  1.
  2. Following part assuming it's about
  3.
  4. Way more important is the frapsing part, i.E.
  5.
  6. Clean up your HUD, literally 95% of evevids are distorted with a terrible review-HUD, got windows open that really no one needs (like people frapsing with half their screen in chatboxes, that's an aesthetical nogo) or got stuff arranged so terribly it's hard to follow the action.
  7.
  8. So hide all your windows, open local, dscan, overview and WATCHLIST. Watchist who you are flying with, if any. It's two clicks and adds so much. If you feel you need to hide boxes afterall, do so in a decent manner, i.E. don't use half your screen for bookmarks cause you're so 1337 and afterwards black out the left side <.< Seen those mistakes a lot. Also, fraps in either 1920*1080 or 1920*1200, both work with a little adjustment to the latter. Use camera shake under options if you want awesome graphics. You'll die eventually to that feauture though, as it makes clicking things while leaving warp sheer impossible.

  10. To the edit: People want to know one thing in advance and two things for the most part:
  11.
  12. in advance, you should precisely describe how you got that fight, or why you took that bait.... precisely doesn't mean *in detail*, but short and to-the-essentials.
  13. a) what you are flying, and with whom, which drugs and which links you are running (transparency)
  14. b) who you are engaging. This can mean a ticker, the shiptype or the pilot's name and his ship. Like *my rocketing hawk vs. his shitty jag*, or *me and my brosefs in ishtars/celestis against those 4 goontengus and their 200man rifterwing*
  15.
  16.
  17. When you paint a blackbox somewhere to place infotext (as in titles) on it, 95-98% opacity is enough to not make it go full black, looks a lot nicer as backgrounds still are moving below, looking less artificial. Still do though. Your fonttype is important. It should be the most normal, well readable (and elegant) you find. Means: Yes to arial, No to freaky artworkfonttypes in curves and circles.
  18.
  19. Hope that gives a good first opinion to use for general orientation.
  20.
  21. Also use as little effects as possible, especially when starting - there is a thin line between just right and *OOHHHMMMMGGG sparkleparty*, and you're mostly doomed to cross it accidentaly.
