  1. Ideas for quest areas
  2. -Farm/Ranch: Large, open ranch with a farmhouse, possibly huge wheat fields and a barn. Mareep family, Numel family, Ponyta family, Miltank, Tauros. Dog/Cat pokemon might also be found here. Lots of grass/bug types and agricultural pests, possibly.
  3. -Migrations: Events where rare, endangered pokemon species are sighted migrating in large herds, and trainers are advised to not HUNT DOWN AND SLAUGHTER EVERY LAST ONE OF THESE RARE AND BEAUTIFUL CREATURES FOR GLORIOUS LOOT. No really. Don't. Please?
  4. -Pokemon Tower: Haunted graveyard tower a la Lavender Town. Alternatively, Mt. Pyre. Obviously, lots of Ghost pokemon--probably just Gastly and Litwick families for now. Would be great for ghast tears (and torches).
  5. -Power Plant: Abandoned industrial power plant. Likely would use a lot of iron. Would have a lot of electric and steel types. Probably one of the best places for grinding aluminum, iron, redstone, glowstone, and gunpowder. Spider eyes too, oddly enough-- Joltiks that live in cities have apparently learned to suck power out of electrical sockets, so it wouldn't be too farfetch'd to find them around power plants.

  7. {{Things That Will Probably Be Sought-After}}
  8. -Bones: Cubone family, Bastiodon, Mamoswine, Piloswine, and Walrein. <<Notes- The Cubone family has the highest chance of dropping bones. Marowak are also canonically very ferocious and savage.>>
  9. -Diamonds: Boldore, Dragonair, Dratini, Gigalith, and Sableye.
  10. -Glowstone Dust: Chinchou family, Electabuzz family, Joltik family, Magnemite family, Mareep family, Pikachu family, Shinx family, Emolga, Jolteon, Minun, Plusle, and Zapdos. <<Notes- Pikachu, Emolga, Minun, and Plusle, as Pokemon based on rats/mice/squirrels, would make believable pests. Alternatively, Iron farms using Magnemite could double as Glowstone farms.>>
  11. -Gold Nuggets: Dwebble family, Geodude family, Rhyhorn family, Roggengola family, and Meowth family. <<Notes- The Meowth family has the highest chance of dropping gold nuggets. As cats, there could be a parallel with real-life feral pet problems.>>
  12. -Iron Ingots: Aron family, Klink family, Magnemite family, Pawniard family, Empoleon, and Scizor. <<Notes- Arons are canonically considered termites for metal, but Sturdy is a bitch for grinding. Klink and Magnemite families easily fit as industrial pests.>>
  13. -Redstone: Beldum family, Electabuzz family, Joltik family, Klink family, Magnemite family, Mareep family, Pikachu family, Porygon family, Shinx family, Emolga, Jolteon, Minun, Plusle, and Zapdos. <<Notes- Klink or Mareep would work well, depending on the setting. Otherwise, see Glowstone.>>
  14.
  15. {{Things That Aren't Really Needed Very Often Or In Large Amounts But Is A Pain To Mine/Find/Grind/Grow When It Is}}
  16. -Aluminum Ingots: See Iron Ingots.
  17. -Coal: Onyx.
  18. -End Stone: Aron family, Dwebble family, Geodude family, Rhyhorn family, Roggenrola family, Cranidos, Lunatone, Onix, and Solrock. <<Notes- Unfortunately, absolutely zero percent of all the pokemon that drop End Stone drop it at a higher rate than 1%. Not really worth bothering with, tbh, but here it is.>>
  19. -Ghast Tears: Gastly family and Sableye.
  20. -Gunpowder: Geodude family, Koffing family, and Voltorb family. <<Notes- The Voltorb family is probably the best option. Saying they'd be industrial pests would be a bit of an understatement-- Voltorb outbreaks would probably be a big cause for panic in the Pokemon world.>>
  21. -Ice: Piplup family, Seel family, Shellder family, Spheal family, Swinub family, Articuno, Cryogonal, and Lapras.
  22. -Ink Sacs: Tentacool family.
  23. -Lapis Lazuli: Lapras. <<Notes- You know, this is probably why Lapras became endangered. Bitches gotta have their deep royal blue.>>
  24. -Leather: Miltank and Tauros.
  25. -Lily Pads: Poliwag family.
  26. -Nether Quartz: See End Stone. <<Notes- Unlike End Stone, the fixed rate for Nether Quartz drops is 10%. Still not really worth it.>>
  27. -Nether Wart: Paras family.
  28. -Slimeballs: Grimer family and Solosis family. <<Notes- Grimer are pretty obvious urban pests, but they'd be a real problem if they leaked out into the countryside, what with making everything they slither across completely unlivable for the rest of time. Although I imagine that might be a bit of an exaggeration.>>
  29. -Snow: See Ice.
  30. -Spider Eyes: Joltik family. <<Notes- No really. The Spinarak family does not drop spider eyes. Yeah, I think it's pretty stupid too.>>
  31.
  32. {{Things That Are Neither Sought-After Nor Particularly Hard To Get, But Gathering Large Amounts Would Probably Cause Eyesores}}
  33. -Clay: Diglett family, Mudkip family, and Sigilyph. <<Notes- Diglett would probably be agricultural pests, since they're based on moles.>>
  34. -Cobblestone:
  35. -Dirt:
  36. -Netherrack:
  37. -Sand:
  38. -Snowballs: See Snow.
  39. -Soul Sand:
  40. -Stone:
  41.
  42. {{Unique}}
  43. -Lava Bucket: Use a bucket on Camerupt.
  44. -Milk: Use a bucket on Miltank.
  45. -Wool: Use Shears on Mareep.
  46.
  47. Economical Pokemon (Pokemon that have a high chance of dropping two or more different types of very useful items):
  48. Klink family- Aluminum Ingot (50%), Iron Ingot (40%), Redstone (60%)
  49. Magnemite family- Aluminum Ingot (50%), Glowstone Dust (40%), Iron Ingot (40%), Redstone (60%)
