  1. 02:03:06: <Strife> Hijack is going for a pleasant evening walk around the area
  2. 02:04:31: <TheRaven> Taggart is at the range, killing time and racking up an impressive ammunition bill.
  3. 02:05:09: <AgentFlowers> Lily is standing behind him, fawning over his rifle. Damn that's a sexy rifle.
  4. 02:05:37: <Tretter> Ross walks out of the med bay with his bag.
  5. 02:05:58: <PresidentEvil> <<Attention all available Poolboys: Please report to Command for a briefing immediately.>>
  6. 02:06:04: <Tretter> He spies the others and walks over.
  7. 02:06:19: <Tretter> And quickly turns around to Command.
  8. 02:06:47: <TheRaven> "Well, looks like we're up."
  9. 02:06:57: <AgentFlowers> "Hail our robot overlords.
  10. 02:06:59: <AgentFlowers> "
  11. 02:07:02: <Strife> Hijack heads to Command
  12. 02:08:02: <Tretter> Ross shivers on his way to Command. He doesn't know whether it's from fear or the cold.
  13. 02:08:05: <TheRaven> Taggart heads off to the command tent. "Hopefully it's not bitey lizards again."
  14. 02:08:36: <AgentFlowers> "Yeah eh?" She follows.
  15. 02:10:08: <PresidentEvil> The wind picks up a bit on your way up the hill to Command. The site is unusually calm tonight...
  16. 02:10:49: <PresidentEvil> Randy, as usual, is in the briefing room waiting for you.
  17. 02:11:40: <Tretter> Ross decides to hang back and let others get there first.
  18. 02:13:05: <Strife> Murphy stands by and listens up
  19. 02:13:15: <TheRaven> "So what's up? More octopi?"
  20. 02:13:43: <PresidentEvil> "Better." Randy says. "There's a chance we've found out where that anomalous transmission came from.
  21. 02:13:51: <Tretter> Ross dodges into command and stands near the exit.
  22. 02:14:15: <PresidentEvil> Randy notices. "Oi, new guy. Get over here, you'll miss the briefing."
  23. 02:14:40: <Tretter> "Sorry." Ross goes and stands/sits with the group.
  24. 02:14:44: <AgentFlowers> Lily frowns at the new guy. Someone in derelict of duty?
  25. 02:15:51: <TheRaven> "Oh crap. The motherships are already in orbit, aren't they."
  26. 02:16:33: <Soulless> 6df+8 Stoat sneaks in
  27. 02:16:34: <Glacon> Soulless: Stoat sneaks in: 10 (6df+8=3+, 3+, 0, 0, 0, 0)
  28. 02:16:37: <Strife> "I'm all for research, but I say that we take immediate steps to be sure."
  29. 02:16:57: <PresidentEvil> "Fortunately not. Y'see, we've put up cameras and motion sensors in the old tunnels, once they've been swept.
  30. 02:17:05: <Strife> "that show was messed up, and clearly kx"
  31. 02:17:34: <PresidentEvil> Randy is facing the only entrance to the briefing room, Stoat. He sees you immediately. "Oh, Agent Thorne. Glad you could make it."
  32. 02:17:35: <Tretter> Ross sits there confused about the talk of motherships and transmissions.
  33. 02:18:15: <Soulless> Stoat recomposes herself, caught. Ffff.
  34. 02:18:22: <Soulless> She joins the group, saying nothing.
  35. 02:18:24: <AgentFlowers> "So who has jurisdiction? Security or Espionage?"
  36. 02:18:46: <TheRaven> "Hey Stoat."
  37. 02:18:48: <PresidentEvil> "Usually security. But tonight, we're escalating this matter to your task force."
  38. 02:19:25: <Soulless> "..." She nods to Taggart.
  39. 02:20:07: <PresidentEvil> He picks up a remote and turns on the projector. "This is one of the research offices a few hours ago." He pushes play, and nothing happens for a few seconds.
  40. 02:20:10: <PresidentEvil> "Wait for it..."
  41. 02:20:12: <AgentFlowers> Lily waves cheerfully to Stoat.
  42. 02:20:41: <Tretter> Ross nods at Stoat, remembering the kitchen.
  43. 02:21:21: <PresidentEvil> After a few seconds, a computer monitor on the desk flickers on.
  44. 02:22:44: <PresidentEvil> Perception to make out what's on the screen, if you please.
  45. 02:22:48: <Strife> Murphy is watching closely,
  46. 02:22:57: <AgentFlowers> 6df+5 huh?
  47. 02:22:57: <Glacon> AgentFlowers: huh?: 2 (6df+5=4-, 3+, 4-, 0, 4-, 4-)
  48. 02:23:15: <Tretter> 6df+4 Hmm...
