern was a homosexual, Surge turns around and walks away.
Around a half hour after Surge walked away from Shara... "How--why would someone as cool and dreamy as him be GAY?!" Shara wonders this as she walks the dark streets. The pink fox hears whispering in an alley, and she  walks stealthily closer to the whispering noises. "We'll make sure that damn dragon won't mess with us again. We caught a fine fox for ourselves then he appears and knocks us out before we even saw him. The police won't see his body when we're done with it!" The brute growls. "Heh, I'll do whatever you say, boss!" The other brute proudly says. Shara, instantly knows who they plan on hurting, starts looking for Surge frantically. "Heh, there he is, boss!" The brute points to Surge, who's walking out in the moonlight. "Let's get him!" The other brute says, and the two criminals ambush Surge while he's let his guard down, the smaller brute restrains Surge. The bigger brute begins whaling on Surge, punching into his stomach with tremendous force. "Glk...!" The wyvern can't take much more of this. "Haha! Think you're so tough now, you little dwagon?" The brute continues to punch hard into Surge. Shara, watching in horror as Surge is being attacked, gets an idea, "Wait, I bought a hammer earlier for a friend who's making renovations on his house.." The pink fox rummages through her purse for the hammer, and pulls it out. "Ahah! Got it!" Shara sprints from behind, evading the detection of the brutes, and strikes the criminal restraining Surge in the side, shattering a rib, and then collapses, releasing grip on Surge. Surge collapses from the strikes to his stomach. "Take this, you creep!" Shara swings the hammer into the side of the other brute, shattering a few of his ribs, and he collapses to the ground. Shara grabs Surge's claw, "Surge, let's get outta here!" And she pulls Surge to his feet, and the two flee the scene.
"Heh, you showed up at the right time, Shara." Surge happily exclaimed. "Well, its one way for me to thank you.." Shara says as she looks away slightly nervously. Surge suddenly changes the subject, "Hey, have you got a place to stay for the night?". Shara replies, "No, I don't.. I'm just a visitor to this city." Surge happily smiles at Shara, "You can stay at my place for the night, I have a spare room that I never use, it's always clean, and there's a small television if you wan to watch TV." Shara's face brightens, "Wait, really? I can stay at your place for the night? Thank you so much, Surge!" Surge happily replies, "Yep! It's no problem. Anyways, let's get going before it gets even later." The two head for Surge's house just outside of the city.
