  1. Every one thousand years, on the island of Ghrom where the Amazons dwell, a male Amazon is born from the Birthing Well. In recorded history, only three male Amazons have been born, and each one would be the herald of war for the Amazons of Ghrom.
  2.
  3. The earliest male Amazon to be born was the hero Hiracles, who was smuggled from Ghrom to the island of Ithar by his mothers who could not bring themselves to kill their only child. On Ithar, he would exhibit his superhuman strength and nigh-immortality, able to shrug off viper bites and kill lions with a single punch. When he was older, he would ascend to the rank of Lord among the knights of the House of Bulls, leading the knightly house to war against his homeland in hopes of conquering it.
  4.
  5. Hiracles would fail in his conquest, struck down by Queen Aigle the Suntouched in single combat. It’s said he died standing up, his body turned to stone by strange magic. Legend states his petrified body is locked at the very bottom of the Tower of Arcath where he will one day reawaken to take Ghrom from the Amazons in the Age of the End.
  6.
  7. The second male Amazon was Aeron the Ironclad, who was raised in secret by his priestess mother Daphne. Aeron would learn the ways of warfare while locked away in his family’s abode, reading from manuscripts and books written by adherents to Arean, the Amazonian Goddess of War. His mind was filled with visions of conquest, seeing himself upon the marble throne of his Queen, where he would rule as the first King of the Amazons. He would run from home, heading north to the continent of Nohlferia to be given formal combat training. In the kingdom of Idvard, he would rise to be Captain of the Third Company, gaining the title of Ironclad. When he felt that he had enough power, he would lead his men south toward Ghrom to fulfill his visions.
  8.
  9. His conquest would go on for one hundred days and nights, the men of the north with their weapons of spellforged steel and advanced tactics clashed with the magic and sheer ferocious might of the Amazonian warriors. In the end, Aeron was captured by Amazonian assassins and was publicly executed so that all his soldiers knew his fate. Rumor has it that the person who was made to execute was his own mother.
  10.
  11. The third and current male Amazon out in the world is Adrastos the Wanderer, who is travelling the red deserts of Ithar, hoping to raise his own army of vicious sell-swords and mercenaries to conquer Ghrom, learning from the mistakes of his progenitors. They say Adrastos was the current Queen’s own son, exiled to the desert island with her lover Dorothea.
