  1. Verdant's addendum to Karma's void meditation guide
  2.
  3. this paste is based off of an epiphany I had recently during a meditation session, and is aimed at those who are having a hard time understanding just what-in-the-name-of-crap-is-he-going-on-about-this in regards to karma's void meditation guide.
  4.
  5. Keep in mind, this is my understanding of just how such a technique works, and even then it still may be hard to understand, but I'll try to explain it concisely.
  6.
  7. be sure to read the guide first:

  10. -=calming your mind=-
  11.
  12. In the void Meditation guide, thoughts are released by watching them slip into the void, this can be achieved figuratively but yet at the same time can be literal.
  13.
  14. if you get deep enough within your trance, you should be able to actually see sequences as they play out in the "void" of visual noise, if you cannot see them, you can still use this method with your imagination, visualize it.
  15.
  16. Say for example, you remember that one scene and/or song from a certain movie, when deep enough in a trance and/or through visualization, you should be able to see that sequence play out in front of your eyes, it's OK if the sequence is clear as day or hazy, just watch the sequence and watch it fade into the nothingness in front of you.
  17.
  18. -=reflexes=-
  19.
  20. physical reflexes can be one of the most irritating things to deal with subconsciously, results will be different for anyone but for me it's a difficult thing to deal with.
  21.
  22. reflexes are tricky, but you can "phase them out" in almost the exact same way that sequences with a visual aspect are "phased into the void". This can be done by associating that thought with something visual, say your reflex you are having trouble with, is an urge to move, so you visualize a balloon or a bubble with the words "urge to move" written on it, or just the text itself, and watch it phase into the void.
  23.
  24. alternatively, you could visualize that part of the body during it's state of reflex, and watch that fall into the void.
  25.
  26. -=summary=-
  27.
  28. all in all, I've found that the whole "watch things falling into the void" it's not quite the hyperbole that it initially was, this is my experience, and I hope you'll learn from yours too.
