Just to clarify, in case you have heard news reports: I have NOT announced my candidacy or made a final decision regarding running for Mayor.

Given the short 2 week timeline to complete the signature gathering etc., I did the orientation today and received nomination papers from the city clerk's office. The city clerk alerted the media that several people met with her staff today, and these TV stations talked with me as a result of the Clerk's announcement.

I will continue to meet with supporters over the weekend to consider various options before reaching a final decision.
