  1. Here is the situation as it actually happened:
  2.
  3. During game 1 on Museum SZ, a player on our opponent's team was lagging heavily.
  4. In fact, he/she was consistently teleporting. We have multiple occasions of said
  5. teleporting on video. The worst one was where one of our players got killed by
  6. a kraken from the other side of the zone. We send this video in the helpdesk and
  7. Kbot has acknowledged it.
  8.
  9. We were annoyed by the lag, and we decided amongst eachother that we would just
  10. play the game out and report it if it happened again in the next game.
  11. We won game 1 pretty easily nontheless, but then all of a sudden the captain
  12. of the opponent said that they had a DC in the last 30 seconds. You guessed
  13. which player had the DC.
  14.
  15. Their captain went to helpdesk and asked if they
  16. could replay, and i couldn't believe my eyes when i saw the answer: yes, replay.
  17. So not only did they have a huge and very unfair advantage over us for almost
  18. the entire match, they actually get rewarded for it as well when they guy/girl's
  19. connection finally gives up and DC's. As you would understand, i wanted an
  20. explanation on a ruling like this.
  21.
  22. So I also went to helpdesk and pinged Kbot.
  23.
  24. No response.
  25.
  26. I waited about 5 minutes and tried pinging the TO role to get the attention of
  27. any TO.
  28.
  29. No response.
  30.
  31. As you can imagine our whole team was really agitated at that point but we decided
  32. to suck it up and just do the replay. I said so in helpdesk. We lost the replay.
  33. At this point, still no one replied and we knock the second game out in about 50
  34. seconds. I check helpdesk again after it, still no reply. Game 3 is starting and
  35. since i subbed out, i decide to just keep an eye on helpdesk again. What do you know?
  36. Kbot is answering everyone again... except me.
  37.
  38. So i try to remain completely calm and just mention that i'd also like an answer.
  39. I got one: "you said you went on to play so i didn't think it needed attention"
  40.
  41. Well no. So because i did not want to hold your tournament up, i get punished? What
  42. kind of logic is that?
  43.
  44. A ruling had to be made when i originally pinged you. Idc what your reason
  45. was for not being around at that particular moment, but if you're not, then at least
  46. make sure there's someone else to handle it.
  47.
  48.
  49. This is too absurd for my taste so i decided to just run with it. We won the third game
  50. and at least the report is out there to take note for future opponents of this team.
  51. But that doesn't mean it's ok. And it's an absolutely awful way to deal with these
  52. kind of situations.
  53.
  54. To sum it up:
  55. 1. We had a disadvantage all match long because of a player with a really bad connection.
  56. If i'm not mistaken, you actually forced that very same player out in their next match.
  57. I'd almost think it's a personal thing... Why did you take action for them, but not
  58. for us? Anyway, let's not get side tracked.
  59. 2. Not only was that player allowed to play with such an unfair advantage, he actually got
  60. rewarded for it by giving a replay.
  61. 3. The speedtest they provided, which by the way i never asked for because imo that video was
  62. quite clear on what was going on, was clearly fake because in the next round a speedtest on
  63. that player led to a DQ.
  64. 4. Multiple pings in the helpdesk channel were ignored completely.
  65. 5. Only after the match was done, did we finally get a reply. The answer: we don't need to do
  66. anything because you won anyway.
  67.
  68. Welp.