  49. 02:23:15: <Glacon> tretter: Hmm...: 2 (6df+4=4-, 4-, 3+, 0, 4-, 0)
  50. 02:23:19: <Glacon> Soulless: look at all this perceiving: 8 (6df+8=4-, 4-, 3+, 3+, 4-, 3+)
  51. 02:23:19: <Soulless> 6df+8 look at all this perceiving
  52. 02:23:19: <TheRaven> 6df+7 wuuut
  53. 02:23:20: <Glacon> TheRaven: wuuut: 7 (6df+7=0, 4-, 0, 3+, 0, 0)
  54. 02:23:33: <Strife> 6df+3 perception
  55. 02:23:33: <Glacon> Strife: perception: 2 (6df+3=4-, 0, 0, 0, 3+, 4-)
  56. 02:23:36: <Soulless> Stoat nods to Lily and Ross.
  57. 02:24:28: <PresidentEvil> The image is fairly grainy CCTV footage of a crappy monitor. Taggart and Stoat recognize it very quickly... although they've probably never seen it in person.
  58. 02:24:36: <Tretter> Ross flicks his cube a few times as he stares at the screen.
  59. 02:24:36: <PresidentEvil> Never seen it in its original habitat, sorry.
  60. 02:24:41: <PresidentEvil> http://livinginpursuit.files.wordpress.com/2012/04/aastandby.jpg
  61. 02:25:13: <TheRaven> "The hell's that?"
  62. 02:25:31: <Soulless> "..."
  63. 02:25:31: <Tretter> "The hell's what?"
  64. 02:25:35: <Soulless> "Stand by...."
  65. 02:26:51: <AgentFlowers> "Stand by?"
  66. 02:26:54: <PresidentEvil> Randy squints at the screen. He frowns, pushes a few buttons, and manages to zoom in on the monitor.
  67. 02:27:38: <Soulless> Stoat remains mute.
  68. 02:28:26: <AgentFlowers> "...why does that...look familiar..." Lily frowns, and rubs her forehead a little.
  69. 02:28:37: <Tretter> Ross still looks at the screen, not quite understanding what he is supposed to be seeing.
  70. 02:29:40: <PresidentEvil> "It's one of those old test patterns for TV. Normally, they'd show one of these if they had technical difficulties or something."
  71. 02:30:18: <Strife> "right. I remember those"
  72. 02:30:37: <Tretter> "I've heard of them."
  73. 02:31:16: <AgentFlowers> She shakes her head. "No, I know that, but...I dunno, maybe it's nothing. I just felt like it was important for a second."
  74. 02:31:53: <PresidentEvil> "What's important is that nobody's actually used one of these stills in decades, and even if they did there's no power to that section."
  75. 02:32:23: <Soulless> "..."
  76. 02:32:24: <TheRaven> "That'd hardly be the weirdest thing I've seen happen here."
  77. 02:32:34: <Soulless> "So I assume we're going to check out the source."
  78. 02:32:57: <Tretter> "Lovely, it'll probably be dark there."
  79. 02:33:16: <PresidentEvil> "Pretty much." Randy pushes a map across the table at you.
  80. 02:33:33: <Soulless> Stoat checks up on the map.
  81. 02:33:45: <PresidentEvil> "If any of you have a camera, try to get as much footage of any anomalous broadcasts as possible. Research wants it for later analysis."
  82. 02:33:53: <Tretter> Ross leans forward to get a better view of the map.
  83. 02:34:53: <PresidentEvil> It's a pretty standard map of the old site. Randy's circled the location of the camera and a nearby access point from the surface.
  84. 02:35:21: <Soulless> "Who among us has a camera."
  85. 02:35:39: <Tretter> Ross nervously taps his maglight.
  86. 02:36:16: <Tretter> "I have a disposable one in my bunk... Wait, no I don't. It got crushed when I was getting recerted."
  87. 02:36:25: <PresidentEvil> "Any other questions?"
  88. 02:36:49: <TheRaven> "Damn, where's Cecil when you need him..."
  89. 02:37:53: <Strife> "I'll draw a camcorder out of research"
  90. 02:38:05: <AgentFlowers> "Probably our best bet."
  91. 02:38:23: <PresidentEvil> "I'll call ahead, have a runner bring it to the entrance point for you."
  92. 02:38:52: <PresidentEvil> Randy reaches for the phone on the conference table. "If there's nothing else, you should get to it. Best of luck guys."
  93. 02:38:58: <AgentFlowers> "Awesome, thanks Randy."
  94. 02:39:12: <Tretter> "Glad to help."
  95. 02:39:45: <PresidentEvil> Randy gives Lily a thumbs up as he starts punching in numbers.
