  1. 01[22:07] <Toko> [Toko Zeppeli... about 5'2, age 20, with a short blonde hair and grey eyes a sign of her mixed heritage. Her body is by no means unattractive, though her curves are somewhat concealed by the red hoodie she constantly wears. Other features are stud earrings, a small silver heart-shaped pendant, blue jeans, and the guitar-case she slings around.]
  2. 01[22:17] <Toko> [She walks into a bar in a harauku back alley, staring at the paper with an address scrawled across it that she had foun in her mail this morning. Under it, the time of 7pm had been underlined. Curious, she had come, but nobody immediately seems to leap out as her as the writer. Sitting at an empty table, she lays the guitar in a seat next to her and orders a kahlua milk.]
  3. 01[22:23] <Toko> [Not harajuku then. Just, somewhere]
  4. [22:24] <GM-armband-kiri> [the bar is pretty much deserted. with just you and the master.]
  5. 03[22:24] * Assistant_Narrator is now known as Hiroki
  6. [22:25] <GM-armband-kiri> [a soft tune of "Hotel California" fills the place.]
  7. 06[22:26] * Hiroki is cleaning up the glasses, but goes to make the cocktail.
  8. 06[22:27] * Hiroki slides it over to her once it's mixed.
  9. 01[22:27] <Toko> Thanks.
  10. 06[22:27] * Toko sips.
  11. 01[22:28] <Toko> ...DId anyone tell you anything?
  12. 06[22:28] * Hiroki is already back to rinsing glasses.
  13. [22:29] <Hiroki> ...They might have.
  14. 06[22:29] * Hiroki looks her over out of the corner of his eye.
  15. [22:29] <Hiroki> How soon ya need to go?
  16. 06[22:29] * Hiroki asks quietly.
  17. 01[22:30] <Toko> My schedule's pretty free.
  18. 06[22:31] * Hiroki just nods, and finishes wiping down the last glass. He begins dropping the blinds, and flips over the Open/Closed sign on the front door.
  19. 01[22:32] <Toko> Did you send that note then?
  20. 06[22:33] * Hiroki locks the door, and then goes behind the counter to grab a few things.
  21. [22:33] <Hiroki> Note?
  22. 06[22:35] * Hiroki shakes his head.
  23. [22:36] <Hiroki> I'm just a mover.
  24. 01[22:37] <Toko> I see. Do you know where this mystery peson is, then?
  25. [22:39] <Hiroki> The lady who paid me for this? Not a clue
  26. 06[22:40] * Toko sighs and takes a larger gulp.
  27. [22:42] <Hiroki> I can't even hint that I could tell you more about her for a little something extra.
  28. 06[22:42] * Hiroki looks a little disappointed about this.
  29. [22:43] <Hiroki> There isn't much to tell worth telling other than "lots of black, paid up front."
  30. [22:44] <Hiroki> It's sad when even bribery yields nothing good.
  31. 06[22:44] * Hiroki sighs, and then switches off the jukebox.
  32. [22:45] <Hiroki> You about ready, miss?
  33. 01[22:45] <Toko> I don't even know what I'm supposed to be ready for. Other than that, ready as I'll ever be.
  34. [22:45] <Hiroki> I can whip you up another, but only the first drink was paid for.
  35. [22:45] <Hiroki> All right, then.
  36. 06[22:47] * Hiroki shuts off the last of the lights, and leads Toko out the back, where his car is parked. It's a boring-looking, completely forgettable little car... Perfect for the sorts of jobs he needs to run, now and then.
  37. 06[22:48] * Toko keeps silent, waiting for business tget don.
  38. 06[22:49] * Hiroki opens the back door for her.
  39. 06[22:49] * Toko gets in.
  40. [22:49] <Hiroki> [=-= back door of the car]
  41. 01[22:50] <Toko> Is this thing completely safe.
  42. [22:52] <Hiroki> I wouldn't drive a deathtrap to work every day.
  43. 06[22:52] * Hiroki chuckles, then closes her door and opens the driver's door and climbs in.
  44. [22:53] <Hiroki> Buckle up, you might just need it.
  45. 06[22:54] * Hiroki does so as well, then starts the car up, and backs out of the alley into a store's parking lot, then drives out, and soon gets onto a main road.
  46. 06[22:55] * Toko buckles.
  47. 01[22:57] <Toko> Where to now?
  48. 01[22:57] <Toko> I don't usually like being taken to places I don't know.
  49. [22:59] <GM-armband-kiri> [You can remember the letter's title. It was written with a fountain pen in a beautiful handwriting, said "I need you.", and an address of the bar. You can see the title being erased by a liquid paper before. The old one (That gets deleted) reads "You win an iPad!".]
  50. [23:00] <Hiroki> To a magical land of mysteries and candy.
  51. [23:00] <Hiroki> ...no, not really.
  52. [23:01] <Hiroki> But you're to get there safe and sound.
