  1. http://crypto.stackexchange.com/questions/2086/predicting-values-from-a-linear-congruential-generator describes one way to break the lcg - the lower 20 bits of the (initial) state can be determined from the lower 3 bits of the random numbers, allowing the remaining 24 bits to be brute-forced in a reasonable amount of time.