  96. 02:40:40: <Strife> "a
  97. 02:40:50: <TheRaven> Taggart heads over to the research entrance.
  98. 02:41:00: <Soulless> Stoat heads on over as well, mute.
  99. 02:41:00: <Strife> Lright. Sounds like a fun little expedition. "
  100. 02:41:26: <Tretter> Ross follows behind him, being careful to stay within the light.
  101. 02:41:32: <AgentFlowers> Lily walks with Taggart.
  102. 02:41:35: <Strife> Murphy heads over, charging a round into his sidearm and collecting the camera
  103. 02:41:59: <PresidentEvil> The entrance Randy marked for you is little more than a decrepit stairwell poking out of the rubble. One of Research's gofers is waiting for you. He's got a camera for each of you.
  104. 02:42:39: <PresidentEvil> They're fairly rugged digital models, with a lanyard and an attachment point for a helmet mount, if any of you are wearing one.
  105. 02:42:51: <AgentFlowers> "Thanks bro. I'll bring it back in one piece."
  106. 02:43:09: <Tretter> Ross takes his camera and sticks it in his pack. He mutters his thanks as he walks away.
  107. 02:43:12: <PresidentEvil> "How many times have I heard that before..."
  108. 02:43:37: <Soulless> Stoat takes hers, putting it around her neck to begin recording.
  109. 02:43:47: <Strife> "so, you can just assume that they're gonna get lost?"
  110. 02:44:03: <Strife> "and not require that we sign for them?"
  111. 02:44:13: <PresidentEvil> "You're new to this Task Force, aren't you?"
  112. 02:44:34: <Tretter> "I don't really plan on using mine, so I'll sign something if I have to.
  113. 02:44:36: <Tretter> "
  114. 02:45:06: <TheRaven> "If it can be broken, we'll find a way to break it."
  115. 02:45:15: <AgentFlowers> Lily chuckles a little and starts down the stairs, flashlight on and attached to her rifle.
  116. 02:45:15: <Soulless> Stoat motions to Taggart.
  117. 02:45:41: <Soulless> Stoat follows Lily, in no mood to dilly dally for a newbie.
  118. 02:46:09: <Strife> Murphy turns on the camera, giving a quick report into it before stepping off
  119. 02:46:15: <AgentFlowers> "Once more into the breach, dear friends, once more."
  120. 02:46:26: <Tretter> Ross just follows the others.
  121. 02:46:50: <TheRaven> Taggart follows after everyone else, at the back of the group.
  122. 02:47:06: <Soulless> Stoat has her flashlight on.
  123. 02:47:38: <PresidentEvil> The air inside is still and musty. As you round the landing and head out into the corridor, someone steps on glass from a broken lightbulb.
  124. 02:47:49: <Tretter> Ross turns his maglight on and shiver's a bit. He doesn't like the dark.
  125. 02:47:53: <PresidentEvil> Other than the soft crunch, the tunnel is completely silent.
  126. 02:48:04: <Soulless> "..." Stoat keeps going.
  127. 02:48:22: <TheRaven> Taggart slings his rifle and swaps to his 1911, since it's got a taclight.
  128. 02:49:02: <PresidentEvil> Who picked up the map?
  129. 02:49:38: <Soulless> Stoat has it.
  130. 02:49:42: <Soulless> I think?
  131. 02:49:54: <PresidentEvil> Stoat, the map says you should hang a left up here.
  132. 02:50:24: <Soulless> Stoat points and heads off.
  133. 02:51:05: <Tretter> Ross searches his pocket for his cube but can't find it. He must have left it at Command.
  134. 02:51:21: <Tretter> He doesn't like this, but he follows Stoat.
  135. 02:51:28: <Strife> Hijack is looking around at the old site
  136. 02:52:07: <AgentFlowers> Lily is just slightly ahead of Stoat. Meat shield.
  137. 02:52:43: <PresidentEvil> Hijack, it's a lot like every other containment site you've been at. Lots of concrete and cinderblock walls, flourescent light tubes... occasionally you pass piles of debris, or caved in doorways.
  138. 02:54:47: <Soulless> Stoat lets Lily be the meat shielf.
  139. 02:54:56: <Soulless> She doesn't like it... but she doesn't want to argue.
  140. 02:55:13: <PresidentEvil> After a few more minutes of walking, you round a corner and see light spilling, softly, out of a doorway down the hall. Looks like that's it.
  141. 02:56:15: <Tretter> "Let's go look at this scary computer screen, shall we?"
  142. 02:56:34: <AgentFlowers> Lily makes a cutoff motion at Ross. Shut up.
  143. 02:57:03: <Tretter> Ross get's the hint and mentally slaps himself.
  144. 02:57:13: <Strife> Murphy stacks up alongside the doorway
  145. 02:57:21: <Soulless> "..."
