We were allowed to spend some time in town. Despite the cold, I find Ayiza a pretty lovely place. I explored the market a little and found some magic rings I REALLY want, but can’t afford. Maybe they’ll lower the price after this test if we pass. Probably not, but a girl can hope. I also ended up running into Brook at a tavern, who happened to be playing some music to the patrons. After a drink, I couldn’t help it. Music, ale, a tavern full of onlookers? I had to dance.
I haven’t had that much fun in, well I don’t even know how long. I spent a few hours just twirling and spinning and gyrating and bouncing. All those onlookers made my blood pump and race. They were throwing money at us, and we bought rounds for the whole bar, and it was wild and just fun. It was a night without blood and swords and things trying to kill us. I miss this life. I miss home.
