  1. Black Depths Triumphant - Artifact 5
  2. Even for its great size, this black jade daiklave is tremendously heavy. The slab of black jade that makes up its blade is riven with veins of the dull gray steel of Hell. The hilt, including its wide crossguard, is made of the same metal, which results in the weapon being exceedingly tip-heavy. The hilt and crossguards are adorned with the designs of black dragons, mouths open and fangs bared. The Black Jade used in the blade is of the purest variety, mined from the ocean floor of the far West in the First Age, and as such it seems to contain a pitch-black sea within it. When seen from the corner of one's eye, eel-like movement can sometimes be seen in the black depths.
  3.
  4. Imbued with both the essence of the Water Dragon and the Black Boar that Twists the Sky, the weapon carries with it an innate understanding of the Essence of Density and Weight. While an impressive weapon regardless of its wielder, it works best when used by someone with a similar understanding of the Essence of gravity and crushing weight. When wielded correctly, the blade can draw strength from the density of the swordsman's Essence, or crush his foes beneath its own endless weight.
  5.
  6. * If the wielder has a higher Lift than his opponent, he may reroll (the difference of the two character's Lifts) damage dice on a successful attack, to a maximum of (Essence) dice.
  7.
  8. * The wielder adds his own Lift to his raw damage when using Black Depths Triumphant.