  146. 02:57:42: <Soulless> Stoat sneaks closely towards the light.
  147. 02:57:44: <Tretter> Ross takes out his pistol. Nothing like being prepared.
  148. 02:57:45: <Soulless> 1d10+8 sneek
  149. 02:57:46: <Glacon> Soulless: sneek: 17 (1d10+8=9)
  150. 02:57:55: <Soulless> 6df+8 GOD FUCKING DAMMIT FUCK ME
  151. 02:57:56: <Glacon> Soulless: GOD FUCKING DAMMIT FUCK ME: 8 (6df+8=0, 0, 0, 4-, 3+, 0)
  152. 02:58:01: <AgentFlowers> Lily puts her back against the wall by the door.
  153. 02:58:30: <PresidentEvil> The light continues to spill out from under the doorway.
  154. 03:00:41: <PresidentEvil> Whenever you're ready, guys...
  155. 03:00:46: <Soulless> She peeks in.
  156. 03:00:51: <Strife> Murphy taps Lily on the shoulder, signaling that he's ready to clear the room
  157. 03:01:19: <Tretter> Ross just stands there ready to shoot things if the need arises.
  158. 03:01:36: <AgentFlowers> Lily is looking at Stoat for the clear.
  159. 03:02:05: <PresidentEvil> It's a standard metal door. If you want to see any more, you've gotta open it up.
  160. 03:03:21: <AgentFlowers> Alright. Lily signals Stoat to hold, and waves Taggart up.
  161. 03:03:22: <TheRaven> "Oh for...someone just open the door."
  162. 03:03:29: <Soulless> Stoat waits for Lily then.
  163. 03:03:32: <Soulless> She holds.
  164. 03:03:56: <AgentFlowers> Sigh. She stands at the door and readies her rifle, then nods.
  165. 03:04:01: <TheRaven> He steps up.
  166. 03:04:26: <AgentFlowers> Ready freddy.
  167. 03:05:11: <TheRaven> "Go."
  168. 03:05:59: <AgentFlowers> I've got a gun in my hands jackass, open the door.
  169. 03:06:32: <TheRaven> Taggart opens the door, quickly scanning the room.
  170. 03:06:45: <Soulless> Stoat also peeks in.
  171. 03:06:54: <AgentFlowers> Lily is pointing her rifle into the room while the door opens, flashlight on!
  172. 03:07:12: <PresidentEvil> The door creaks open, soounding somewhat annoyed at the sheer amount of time it takes a squad of badass killers to turn a fucking doorknob.
  173. 03:07:18: <PresidentEvil> Err... rusty. It sounds rusty.
  174. 03:08:04: <Soulless> Stoat just follows damn orders, doorknob. You don't get to judge her life! #yoloswag
  175. 03:08:28: <AgentFlowers> The buddy system is procedure. Procedure is tantamount.
  176. 03:08:39: <Strife> M
  177. 03:08:41: <PresidentEvil> The door thinks less of here for using those acronyms. Anyways, the room is like most of the disheveled offices you've seen after the Big One
  178. 03:08:59: <AgentFlowers> "...Clear."
  179. 03:09:07: <TheRaven> "Clear!"
  180. 03:09:13: <PresidentEvil> Papers scattered everywhere, chair upended, the shards of a long-shattered coffee mug on the floor next to the desk...
  181. 03:09:25: <PresidentEvil> And, on the cneter of the desk, the monitor.
  182. 03:09:27: <Strife> Murphy think bad things about room clearing in the foundation, flowing in and taking up a spot halfway on the left side
  183. 03:09:43: <Tretter> "Looks like my home office, but less cluttered."
  184. 03:10:20: <PresidentEvil> PLEASE STAND BY
  185. 03:10:32: <Strife> He goes and examines the monitor.
  186. 03:11:59: <PresidentEvil> The monitor is a pretty standard flat panel. The same test card flickers on it, a pair of speakers on the desk crackling softly, then it flickers for a moment.
  187. 03:13:23: <PresidentEvil> It flickers over to a set of colorbars for a second, then to what appears to be a news program. An older gentleman with a British accent is behind the news desk. The caption under him says "US ASSISTANCE OFFERED IN STADIUM BOMBING INVESTIGATION"
  188. 03:15:07: <Soulless> "..."
  189. 03:15:17: <Strife> Murphy starts taping.
  190. 03:15:24: <Soulless> Stoat has been recording this whole time.
  191. 03:15:34: <PresidentEvil> "...thanked the FBI for their offer, but has yet to issue a statement confirming or denying that US Federal Agents will help investigate the events of this Monday."
  192. 03:15:48: <Strife> "someone else want to take hard copy notes?"
