  1. 1.) Have you had any prior experience as staff on SBC and/or another forum? If so, what did you do as staff?
  2.
  3. 1. I've had many years of forum experience that could very well be used to help around the boards. Back in my tv.com days I served as editor of several show guides and during that time I did my best to stop spam and keep the boards in order. It was a good experience, one that I still remember fondly to this day. I was also a moderator of the Gaming Mayhem and Television Galaxy forums, in those forums I was always ordered to prevent fights, something that I exceeded in. Not to mention, I had the trust of the head admins of those websites. They would occasionally praise me for my good work in keeping things in order. I feel like I can contribute that experience to SBC in helping out in the best way I can.
  4.
  5. 2.) Why do you think you should be chosen as a mod? What makes you special and different from the many other users applying?
  6.
  7. 2. I feel like I have the capacity to bring great things to the table, mostly in helping out with projects and in keeping everything in order. I've always been known as a responsible and impartial person whom you can always rely on even on the most difficult of situations. I've also reported many posts that have disobeyed the rules over the years, and that has avoided many conflicts within the site, mostly with ban dodgers and trolls. As a mod, I will never allow mischievous users to do what they want on the site, I will ensure they follow the rules as they were written.
  8.
  9. 3.) Are there any reasons you may not make a good mod? How would you improve on these reasons? Everyone has flaws, whether they want to admit it or not. Do not think this will hurt your app, as we want you to improve upon these flaws.
  10.
  11. 3. There aren't many reasons to think I wouldn't be a good mod since I have the experience to prove my efforts. I was known to be strict on several situations, but at the end of the day I was friendly with everyone.
  12.
  13. 4.) How active are you currently on SBC? Would that activity level stay the same, get worse, or improve if you are chosen?
  14.
  15. 4. I'm very active on the boards and have plenty of free time to dedicate to them. I've been an active member for a number of years and I know that I can dedicate my time to serve the forums. I'm on during the day and night and I frequently surf the boards trying to read everything that I can find including inappropriate comments that I tend to report to the staff.
  16.
  17. 5.) Would you be committed and dedicated to the position? This means trying to login at least every day, checking reports, patrolling over the forums, and participating in staff discussions.
  18.
  19. 5. Absolutely. As I've shown before, including during my time as a Representative. I always participated in staff discussions and never missed the deadline for projects. I would dedicate my time in making sure I do my job the right way, this includes participating in meetings and discussing projects that contribute to SBC.
  20.
  21. 6.) Would you be levelheaded, unbiased, and fair with punishments to ALL members? This means no playing favorites, and may mean you will have to punish a friend or well liked member. If you have a bias, how would you plan to fix it?
  22.
  23. 6. I will be completely unbiased, when it comes to an inappropriate action by a member I will always take action and not let them get away with such actions. I'm a very impartial person and as such I never allow those who are seeking to harm the site get away with disobeying the rules that were imposed on the community.
  24.
  25. 7.) Would you make sure everyone on SBC is treated equally, including users you may not like or know personally?
  26.
  27. 7. Its always important to make sure everyone gets along in harmony without any conflicts or disputes. I've always been a person who treats everyone nicely and tries to speak to everyone without trouble. I wouldn't go by groups or play favorites, for me everyone must have a voice in the forum regardless of their views on a certain topic or their relationship with fellow members.
  28.
  29. 8.) Do you have any issues with this site (design, staff, features, etc.), and if so, what would you suggest, or do, to fix them as a mod?
  30.
  31. 8. I think the forum is very balanced at the moment but I can fairly say that clearing up some bugs and keeping the boards in order could help push the community forward. We could use some more game features similar to the old skin but also we could give SpongeCraft a bigger role since its proven to be very successful, with it we can keep during tournaments and perhaps we can make it one of our main pillars. I've always seen SBC's success in that and we could expand on that project.
  32.
  33. 9.) Have you had a controversial past with SBC and/or other sites (past punishments, drama, etc.)? If so, what would you do to personally make sure members forget about them? This is not to embarrass you, like question 3, we want this to be a way for you to improve. Nobody is perfect. If you truly think you have a spotless record, then you can ignore this question.
  34.
  35. 9. I haven't had any conflicts with members on the site since I tend to respect the rules and get along with everyone. But in the past I've been accused on not wanting change, today I can fairly say that I accept and tolerate change as long as its for the best. I will respect any decision made by the staff regardless. Change is a crucial decision on any community and i'll make sure I do my best to prove i'm worthy of keeping the promise of making this a stable community.
  36.
  37. 10.) What ideas would you personally bring to the table for SBC’s staff, regarding forum events, features, skins, or just the site in general? This doesn't mean we will use them for certain if you are accepted, but we want to know what innovation you plan to offer.
  38.
  39. 10. We could use more forum events, like trivias and tournaments. Not just the seasonal events we hold every year but also events that users can organize with the support of the staff. In my opinion, that will give the site more variety and more creativity. The events can be forum games or based on debates on certain topics. Not to mention, they can also be Spongecraft tournaments organized for certain purposes, something we can improve on.
  40.
  41. 11.) User A and User B get into an argument in an episode discussion topic over a difference of opinions, which starts off as a simple debate but starts slowly evolving into something more. How would you personally handle it if it gets out of control?
  42.
  43. 11. I would interrogate both members and ask them to keep debating the topic in a respectful way. I will not tolerate fights or insults between users, people who behave in an inappropriate way will receive a warning and will be on a watch list if another fight occurs. If I need to take drastic actions then the thread will be locked until things have settled down after calling the users into question.
  44.
  45. 12.) Have you made any professional graphics for another website (banners, skins, etc.)? If so, provide examples of your work. If not, please ignore this question.
  46.
  47. 12. While i'm not the best when it comes to graphics, I once made a banner for a forum I was in. It took sometime to make but it worked out in the end.