  53. [23:01] <Hiroki> You have my word on that.
  54. 01[23:02] <Toko> How much is your word worth?
  55. 06[23:02] * Hiroki turns onto a main arterial, which they head down for a long ways.
  56. [23:04] <Hiroki> Enough to keep me in business, apparently.
  57. [23:04] <Hiroki> ...Or maybe that's my reputation.
  58. 01[23:05] <Toko> That's promising.
  59. [23:05] <Hiroki> Oh, relax. If I wanted to do horrible things to you, I'd have spiked the drink.
  60. [23:06] <Hiroki> ...Which I didn't.
  61. 01[23:06] <Toko> True enough.
  62. 06[23:06] * Hiroki figure that while that follow-up might be kind of obvious for most, it might not be for this girl.
  63. 06[23:08] * Hiroki turns off the arterial into a light industrial district: Lots of outlet stores and warehouses, and small production businesses.
  64. 06[23:09] * Toko stares out the window, a bit bored.
  65. 06[23:12] * Hiroki pulls up to a warehouse, in a back corner of one such development.
  66. [23:12] <GM-armband-kiri> [the light is out. and the place looks deserted.]
  67. 06[23:13] * Hiroki comes to a stop in front of it, and frowns. He double-checks the address, but no, that seems right.
  68. [23:13] <Hiroki> ...Huh.
  69. 01[23:13] <Toko> Problem?
  70. [23:13] <Hiroki> Well, this is the place, it seems.
  71. 06[23:14] * Hiroki gets out and lets Toko out as well.
  72. 06[23:14] * Toko gets out.
  73. 01[23:14] <Toko> So, what now?
  74. [23:15] <Hiroki> ...I'm to let you in, apparently.
  75. 06[23:15] * Toko explicitly still has her guitar case.
  76. 06[23:15] * Hiroki doesn't like the sound of this.
  77. 06[23:15] * Hiroki lowers his voice.
  78. [23:16] <GM-armband-kiri> [there's no sound. no wind. no sign of life.]
  79. [23:16] <Hiroki> 14...You want me to stick around for a few minutes; keep the engine running?
  80. 01[23:17] <Toko> 14Might be a good idea.
  81. 06[23:19] * Hiroki nods, and goes to the front door, checking to see if it's locked or not.
  82. [23:20] <GM-armband-kiri> [the dor is not locked.]
  83. 06[23:21] * Hiroki opens it and holds it open for her.
  84. 06[23:21] * Toko shrugs and goes inside.
  85. [23:21] <GM-armband-kiri> [SUDDENLY]
  86. [23:21] <Hiroki> I honestly have no idea what this shit is about. Be careful.
  87. 06[23:22] * Toko nods.
  88. [23:22] <GM-armband-kiri> [when Toko goes inside, the driver guy disappears. He was holding the door just a second ago, but now HE IS NO LONGER THERE]
  89. 01[23:22] <Toko> ...
  90. 06[23:22] * Toko is sorta freaked by this.
  91. [23:23] <GM-armband-kiri> "welcome."
  92. 06[23:23] * Toko spins to face the voice, dropping into a defensive crouch.
  93. [23:25] <GM-armband-kiri> [A girl in the wheelchair greets Toko. She's a pale girl with long straight black hair, dressed in gothloli style outfit. She got another person pushing her wheelchair around, the girl who dressed like a maid. Golden shortbob hair, with a glasses so think you can't see her eyes.]
  94. [23:25] <GM-armband-kiri> "Make yourself at home."
  95. 06[23:25] * Hiroki , assuming he was not an illusion or something this whole time, goes back out to the car, and waits, keeping a close eye on his surroundings.
  96. 06[23:25] * Toko straightens up. She hardly looks hostile.
  97. 01[23:26] <Toko> Are you the one who sent the note?
  98. 06[23:26] * Toko leans on her guitar case.
  99. [23:26] <GM-armband-kiri> [a round small table with soft drink appears. Or maybe it was there since the beginning. you can't tell.]
  100. [23:26] <GM-armband-kiri> "It is I, Mary-anne, indeed."
  101. 06[23:26] * Toko does a bit of a double-take, but conceals her surprise.
  102. [23:26] <GM-armband-kiri> [the maid girl haven't said anything yet.]
  103. 01[23:27] <Toko> Yo said you needed me, right? What for? I assume you didn't call me to rig lighting for this place.
  104. 01[23:27] <Toko> Though I could do things with this...
  105. 06[23:28] * Toko looks around.
  106. [23:28] <GM-armband-kiri> "Not at all. I can get my light anytime. Right, Anne-mary?"
  107. [23:28] <GM-armband-kiri> "..yes."
  108. [23:28] <GM-armband-kiri> [the maid, apparently named "Anne-mary", replied.]
  109. [23:29] <GM-armband-kiri> "I just want you to meet a certain person, who will shoot you with an arrow, and you may or may not die from it."
  110. [23:29] <GM-armband-kiri> [mary-anne say that with a straight face.]
  111. 01[23:29] <Toko> ...I don't really like the sound of that.