  193. 03:15:53: <Tretter> Ross shifts uncomfortably, and steps into the room.
  194. 03:16:13: <Soulless> She steps inside and records the recording.
  195. 03:16:46: <PresidentEvil> "Excuse me a moment, I'm being told that two more victims have just died in hospital, making this the deadliest attack at any sporting event in the history of the country."
  196. 03:16:52: <TheRaven> "What got bombed now?"
  197. 03:17:06: <AgentFlowers> Lily circles the room, getting footage of everything else in there, just in case.
  198. 03:17:41: <PresidentEvil> A telephone number appears at the bottom of the screen "Again, anyone with information pertaining to Monday's bombing is encouraged to contact the Scotland Yard helpline. Rewards are being offered for information leading to an arrest of the bomber."
  199. 03:17:55: <Tretter> "Bombing, bombing, bombing. I've heard of this one, I think."
  200. 03:18:16: <Tretter> Ross pulls a mostly intact chair and watches the broadcast.
  201. 03:18:27: <PresidentEvil> "In other news, they blame you, Agent MacDonald." says the presenter. Nobody hears this part but Lily.
  202. 03:18:34: <TheRaven> "In the words of a total shithead who used to work here, it's probably memetic or something."
  203. 03:18:59: <AgentFlowers> Lily freezes. "Did you guys hear that?"
  204. 03:19:11: <Tretter> "Hear what?"
  205. 03:19:14: <Soulless> "What."
  206. 03:19:33: <Strife> "most likely. The number? Yeah, I don't know the area code, though."
  207. 03:19:40: <PresidentEvil> To everyone else, he's talking about some controversial bill that's making its way through parliament."
  208. 03:19:51: <Tretter> "Last thing it said was that the bomber was being rewarded or something."
  209. 03:19:59: <AgentFlowers> "He said my name."
  210. 03:20:01: <TheRaven> "Wha?"
  211. 03:20:12: <Soulless> "...No. It didn't."
  212. 03:20:31: <AgentFlowers> She comes back around in front of the monitor. "I swear this thing just said my name."
  213. 03:21:01: <TheRaven> "See? Memetic or some shit."
  214. 03:21:01: <Tretter> "Lily, here, sit down. You look rather pale."
  215. 03:21:04: <Soulless> "Then get away from it. If it's anomalous we don't even know what it does."
  216. 03:21:05: <PresidentEvil> "Once again, for our viewers just tuning in, they blame you, Lily MacDonald."
  217. 03:21:09: <PresidentEvil> Still only Lily hearing it.
  218. 03:21:11: <Strife> "memetic threat."
  219. 03:21:16: <Tretter> He gets up from the chair and offers it to Lily.
  220. 03:21:35: <AgentFlowers> "Fuck, I...I didn't..."
  221. 03:21:41: <PresidentEvil> "The survivors blame you. The families blame you. And if the ones who died could talk, well I think they'd all blame you too, wouldn't they?"
  222. 03:21:43: <Tretter> "Lily, sit down. You don't look well."
  223. 03:21:58: <Strife> <<command, this is Researcher Castillo, probable memetic threat.>>
  224. 03:22:13: <TheRaven> "Lily, out. Someone start figuring that TV out."
  225. 03:22:15: <PresidentEvil> Nothing but static. You might be too far down.
  226. 03:22:29: <Tretter> "Lily! Sit down!"
  227. 03:22:32: <AgentFlowers> "No, I didn't...it wasn't..." She shakes her head.
  228. 03:22:43: <Strife> "Taggart, could you and Lily pull guard on the hallway, please?"
  229. 03:22:47: <Tretter> "You look like you're about to pass out."
  230. 03:23:05: <PresidentEvil> "But it was. If you had taken three minutes to check the road, everyone would still be alive."
  231. 03:23:26: <PresidentEvil> "If you had simply done your duty, Miller would still have his legs today."
  232. 03:23:40: <AgentFlowers> "I KNOW THAT! I fucking know that! Fuck you!"
  233. 03:23:41: <TheRaven> He puts an arm around Lily and guides her out.
  234. 03:23:55: <PresidentEvil> "Wouldn't you blame yourself, if you were in his position?"
  235. 03:24:01: <AgentFlowers> She fights Taggart off. "Fuck you!"
  236. 03:24:25: <Tretter> "Lily, from what you're saying and how you're reacting, I assume it's talking to you."
  237. 03:24:35: <PresidentEvil> The newscaster has taken on a rather venomous condescending tone, now.
  238. 03:24:43: <Tretter> "Now calm down, and sit down!"
  239. 03:24:46: <Strife> "Agent. This is a memetic threat. Follow your training and get some distance please."
