  1. it's funny because the bible sure is just the guide for right and wrong isn't it? oh yeah except for the fact that it teaches horrible people that slavery is a-ok and that God can kill anyone if he doesn't like them and fags aren't people etc
  2. you know what I use as grounding for myself? I have humanity within my heart. the only basis I need is putting myself into the shoes of human beings and understanding people. you think I need some crazy book full of contradictions to tell me to give human beings some understanding or compassion and that I need some deity to judge for me what's right and what's wrong? morality isn't something above humanity's reach that you need a god to guide you on it. it's a human made concept therefore it should be up to human beings where it goes. I don't consider myself religious or atheist because I used to be from /x/ (before greenpill shit became a thing and /x/ went really downhill and became aligned with /pol/)
  3. morality should be based on human understanding and wisdom and not by scientific analysis of the chemicals in the brain concerning it or by some book written as a guide for religious people. this constant versus between the religious and nonreligious isn't a part of that human understanding and everyone is just trying to foolishly justify their own beliefs. honestly whatever you believe should be up to you. however, morality should be a human concept and not guided by beliefs from any side. what it really comes down to is it's subjective and based on understanding others and yourself. sure because it's subjective it looks difficult to form an understanding. what it comes down to is experience with others and how people feel. that doesn't mean if you can't seem to figure it out that you need some sort of "objective guide" to attempt to lay understanding out for you. in fact I'd say trying to make morality objective can lead to dark things because it alienates human beings based only on the realization that not everyone follows the same "objective" morality :^)
