vlt: Sorry if I'm not giving enough info, the server is no physically onsite as of yet so I cannot test this yet. referring to what I expect: I basically want to be able to transfer their data across to the new server(including home directories, desktop icons, shares) and for them to be able to access it and be able to get on with their work as soon as the new server comes online and their new thing clients connect to it.