  240. 03:25:05: <Strife> It's in his best comforting command voice
  241. 03:25:09: <AgentFlowers> "I fucking know it's my fault! I killed them! Alright? Does that fucking make you happy!?"
  242. 03:25:13: <Soulless> Stoat looks for where the tv is connected.
  243. 03:25:19: <Soulless> Err, the screen
  244. 03:25:40: <PresidentEvil> "And what if I was happy? Would it make them stop hating you?"
  245. 03:25:50: <TheRaven> "Oh, fuck this."
  246. 03:26:03: <PresidentEvil> "Would my own satisfaction make them stop shredding your letters and start answering your calls again?"
  247. 03:26:09: <TheRaven> Taggart turns around, levels his sidearm at the TV, and empties a magazine into it.
  248. 03:26:15: <Soulless> Her extra hands begin digging in and around the electrical wir- or not.
  249. 03:26:53: <Soulless> The extra hands pull away at the gunfire.
  250. 03:27:02: <Tretter> "Taggart, was that needed?"
  251. 03:27:16: <TheRaven> "Yep."
  252. 03:27:18: <PresidentEvil> "And such a temper, Agent." replies the TV, now talking to Taggart and Taggart alone.
  253. 03:27:36: <Tretter> "Lily, come with me."
  254. 03:27:39: <Strife> Murphy politely waits for the ringing in his ears to stop before he starts shouting.
  255. 03:27:45: <PresidentEvil> "So headstrong. So quick to solve all your problems with a well placed bullet."
  256. 03:27:48: <Tretter> Ross attempts to lead her into the hallway.
  257. 03:27:56: <TheRaven> He looks at the TV. "You really think that shit's gonna work on me?"
  258. 03:28:03: <AgentFlowers> Lily shoves him off.
  259. 03:28:14: <PresidentEvil> "Do you really think those bullets are going to work on me?"
  260. 03:28:22: <Strife> "It's talking to you now, Agent?"
  261. 03:28:26: <Tretter> "Lily, calm down. At least take this."
  262. 03:28:28: <Strife> "interesting."
  263. 03:28:35: <Tretter> He hands her a bottle of water.
  264. 03:28:40: <PresidentEvil> "Then again, I can't blame you for trying."
  265. 03:28:45: <AgentFlowers> She slaps his hands away and swears in French.
  266. 03:28:57: <Soulless> 6df+8 Stoat tries to cut the connecting wiring to the screen.
  267. 03:28:57: <Glacon> Soulless: Stoat tries to cut the connecting wiring to the screen.: 12 (6df+8=3+, 3+, 0, 3+, 0, 3+)
  268. 03:29:05: <Soulless> By chucking knives at it.
  269. 03:29:18: <PresidentEvil> "A well placed rifle round has solved all of your problems to date. Hell, that trigger finger even solved your little scuffle with Nolan a few months ago."
  270. 03:29:23: <PresidentEvil> What wires, Stoat?
  271. 03:29:31: <Tretter> "Doggammit, Lily, I'm considering just punching you to get you to calm down."
  272. 03:29:42: <TheRaven> He twitches. "Fuck you."
  273. 03:29:54: <Soulless> Whatever is connected to the screen?
  274. 03:30:08: <Soulless> Assuming there are wires connected to the tv.
  275. 03:30:16: <PresidentEvil> "Did it feel good to take him out?"
  276. 03:30:50: <PresidentEvil> "Did it feel good to burn him to a crisp, after all the times he showed you up?"
  277. 03:31:39: <Soulless> She's mostly trying tocut the power.
  278. 03:31:46: <Tretter> "Lily."
  279. 03:32:05: <PresidentEvil> There are no cables, Stoat.
  280. 03:32:14: <PresidentEvil> The TV is also unharmed.
  281. 03:32:29: <Soulless> Okay, then.
  282. 03:32:35: <Strife> "Agent, time to step out."
  283. 03:32:36: <TheRaven> Twitch. Twitch. "I didn't have a fucking choice." He turns around. "Fuck this thing, we're out of here."
  284. 03:32:42: <Tretter> "Calm down, it's trying to get into your head. Whatever it is that it said to you is wrong."
  285. 03:33:03: <PresidentEvil> "Of course, Jack! You're the alpha male here now, you make the rules!"
  286. 03:33:10: <AgentFlowers> "No it isn't. They're dead, and I killed them."
  287. 03:33:15: <PresidentEvil> Strangely enough, Lily hears the TV say Jack. Just that word.
  288. 03:33:20: <Tretter> "You're one of the best people I've ever met here."
  289. 03:33:45: <Soulless> Stoat begins trying to push Lily and Taggart with her extra hands. "You two. Get out of here."
  290. 03:33:45: <Tretter> "No, you didn't kill those people."
