  1. I write this as a concerned customer of Amazon and reader of the website Kotaku, where your company advertises.
  2.
  3. On August 28, Kotaku writer Luke Plunkett posted an article headlined, "We Might Be Witnessing the Death of an Identity." The identity he's referring to in his article is that of consumers like me: video gamers.
  4.
  5. The article paints gamers like myself as "obtuse s***slingers" and "wailing hyper-consumers" who "dictate from a dark corner of the internet."
  6.
  7. Kotaku is using your advertising dollars to print articles that insult the customers you're trying to reach. I am writing as an Amazon customer of over 10 years to urge you to re-evaluate your relationship with them. I'm certain these views are not Amazon's, but it reflects poorly on your company to see an article calling me a "s***slinging hyper-consumer" directly next to an Amazon ad trying to sell me a video game.
