I am a super saiyan

He couldn't move, it felt like every bone in his body had broken. 'Is this it?' he thought. He'd fought so hard, had tried his absolute best. It just wasn't enough. 'it's never enough...' his hands began curling into fists as he lay on the ground.

"Had to hand it to you." he heard a voice. "never would have thought to look for you on this backwater." he heard two more of them land a bit further away.

"C'mon, just kill him and get it over with already." he heard one of them speak.

All other talk was drowned out by the sound of an explosion.

"Ha ha! That's his shitty little lab gone. I love this job." he heard another one of them boast after the ensuing explsoion.

'My lab... my work...' He began rising, feeling a burning in his gut. A fire.

"So who gets to off him? You got the last one." one of them spoke.

'Ingrates...' The fire rose to his chest, it felt like it was going to consume him.

"So what, you got the one before that!" the other shouted back.

'Fools...' He put a hand on his knee, to straighten himself and to help hoist himself up.

The normally sunny sky of the agrarian world he made home began to darken. All the while he felt that fire building, burning even brighter.

"Uh, guys, do you see this?" one asked. The others immediately told him to shut up. "We're talking here!"

'I'll kill you for that.' He was on his feet now, his hands were shaking with an unknown feeling, his clenched fists trembling as if cold. Harsh winds began buffeting the plains they were standing on, finally catching the attention of the aliens sent to kill him.

"W-what's going on, what is this?" Lightning cracked, and he finally understood what he felt. It was rage.

"S-sayain, are you doing this? Stop!" Suddenly, he felt all that fire condense into a single ball of burning hatred and he knew what he had to do.

He screamed.

All around him the world went bright white as a massive unleashing of energy scoured the terrain around him, forming a crater emanating from where he stood. As colour returned to his world he no longer felt as tired as he once was, as hurt, he turned around to see his killers.

One of them was dead, his body a smoking mess on the ground, another was staring fearfully at the golden aura and hair as the green eyes of the saiyan glared at him.The last was bent over clutching the stump of his arm, it had been incinerated along with most of his armour.

"What are.. What are you!" screeched the one on the ground.

A new feeling was making its way to his brain, one he knew all to well, it was gnawing at him after using so much energy.

"Hungry." Targos told him. He raised his hand and began gathering energy to kill them.