  291. 03:33:54: <Strife> "hiya TV screen. Fair odds that you can hear me. I look forward to figuring out what makes you tick later, okay?"
  292. 03:34:08: <AgentFlowers> She grits her teeth. "Don't fucking call me Jack."
  293. 03:34:16: <PresidentEvil> "Don't worry, Ross. I'm sure you can save her. Just like you saved the brave men and women of Rho-8, am I correct?"
  294. 03:34:31: <Tretter> "No."
  295. 03:34:32: <Soulless> "Does anyone here know electronics."
  296. 03:34:38: <Tretter> "No!"
  297. 03:34:39: <TheRaven> "Do you really think I give a damn what a talking TV says about me? We're leaving. Now."
  298. 03:34:58: <Strife> "a bit, but it's obviously funny."
  299. 03:35:15: <Tretter> Ross trembles.
  300. 03:35:22: <AgentFlowers> "Don't you ever fucking dare call me Jack!"
  301. 03:35:37: <Glacon> AgentFlowers: Melee to punch the screen: 5 (6df+3=4-, 3+, 3+, 3+, 4-, 3+)
  302. 03:35:37: <AgentFlowers> 6df+3 Melee to punch the screen
  303. 03:36:04: <Tretter> Ross levels his gun and empties an entire magazine at the screen, not caring who or what is in the way.
  304. 03:36:18: <PresidentEvil> There's a crunching noise, and your hand is bloody when you pull it back, but the screen is intact.
  305. 03:36:25: <PresidentEvil> -1 to actions involving that hand.
  306. 03:36:33: <Tretter> "I had to kill them! I didn't have a choice!"
  307. 03:36:43: <Tretter> Ross is in tears.
  308. 03:36:46: <TheRaven> "Leaving. Now. Come on." He steps out of the room.
  309. 03:37:24: <Soulless> Stoat nods in agreement. She attempts to grab Ross with her extra hands and pulls him out.
  310. 03:37:41: <Strife> "damn, either everyone at this site is unstable, or your pretty good, screenie. Tata for now.
  311. 03:37:43: <PresidentEvil> "Of course not. You killed your friends instead of helping them because you /had/ to. For what it's worth, I respect you the most out of your group here."
  312. 03:38:07: <TheRaven> Where's Lily?
  313. 03:38:08: <Strife> Murphy puts a hand on Road's shoulder to help him out
  314. 03:38:09: <Tretter> Ross refuses to move. He stares at the screen with all the hate he could find.
  315. 03:38:16: <Soulless> 6df+6 (Tag: Extra hands) They tug the shit out of him
  316. 03:38:17: <Glacon> Soulless: (Tag: Extra hands) They tug the shit out of him: 11 (6df+6=3+, 3+, 3+, 3+, 0, 3+)
  317. 03:38:28: <AgentFlowers> Lily is on her knees, cradling her injured hand.
  318. 03:38:47: <Tretter> Ross attempts to put another magazine in his pistol, but it drops out of his hand.
  319. 03:38:58: <Soulless> Stoat is pointedly attempting to ignore the screen as she tries to help people get out.
  320. 03:39:05: <Tretter> He scrambles for it as he is dragged away.
  321. 03:39:19: <TheRaven> Taggart puts an arm around her and drags her out.
  322. 03:39:26: <PresidentEvil> "Tell me, Agent Thorne. Has he sent word to you even once?"
  323. 03:39:31: <Tretter> "I didn't have a choice! Ididn'thaveachoice!"
  324. 03:39:55: <PresidentEvil> "Or do you tell yourself he's been vivisected late at night because you know he just doesn't care anymore?"
  325. 03:40:04: <PresidentEvil> It's talking to Stoat, now.
  326. 03:40:22: <Soulless> "..... Who. Are you. Talking about."
  327. 03:40:53: <PresidentEvil> "Oh, don't play games with me, you know exactly who I'm talking about. Or did you never care about Charon to begin with?"
  328. 03:41:11: <Soulless> "..."
  329. 03:41:12: <Tretter> Ross has tightened himself into a ball and lays on the floor, crying.
  330. 03:41:23: <Soulless> "You don't know me."
  331. 03:41:30: <TheRaven> "We're done. Go. Now."
  332. 03:41:47: <AgentFlowers> "I killed them...It's my fault..."
  333. 03:41:50: <Soulless> She holds Ross out with her extra hands and /pointedly/ doesn't look at the screen as she makes sure everyone else is outside.
  334. 03:41:54: <Soulless> Is everyone else outside?
  335. 03:42:08: <AgentFlowers> Lily is with Taggart.
  336. 03:42:11: <PresidentEvil> "Of course I don't."
  337. 03:42:26: <PresidentEvil> "If you keep telling yourself that, maybe one day he'll come back for you."