  113. [23:29] <GM-armband-kiri> [the goth girl gestures.]

  115. 01[23:30] <Toko> What is this, one of those weird-ass game shows? Lik Takeshi's Castle shit?
  116. [23:30] <GM-armband-kiri> [a sofa set is behind you. It might be there at the beginning, or it just appear out of thin air. you can't tell.]
  117. 06[23:30] * Toko isn't one to look a gift horse in the mouth. She sits back.
  118. [23:31] <GM-armband-kiri> "Not at all. I merely helping certain someone. he requested me to... um, 'keep you company' until he arrive."
  119. 01[23:32] <Toko> At the risk of wasting my extravagantly free time, could you explain more clearly?
  120. [23:32] <GM-armband-kiri> [She smiles a sadistic smile, unsuitable for her frail-looking face.]
  121. 01[23:32] <Toko> What exactly am I supposed to get out f being shot with an arrow?
  122. [23:32] <GM-armband-kiri> "Have you heard of this song, -hotel california-?"
  123. [23:33] <GM-armband-kiri> "that 'you can come in, but you can never leave'?"
  124. [23:33] <GM-armband-kiri> [she laughs.]

  127. [23:35] <GM-armband-kiri> "Anyway. Sit tight and get yourself shot. it will happen, no matter how hard you try to avoid it, so help me by being an obedient girl?"

  129. [23:36] <GM-armband-kiri> [she laughs again, even louder than last time.]

  133. 06[23:38] * Toko stands.

  135. 01[23:39] <Toko> That thing about fate again?
  136. [23:40] <GM-armband-kiri> "I'm not that cheesy, but yes. you can call that fate."
  137. [23:40] <GM-armband-kiri> "But I prefer word -strategy- more."
  138. 01[23:41] <Toko> Well, let's see how far that goes. I'm gonna walk out of that door and go home. You can go and watch me do it. Okay? Okay.
  139. 06[23:41] * Toko turns and walks toward the door.
  140. [23:42] <GM-armband-kiri> [Mary-anne just laughs hysterically like she is about to witness the stupidest thing ever.]
  141. [23:43] <GM-armband-kiri> [went through the door, only to find another side as the same room.
  142. [23:43] <GM-armband-kiri> ]

  144. 06[23:43] * Toko looks back through the door.
  145. [23:43] <GM-armband-kiri> [it is also the same room. Mary-anne is still there, laughing.]
  146. 01[23:44] <Toko> ...
  147. 06[23:44] * Toko points to the door.
  148. 01[23:44] <Toko> Hey, girlie. Your door is broken.
  149. [23:44] <GM-armband-kiri> "I told you it will be in vain. How stupid of you."
  150. [23:45] <GM-armband-kiri> [and Anne-mary sings.]
  151. [23:46] <GM-armband-kiri> "Last thing I remember, I was"
  152. [23:46] <GM-armband-kiri> "Running for the door"
  153. [23:46] <GM-armband-kiri> "I had to find the passage back"
  154. [23:46] <GM-armband-kiri> "To the place I was before"

  163. 06[23:48] * Toko walks over and kicks her i the chest.
  164. [23:50] <GM-armband-kiri> [somehow, it's Anne-mary who flew back a few meter and rolls on the floor, while Mary-anne is perfectly fine.]
