- Just because the service provided does not fit YOUR needs does not mean it's shit. It is simply meant for someone else than You.
- Never said it did.
- Autodl irssi: It actually worked flawlessly on the "outdated debian 7" and "outdated rutorrent 3.4", if you knew how to install the scripts. That was all that was required. It's actually very simple, and google search yielded instruction on top 3, copy & paste, and you'd be done.
- Then why was one of your paying users in the autodl-community IRC upset that you would not assist them in installing autodl in any way -- despite them opening tickets and joining your IRC?
- We do not advertise support for it anywhere, and we do not promise support for it. and your behavior is exactly the reason why it's not supported out of the box.
- My behavior? The assumption that one of the most common torrenting tools used on a seedbox would run on a managed seedbox?
- Supporting every single use case will only result in something bloated shitware which most of the time does not work but costs twice as much.
- Ok, so why not support the most common, like autodl-community?
- Not everything new and shiny is better.
- You are right -- but it is better if it actually has major bug fixes, and will run autodl.
- I would appreciate if you'd stop this insinuating BS just because of our service does not fit your taste.
- This is not about my taste. It's about the joke of a service you spam this subreddit with and the customers that have to go get support because you won't provide them the support they pay for.
- PS. When SUDO/Root access was included, less than 1/10th of our customers actually requested that, and from those less than half actually needed it. If you need SUDO/Root access there is normal dedicated service at adjusted cost to reflect the extra support required.
- Ok.... so what?