  338. 03:42:37: <TheRaven> "Stoat, come on. You're stronger than this fucker."
  339. 03:42:39: <Tretter> Ross has stopped crying, but he can't find his maglight.
  340. 03:43:00: <Tretter> He desperately tries to get back in the room to find it.
  341. 03:43:01: <Soulless> ".........."
  342. 03:43:28: <Soulless> Stoat's lips twitch from their usually stoic expression.
  343. 03:43:49: <Soulless> She strides out once everyone else is out.
  344. 03:44:25: <TheRaven> "Let's go."
  345. 03:44:26: <PresidentEvil> Ross breaks away from Stoat just long enough to get back in.
  346. 03:44:39: <Strife> Murphy stands in the doorway for a last look, going after Ross
  347. 03:45:10: <Tretter> He dodges around looking in desperation for his light.
  348. 03:45:18: <Strife> "hey, we're leaving man, come on"
  349. 03:45:21: <PresidentEvil> "Agent Murphy. You said earlier you'd like to find out what makes me tick."
  350. 03:45:37: <Tretter> "nonononononono."
  351. 03:45:39: <Strife> "Researcher, actually."
  352. 03:46:09: <TheRaven> "Get the FUCK out here!" Full sergeant voice.
  353. 03:46:19: <PresidentEvil> "I'm afraid you'll be disappointed to learn that this tv is, in terms of matter, functionally identical to any other one in use at this complex."
  354. 03:46:26: <Strife> "I've got a spare surefire, Ross, be a nice improvement, you know?"
  355. 03:46:40: <PresidentEvil> "I can, however, show you what a family of four looks like after they've been crushed by an Abrams Main Battle tank."
  356. 03:46:48: <Strife> "damn. I'm not surprised, although disappointed"
  357. 03:46:54: <Tretter> Ross finds his light in the corner of the room. He snatches it and turns it on, shaking in fear.
  358. 03:47:07: <PresidentEvil> The newscaster shuffles some papers. "Disappointed? In me?"
  359. 03:47:31: <TheRaven> "Everyone out." Taggart pulls a grenade off his belt.
  360. 03:47:38: <Strife> "I was hoping to find some cool material inside the screen yeah."
  361. 03:47:52: <Strife> "Agent, pull back. I got this."
  362. 03:47:58: <Tretter> Ross is shaking his head, too afraid to move.
  363. 03:48:14: <Strife> "so, what is your mechanism, if I may ask?"
  364. 03:48:19: <Soulless> 6df+6 (Tagging: Heart) Stoat pulls him over
  365. 03:48:19: <Glacon> Soulless: (Tagging: Heart) Stoat pulls him over: 7 (6df+6=0, 0, 0, 3+, 4-, 3+)
  366. 03:48:30: <Soulless> Or rather, Stoat attempts to pull Ross out.
  367. 03:48:46: <Tretter> He doesn't have the will to resist.
  368. 03:48:55: <PresidentEvil> "Well, that would be telling. It's one of those things you have to experience for yourself. Like intercourse, or burning to death trapped in an armored vehicle."
  369. 03:49:28: <Soulless> She drags him out, then and leaves him there, then goes to grab Murphy.
  370. 03:49:32: <Soulless> "Come on."
  371. 03:49:50: <Strife> "yeah, I'd imagine so. You especially limited to this screen?"
  372. 03:50:13: <Strife> He gets up to leave, watching it closely.
  373. 03:50:20: <Tretter> Ross is still shaking. His flashlight flickers than returns to normal.
  374. 03:50:25: <PresidentEvil> "Tell me, why did you want to turn your gun on them. Was it actually an attempt at mercy, or were you just too squeamish to hear them burn..."
  375. 03:50:33: <PresidentEvil> "Evidently you were too squeamish to end their suffering."
  376. 03:51:22: <Strife> "yeah. I was hoping for the chance of a rescue. Why the guilt attacking?"
  377. 03:52:04: <PresidentEvil> "Why did you enlist in the military? Why did you decided to be born? Why anything?"
  378. 03:52:19: <Soulless> "Let's go, Murphy."
  379. 03:52:21: <Strife> "fair enough answer."
  380. 03:52:26: <Soulless> Stoat takes his wrist.
  381. 03:52:37: <Strife> "you gonna be good to chat later?"
  382. 03:53:13: <PresidentEvil> "Oh, trust me Researcher. If we decide to talk it's going to be on my terms, not yours."
  383. 03:54:36: <PresidentEvil> "Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm afraid that's all the time we have for tonight." the anchor says, standing up and buttoning his suit coat. "Tune in next time, at... well, that would be telling, wouldn't it?"
  384. 03:54:48: <PresidentEvil> He walks out of view, and the screen flickers off.
